    Yeah, until you consider the struggle they have to survive the winter. We have sacks of corn, bird seed and sunflower seeds we’re putting out and just put the hummingbird feeders out. This fall we’re looking at planting a deer feeder plot in the areas in the orchard between the trees.

    Jussie Smollett is apparently maintaining that his story of “This is MAGA Country!” attack is true 😏.

    This is terrible news for the powers that be within the democratic party. Who would have thought a little Trump hating racist scumbag would put the democrats between a rock and a hard place?

    Bravo Jussie! Keep sucking money out of Chicago’s corrupt coffers and keep damaging the entire democratic party.

    Jussie is doing something awesome, he is going to make the MSM, Hollywood and politicians come out against a gay black man who claims he was attacked by MAGA lunatics (literally people worse than Hitler in the the world of liberals) or make them support his farcical race baiting ill conceived tale of woe.

      Morning lovely! I saw Bob Seger live, in Dallas, at Reunion Arena in 1987, sadly the arena is gone, but what a fabulous concert that was! Apparently, I just really favor purple flowers. love the anemone today and lavender from several days ago. Also love purple hyacinths. All so beautiful! Hope you have a beautiful Friday!

      I’m loving this whole Smollett debacle. LOL Now it cracks me up when FOX has a small panel to discuss the case and they ALL say something about it “being unfortunate, BUT racism is a real thing and we need to have a discussion about it, blah, blah, blah.” Totally deflecting. It won’t be long before my “mute” button is completely worn out. LOL

        People are speculating on the genesis of Smollett’s idea.

        I find that speculation very interesting.

        Kamla Harris jumped on the Jussie wagon immediately and focused on modern day lynchings 🙄 just like her recent proposal to outlaw lynchings.

        (Isn’t that already a law?)

        Anyhow Jussie may have done all of this on his own, he wrote a check to the brothers. I mean that is level of absolute stupidity.

        When people like those at Fox speculate and feel sorry for Jussie I say nope. Jussie with intent and malice perpetuated an evil and this is a discussion about that evil.

        Not to mention that Jussie is still lying about it.

        Jussie is a hateful, idiotic, malicious, arrogant, self-satisifed purveyor of race baiting and terrorizer of his own gay community.

        Racism is not the problem the Left’s blind hate of people who think differently than them is the problem.

        Laughing at their darkness being exposed is good for the soul. It should make us happy.

          I am more than a bit suspicious that little Jussie was in cahoots with Kamala to help push through that bill. Which, I might add, I agree with you. Of course, lynching is illegal, but it appears that it isn’t special enough for it just to be illegal, some blacks have to have it be illegal just specifically for them. Absurd, but we are just on the march to S. Africa, IMO.

          The Justice for Victims of Lynching Act 2018 adds a “lynching” section to existing federal civil rights legislation, explicitly stating that murder by two or more people, motivated by race or religion, can result in a life sentence.

          Given that such homicides can already be prosecuted as hate crimes, which can carry a life sentence as it stands, the bill serves little purpose except as a legislative photo-op, particularly considering that two of the senators who brought it to the floor – Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Kamala Harris (D-CA) – are believed to be planning 2020 presidential runs.

          While lynching was once a serious problem – upwards of 4,700 people, most of them black, were lynched between 1882 and 1968, according to the NAACP, and over 99 percent of the perpetrators escaped punishment – it’s not exactly a popular pastime for even the most repugnant of hate groups anymore.

    ALABAMA WOMAN WHO JOINED ISIS BEGGING TO COME HOME

    Shortly afterward, President Trump said he ordered Pompeo not to admit Muthana.

    “I have instructed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and he fully agrees, not to allow Hoda Muthana back into the Country!” the president tweeted.

    Muthana, 24, has pleaded with officials to let her back into the U.S. following her recent escape from ISIS and capture by Kurdish forces. She was born in 1994 in Hackensack, New Jersey.

    It’s unclear the exact provision the State Department is using to deem Muthana not a citizen.

    But it could be because Muthana’s father was a diplomat, something her legal representative, Hassan Shibly, acknowledged Wednesday.

    A picture tells a thousand words.

