Our great President was masterful at the final press conference in Hanoi which just ended at 11:53 PM PST. Wish some news outlet was going to offer an AF1 take-off. I’d stay up for that.

Some idiot at the presser (not sure who but a major network rep, I think) had to ask, of course, about Cohen and very inappropriately used Cohen’s lying words to insult the President to his face in front of the international press. IMO, that man should be banned forever from asking another question of President Trump. The President handled the question with dignity and calmness.

I’m glad the President and SOS Pompeo “walked” without having signed an agreement. They know what they are doing. I’m proud that both of them are running this negotiation. Fine effort all the way around.

BTW, I just looked up Pompeo’s bio and most things I am somewhat familiar with. However, this new item was heartwarming to me: Mike and Susan Pompeo are affiliated with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Pompeo serves as a local church deacon and teaches Sunday school.

In 2014, Pompeo told a church group that Christians needed to “know that Jesus Christ as our savior is truly the only solution for our world”. In 2015 in a talk at a church, Pompeo said that “politics is a never-ending struggle … until the Rapture.”

1 ) No, that’s not Vincent van Gogh’s “Starry Night” painting, but the swirls are pretty convincing. NASA’s Juno spacecraft has sent back some lovely new photos of Jupiter that give us all of the Post-Impressionist feels.

In the new images, atmospheric features in Jupiter’s northern hemisphere showcase clouds that swirl around a circle in a jet stream region called Jet N6.

Juno took the photo 8,000 miles from the cloud tops during its 18th close flyby of Pluto on February 12.

The image has been color-enhanced and rotated by citizen scientist Kevin M. Gill. In case you’re wondering what raw images look like when Juno captures them, you can browse and play around with them yourself. And then you can create some swirly, starry and out-of-this-world inspired art of your own.Source 62 CBS Detroit News

The first minute of Bohemian Rhapsody is not the bandmates singing together. It is a multitrack recording featuring only Freddie. The iconic video that shows the bandmates singing is actually lip-syncing.

    😳

(I’m aware that some of you already may have know this, but it is news to me.)

    5) As Michael Cohen speaks, think about how remarkable it is: a man convicted of LYING to Congress is now appearing before Congress again… just weeks later. Invited by the Democrats as their star ‘witness.’ And all the while, the left hails his every word as gospel.__Rep. Mark Meadows

Something simply is off with all of the presentation of Michael Cohen.

Cohen could have made a more presentable representation of himself during his congressional testimony. He could have made his lies more credible. He chose not to. He presented himself as a befuddled, ill prepared, slow witted feckless whiny rat.

There is no way citizen Trump kept an attorney like Cohen in his employ for 11 years if this is the best that Cohen can do.

So logic tells us the Cohen is playing a role with his aw shucks character.

    • Good morning lovely! I’m happy you got your power cord and are now at 100 % power! It is a good feeling. 🙂 Cohen was a disheveled mess and didn’t sound very bright. I do hope he’s just an actor in this play and got the Dems to trust him, but is revealing all he knows to President Trump. Time will tell. Have a wonderful day!

I didn’t watch enough to really get a feel for what Cohen knows but I assume after 11 years in Trumps’s world Cohen knows quite a bit.

Having Lanny Davis pulling the strings is the same thing as having Hillary pulling the strings. My opinion on Davis as Cohen’s choice is very simple. He chose Davis for the same reason Jackie Kennedy became Jackie Onassis, the same reason Lady Di was so intrigued with Dodi Fayed. Protection. Power to power.

IfCohen is as slow as he appears in the small portion that I watched there is simply no way he could have passed the bar.

I don’t know who Cohen is aligned with but I do know that the man we saw on the stand was not capable of withstanding Trump as a boss for 11 years.

Things could be just as presented and Cohen may be entirely off of the Trump train, the act may have been a sympathy grab.<< (Most likely scenario)

        Mighty curious.

Lots to pick from today, but my personal favorite is Amazon delivery (actually any delivery, including groceries from my local store.) I used my Amazon Prime to send my grandson a 12-pack of his favorite beverage to him at college. It will be delivered tomorrow. The beverage? Honest Tea Half Tea and Half Lemonade.

