    Interesting article:

Byron York: From former Trump lawyer, candid talk about Mueller, Manafort, Sessions, Rosenstein, collusion, tweets, privilege, and the press

…The answer lay in Trump’s longtime habit of operating on two levels. On the surface, Trump sets off controversies, often using Twitter to say something outrageous that sets the media agenda and leaves some commentators with their hair on fire. At the same time, below the surface, Trump is actually taking steps to get a particular job done.

That was true with the Russia probe. For public consumption, Trump was denouncing Mueller and trashing his team. Behind the scenes, Trump was cooperating and making sure his staff did the same. The Trump White House offered everyone (except, of course, the president himself) to be interviewed, and reams and reams of documents that other White Houses might have withheld on the grounds of executive or other privilege. So Trump simultaneously attacked and cooperated.

Asked about the attacks, Dowd said Mueller understood that Trump had to mount a political defense on the Russia issue. “Bob understood this, it was political,” Dowd said. ” [Trump] had to handle the political side, and that was his way of doing it with his tweets and his comments … Bob was a big boy about the political side of it. He understood the president had to address the politics of it. He couldn’t just say nothing. People were pounding him about this thing every day, both privately and publicly, and he had to take [Mueller] on.”

      Really interesting, given the controversy:

Dowd wasn’t finished. “[Sessions] was just a miserable failure as an attorney general, I don’t feel sorry for him at all. [Trump] had good reasons to be upset with Sessions’ performance.” Beyond that, Dowd said, “The guy [Sessions] hurt him. He hurt him. He did tremendous injury to the president, and shame on him for doing it. And I agree with the president. I’d have fired the son of a bitch right away.”

I always thought Sessions was a huge problem, and how in heck do you be that incompetent unless you’re really trying hard? I do not know why he took the job and did what he did and left a record like that.

Last year I read a revealing article by a man who said he was a lifelong friend of Sessions. I thought the article was at Americanthinker.com, but couldn’t find it. However, the author indicated Sessions was excellent at some things–such as the prosecutions he took on years ago–because he’s a plodder and gets into the nitty gritty. However, Sessions also has a great problem with simply letting things go…sort of a procrastinator supreme…when it comes to items which don’t hold his full and tenacious interest.

Sessions is a good person but this character flaw, which the man said all his old friends know about, did him in. His forte is honing in on one thing and taking care of it. The job of attorney general was way too big for him.

When all is said and done, perhaps Sessions will have been very thorough at the few items he DID do. On everything else he will be shown to be a failure.
          ———–

Americanthinker.com has numerous articles on Sessions. When I did the search I found something similar to the one I read…June 10, 2018 – “Explaining Jeff Sessions” By Hugh McInnish – https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2018/06/explaining_jeff_sessions.html

Many folk put their concerns about Sessions in writing. I think the President knows Jeff Sessions is a good, moral man. But he kept giving him the benefit of the doubt on the crisis issues long after he should have fired him.

Now I see that unnamed members of Mueller’s Get Trump team are leaking laundered details of The Report ahead of its planned release – reason given is that the natives are restless. One wonders if this isn’t a Mueller move to rebrand details with phony narratives to make The Report to seem more of a massaged Trump-motivated effort than the true results of a deep investigation into the Trump Swamp.

That is a very good article. I knew the boys were sedated, but I didn’t know much about what they were sedated with. Isn’t it amazing that they all were saved under such dangerous circumstances? I mean, only one went to the hospital.

I thought they did that as if you look at the squeaky small passages they had to squeeze these kids through and how long it would take for each one to navigate the tunnel, even were it lit and above water, it was a gimme. One kid panics and it would not only put the kid’s and diver’s lives in danger but it could block or even damage the pathway. It worked, that’s what counts and my hat’s off to them all.

A New Orleans woman described as having ‘mental problems’ attacked and stabbed two people who were leaving church early this morning. She stabbed the woman in her neck and back and a man in the arm. A small child was with the woman and was not hurt but the PD charged her with 3 counts of attempted murder even though the child was not hurt.

The stabber is out of jail on a $1500 bond for stabbing a woman during an argument in the French Quarter in January. Let’s see what kind of bond she gets on this set of charges.

This is ridiculous! Did anyone else not know that hijabs are allowed in the U.S. military? How does she square being alone with men who are not relatives as would be required in combat or in headquarters? Does the military allow men to wear religious clothing? Service members who are Christian aren’t allowed to wear crosses on the outsides of their uniforms. And how about Sikhs…do males get to have long hair? How about devout Mormons with special underwear? Honestly, give her a dishonorable discharge!

“US Muslim soldier suing Army, claims she was forced to remove her hijab in front of others”
April 4, 2019 1:00 PM by Robert Spencer

“Though her MEO complaint was reportedly found to be ‘unsubstantiated,’ Valdovinos told the publication she now intends to take legal action against the U.S. Army for infringing upon her First Amendment rights by violating her freedom of religion.

She didn’t convert until 2016. I am sure she felt “religiously raped” in front of her unit when she was made to remove her hijab. 🙄 Give me a break. I am certain she never wore one until then. She is just being good and causing trouble and trying to change things. Also, I notice that she is also complaining because she worked in the kitchen and now refuses to handle pork, so she was transferred.

“In the complaint, Valdovinos reportedly alleges she was removed from her post as a “culinary arts specialist” because of her “religious preference to not handle pork” and claims she was referred to as “the girl with the hood” by her sergeant, among a number of other incidents, according to Yahoo.”

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