    And now she wants to come here, bring her son, a Muslim son of an ISIS “martyr” and live in our free society?

    No.

    Talk about hiding in plain site.

    Muthana called for the spilling of the blood of Americans through terror attacks.

    Choices and words have consequences.

    Wanting to leave a community that is so desperate, so weak, so crushed and defeated that the people of the said community were reduced to eating grass, is not impressive or indicative of a change of heart.

    Muthana is begging for forgiveness and saying that she was wrong to take her tuition money and use it to run away to Syria and join ISIS.

    “I would tell them (US officials) please forgive me for being so ignorant, and I was really young and ignorant and I was 19 when I decided to leave.

    “I believe that America gives second chances. I want to return and I’ll never come back to the Middle East. America can take my passport and I wouldn’t mind.”__Muthana

    Taqiyya or repentance? That is between Muthana and God. Let’s not figure it out on American soil.

    If Hoda has had a change of heart and not simply a loss of power, may God bless her and guide her to safety and repentance.

    I do not want her or her son in my country. Americans who have not made Muthana’s deadly choice come before her and her son and the potential danger they pose to innocent people.

      A caller speculated on Rush’s program today that this is a coordinated incident (perhaps the first in a line-up) to support Senator Harris’s “lynching” bill she and others are promoting. Harris and Smollett are apparently good buddies. The reasoning is that nothing the Dems ever do is coincidental. They plan more than any other party.

      Also, there was an audio clip of some Illinois official indicating there is evidence the Nigerian brothers are Jussie’s drug dealers.

      May all nefarious Democrat plans go awry, end in embarrassment (if they are capable of same), or be nipped in the bud!

        I think we will see more garbage as we get closer to active campaigns. But if rabidly attacking a 16 year old boy white Catholic boy in a MAGA hat and Jussie Smollett are the best they can do, #WalkAway and #Blexit are going to be the two biggest clubs in Americas come November 2020.

        I have been thinking along those same lines. I thought Kamala Harris acted pretty strange when asked about the fact that he had lied. And, along with all that is this Coast Guard, white supremist guy. I don’t believe for a minute that it was coincidence that they chose this time to go after him. Don’t you think that they needed a white guy to distract from a black guy lying about a lynching?

      Prayers of course. I would like to tell of a friend who had an early baby who was only 2 1/2 lbs when she came into the world. Last time I saw her she was a very healthy 6 years old. I don’t remember if there were any problems. But, this was all almost 30 years ago. So, there is a LOT of hope.

      My youngest son and my latest grandson were all premies, around 27-28 weeks and all around 3.5 to 4 pounds. They generally have underdeveloped lungs but NICUs are incredible in the things they can do now. Prayers are there and I see this, as it did with my latest grandson, coming out OK.

      Premies are a bit slower to hit milestones but they eventually catch up. Docs, and we, found it’s very important that premies get heavy attention and patting from parents and grandparents – go forth and pat if you get the chance, many NICUs have foster grandparent programs.

    Should anyone be interested, Devin Nunes is continuing his, um, investigation, into the New Green Deal in this week’s podcast.
    Nunes has been, um, researching, the NGD with Dan Kish from @IERenergy, and last week’s podcast was hilarious. The NGD is podcasts 12, 17, and 18.
    Most podcasts run 15 – 20 minutes, a very few were a tad longer.

    Two podcasts that were educational and valuable for me were podcasts 13 and 14, “Defusing the Pension Bomb” with Dr. Josh Rauh from @HooverIns. Podcast 3 with VDH is a little longer, but really good as well.

    There are some people in life who value themselves so important, they always end up talking too much. Always.

    Some thoughts.

    Lin Wood is publicly going in a very interesting direction with his litigation strategy.

    Scott Adams got me thinking about what specifically the Left was going after in the Covington Case.

    Right after the Lincoln Memorial incident Scott said that President Trump would not do a political rally instead of the SOTUA because the MSM had, through the Covington debacle, painted the red “MAGA” hat as a sign of racism on a large scale in the public eye and that it would be a bad persuasive move for President Trump to speak before a sea of cheering red hats so close to the incident, regardless of the false narrative.