We don’t use the food-food delivery but it still amazes me that if I need Japanese mayonnaise (yes.it’s a real thing) – poof – there it is in my mailbox within days. Real Sicilian sardines, real foods from almost anywhere in the world and a mind boggling choice of items to prepare it – poof – right there in my almost-middle-of-nowhere Mississippi with no driving to a big city that won’t even have that much of a potential supply. And just 20 years ago….nada.

I can order food from Walmart (gag) as needed and have it ready for me to pick up but a bad as it is being limited to Walmart for some stuff is bad enough but shopping for me is still a hands-on ‘must’.

My son had food delivered a few weeks ago. This is the OTR trucker, and he eats Keto so he stocks his refrigerator and freezer and cooks a lot. He uses the steamer bags of vegetables they sell in the produce section.

He was irritated that everything like that on the order had a very short expiration time. I hadn’t thought about something like that, but yes, from milk on I look at lots of things for their expiration date.

The last time I was able to visit a very special in my life uncle and aunt in Nebraska before they died I cooked a lot for them. They both especially enjoyed one of my soups, and although it wasn’t home made, when I got home I ordered some from Amazon and had it delivered to their door.

My aunt was dying and my uncle was cooking, cleaning, tending her, and shopping. He did have quite a bit of help from the church members, but still, saving him some time was important to me.

The point is, it sure is nice to be able to use a service like Amazon to do good things for other people, isn’t it?

#5 – lovely, have you watched any other vids of Cohen? Before you make up your mind, check out a few.
Cohen strikes one as decidedly slow. Would be curious to learn how Cohen passed the bar exam.
iirc, Cohen’s father was a great attorney who aided Mr Trump more than a few times. Cohen’s employ with Mr Trump suggests employment as a favor to Cohen’s father, rather than any reflection on Cohen’s actual ability, or lack thereof. imo

IMO you’ve hit the nail on the head with #5. It was phonied-up to gain some kind of sympathy or perhaps even something deeper…wanting to indicate to the world that President Trump is not only NOT a good, ethical, generous, discerning boss but he can’t pick winners, his children are losers because he’s made them that way, and his caring about people is all an act.

Cohen painted a horrible picture because that was what was required of him by Lanny Davis, the guy who works for free. And the whole set-up was and will remain about 2020.

And in #1 speaking in passing of VanGogh…found this very interesting article about the “only” painting he sold in his lifetime (or was it?)…”The Red Vineyards at Arles” – 1888….

Looks like our next volunteer crew might well be….CHICKENS!

At the end of our street, close to the ‘main’ road (three feet wider with real pavement) it appears someone dropped of two healthy, shiny, henna roosters. They look like those chickens someone buys for the kids that, once growed, cause the owners to say something akin to: “Why the $%^#@ did we ever buy these?”. They’re not scared of humans so they’ve been around us but they’re really wary. We can get within three feet but that’s it.

We’re feeding them trying to get them used to us to the point where we can snatch them up and relocate them. If it works we’ll no longer have the need for the news to give us the correct time for sunrise.

The yoga goats are just a little insane. I do not want to go lay in the pasture and let the goats climb and jump all over me. I’m really not into pain and those little hooves cause pain.

To be honest I do not know what they are. I even asked this woman who claims to have therapy goats, what they do. I asked her if she works with disabled kids, takes them to children’s events, nursing homes? She does none of that and all she would say is they provide whatever therapy you need.

A crock is what I think it is. Something to play on all these nuts who say they have a therapy animal for everything from depression to gender identity issues.

Also, I will tell you a goat is probably the worst animal to ever have as a therapy animal, because they’re so unpredictable. They can be sweet one minute and biting you the next, not to mention the young goats see butting as playing.

I am spending some time making posts for Lenten Sundays, because I am supposed to be painting. Good grief I am sick of painting. So, killing time to keep from doing what I seriously have got to get back to and get the heck over with!! Anyhow, the Prodigal Son reading comes up one Sunday, which prompted me to find this image.

It is a statue in a garden open to the public near our church. There are a number of statues in the beautifully maintained garden on the banks of the Tennessee River. This one is in a private little gated reflection area with a bench.

I’ve never seen a more powerful portrayal of this famous parable than this statue. Every inch of it screams the meaning in the words Jesus gave us.

Here’s hoping I got the link right.
