Great song written by my late friend Jimmy Adams. Jimmy and Judy Adams came to our wedding and watched us dance to this song before we lost Jimmy three years ago. Hanna-McEuen do a beautiful version of this song and I will always remember one summer evening on the Texas beach sitting with Jimmy and us playing this song on two guitars. Great life moments with a great friend. I miss you Jimmy!

Thanks Lucille, it was very sweet of you to relay this information to me. I didn’t know this about the song. I always thought the boys of Hanna-McEuen wrote it.
I have always said it was a song of someone who was done being on earth, now it wakes sense.
May Jimmy rest in peace.

Afternoon Lovely! Go get a universal cord from an office supply joint – that’s what I’ve been working with for years…..
LikeLiked by 1 person
Evening Wee 🙂 . I should have asked here sooner. I ordered one off of Amazon last night, I didn’t think about a universal one 🙄. Amazon is charging less than 25% of the Apple price so 👍🏽.

Is the cord ‘Apple certified’? In some cases it doesn’t mean much but we’ve trouble with non-Apple cords.

Apparently Ms Hartup is not familiar with the racist practices of those sweet, innocent Vietnamese. We have the horrible way they treated, and largely still treat, the mixed-race Vietnamese-American and Vietnamese-Russian children born there and who remained after the assorted roundeyes went home. Or the joint Vietnamese-Russian genocide perpetrated on the Hmong for years after the VN war ended – a genocide carried out on a people the Vietnamese called savages and animals long before the war – a genocide carried out partly by Russians deploying and testing chem/bio weapons.
So yeah, Ms Hartup, spend those tweets on blasting the much larger Vietnamese racism and come back to Spicer when you’ve cleaned their clock.

So what is Warren’s opinion on the science that says life begins at conception, or that there are only two genders, or that your status as male or female doesn’t change merely because you wish for it to?
Sure, she believes in science, and I am the Queen of England.

Have to say, none of these come to my yard! I suppose they live in the south Pacific, since many of the riotiously colored birds do.

Hi, everybody!
Starting tomato seeds this morning. They are old seeds, but special varieties, so we will see. If they don’t germinate, I have time to replace them. I’m also starting some herbs today (not old seeds) and some sweet peas. Spring has to get here eventually!
The spatchcocked turkey turned out okay, although I’m not sure that it was that much better than my plain old turkey in the roaster. Still, it is good, and will make plenty of meals and freezer meals for a while, not to mention turkey soup! The soup I made after Thanksgiving was the best.

Thanks! I haven’t done this in a while, so it’s an adventure. Plenty of time until outdoor planting begins.

I keep thinking I’m going to give it a try. I think I just need to buy some tomato and pepper plants that are already started, so I can see if I can even keep them alive.

Buying plants is the easiest way to do it. Plant in good soil (or good potting mix if you are going to grow in containers), don’t overwater, don’t let them freeze, and make sure they get enough light.
I had these special seeds, though, so I thought I would try it. The herbs will grow, so that’s not an issue. I have a heat mat, a seed starter tray, and a light (for when they sprout), so I should get something!

I mentioned my intentions to try and grow some things to my husband this evening and he was supportive but we’re trying to figure out how to keep the raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, etc. from getting into whatever I decide to grow. That’s going to be a challenge. The temps here have been all over the place. The flowering trees are beginning to bloom now, I noticed, when I took a walk today. We’ve had some warm days, but next week we might get some nights in the 20’s. So, I’m not sure when the last frost will be.

Maybe czar has a suggestion, but I think you would need fencing.
You can look up your frost date:

Thank you, Stella! I appreciate your help! I believe I will need fencing. Last year I looked online for small greenhouses, but we get hail several times a year and I’m not sure they would survive it.

My mother used cold frames with old windows as the lids. I suppose you could use an unbreakable material, like clear plastic sheet.

When is your last frost date? Mine is in late April, but mid May is safer.

I have a little patio and can plant just about anything I want. The problem is, it faces south and gets so hot in the summer, which might start next month, that it kills the plants. 😦 I have tried several times and what did manage to grow a little was eaten by the squirrels. 🙄

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Col. Flynn:
Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