    Scott said that the MSM had succeeded in painting the most successful and iconic campaign symbol, ever created, as racist.

    Anyhow fast-forward to this little Lin Wood interview and notice where Wood states without flinching what is the impetus behind the defamation of “a boy” by the MSM, Hollywood and the Social Media Monsters.

    ”… they attacked this boy because he was white, he was Catholic and he was wearing a red Make America Great again cap. If Nicholas had not purchased that souvenir cap that day at the mall, if he was not wearing it. None of us would know who Nicholas Sandmann is. Followed with a disarming smile and laugh as if what he is saying is an afterthought. Nothing Wood says about a case that he is an active participant in is an afterthought.

    It all comes down to the red hats.

    And white people.

    It all comes down to MAGA.

    And white people.

    Remember Jussie Smollett’s linch pin.

    One of the racist homophobic white attackers shouted”This is MAGA country”. This is what made Jussie’s story dynamite.

    The good news is that both the Covington debacle and the Jussie Smollett hoax were so outrageously badly played that some of the folks who believed that MAGA hats are a clear sign of racism have been confronted with looking into their own prejudices.

    There is a reason #WalkAway and #Blexit continue to grow.

    Back to the interview.

    Todd McCurty makes up the larger portion of the interview and he is also very deliberate in his words.

    McCurty is asked rather snidely if the $250,000,000 lawsuit against the Washington Post is about the message or the money. McCurty responds “The money is the message.”

    Another window into their strategy is that McCurty said that they are seeking damages due to “Perpetual reputation damages” suffered by Nick Sandmann and in the context of the defamation malicious intent, while easily proven, is not a necessary element to their case.

    (Speaking of “perpetual reputation damages” Lin Wood tweeted a link to the Richard Jewel case on his Twitter time line.)

    McCurty also stated that they are continuing to hold the Archdiocese of Covington liable and that its half apology was not sufficient to mitigate the damages that it created.

    Good.

    I gave my MAGA hat away to a young man who was excited just to see one. I need to buy a new one.

    I finally saw an episode of Victoria. I was so impressed, I went back and started at the beginning of the seasons. It is so good. And, I found I am in love with Albert, Lord M (although he died last night), Albert’s brother, and the chef. LOL

    I didn’t realize they called her a midget or dwarf. She was perhaps close to 5 feet tall. Both my grandmothers were 5 ft or less, my aunt was maybe 4 ft 10 in., and my sister was 4 ft 11 in. I’m surprised she was commented on like that since people back then were pretty short anyway. I guess they just expected their monarch to be taller. 🙄

        Apparently there is a version put out in 2017. I’ve not seen it, but Burton’s film is excellent.

        BTW, Olivia de Havilland will be 103 on July 1st. She’s an American citizen but lives in Paris.

        I didn’t pay much attention to him until “LIZ.” Seeing films in theaters was a great rarity before I was out on my own living in the big city of L.A. Then I went nearly every weekend. But as a kid I watched films on TV. That’s where I knew of all the great stars of the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

        I’m sure you recollect that you didn’t have to pay for TV service then. You just went out and bought a TV and either put up an aerial or screwed the spliced wires onto the wall hook-up or used portable rabbit ears. Our little southern California town received the transmissions loud and clear from the Los Angeles stations.

        I saw MY COUSIN RACHEL on TV, but it may have been when I was in my early 20s and viewing one of the evening movie shows on local independent stations.

        Burton was excellent in THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, and BECKET was a tour de force. He was crazy wonderful in THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA–still one of my fav films. I recall seeing WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF in a theater; and he made ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS when I was working at Universal and we all saw it for free. Other than those, I can’t even name his films.

        He’s one of those stars who seldom put in a poor performance but whose life-in-the-spotlight and his reputation for heavy carousing pretty much made him unwatchable because his real life kept intruding on your thoughts instead of being able to view his performance for what it was. Sad, and he died young to boot.

          LOL Yes, we had a TV with rabbit ears. I rarely saw a movie in the theater until I was grown, and I remember seeing the horror movies on stations that were so snowy I could hardly tell what was happening. I really love getting to see them now because I can tell what is happening. 🙂 And, I loved all the old movies and everything John Wayne was in.
