The fix is in – all charges dropped at the behest of Smollett’s friends, Michelle and Barack Obama.

I give Rahm Emmanuel credit – he did the right thing.

But why did Rahm do the right thing? This is odd. I’m guessing money exchanged hands between someone in the prosecutors’s office and Team Smollett. Announcing it now on the tail of the Mueller exoneration my best guess is that the prosecutor is hoping that this is just a blip on the radar.

Rahm seems genuinely mad but he is a professional liar so I’ll wait and see what happens.

From what I’m reading, Soros spent over $400,000 on this state attorney’s campaign and a former Michelle Obama aide, Tina Tchen sent messages to her in regards to his case, along with other family members and supporters who she was communicating with through texts.

But she must be green in the gills because to do this without Rahm’s approval was a big mistake. If it is traced back to Michelle Obama, if Obama threw egg on the face of his old buddy Rahm, we know without a doubt that the wheels are off the Liberal Hand Basket to Hell.

I had forgotten that she had recused herself earlier due to close ties with family and friends of his, until I read a news article about it. So she recuses herself then drops charges, she’s a good fit for Chicago.

lovely, consider – how many shootings/murders/etc are solved in Chicago? 5%
Yet, this one “hate crime” case, tied to K Harris’ new hate crime legislation, has the full force of the Chicago PD thrown at it and is solved, albeit not in the way it was designed.

What are the odds Rahm did not step in and demand the Chicago PD put their best and brightest on this, knowing Smollett was a VIP friend of a VIP friend? What are the odds the Police Super did just that and was expecting praise for his efforts?

There is more to this than we are being told. The Chicago PD, the Police Super, Rahm E, and many others, acted out of character on this one case. Rahm and the Police Super were acting out of anger for not being recognized for their heroic efforts, which they expected.

smh We will never know. But watch for the Chicago solved cases to go back to 5%.

The crime rate/prosecution was offered up by the DA’s office as one item in a fig leaf bouquet as to why they whitewashed…errr…expeditiously dealt with the Smollet case, they could then concentrate on the more seriouser felonies. The courts could also offer up the case as cleaning up 16 separate felonies when it comes time to gin up the production figures at the end of the year.

As for Rahm I still think he’s in political CYA mode. His Obama owners appeared to have pulled a pharaoh on him ans be-trayed his release by throwing him under the Smollett ex-press. Rahm’s worried, I do believe, that unless he can generate enough personal fire to burn this Smollett slime off of him, especially with Obama prints seemingly all over it, he’ll be out of politics and back to selling shoes at Walmart.

how many shootings/murders/etc are solved in Chicago? 17%

I think the answer is very simple. The prosecutor acted independently. She made a huge mistake.

Federal charges have not been dropped and are independent of State charges.
