NSA Bolton speaks on Venezuela

Obtained from Facebook, compliments of Greta Van Susteren.

For all of you following what is happening in Venezuela…here are the rough pool notes from NSA John Bolton talking to the press pool short time ago:

Here is the full Bolton gaggle on Venezuela

Trump said all options on the table, does that include military?

“I think that speaks for itself. What we’re focusing on today is disconnecting the illegitimate Maduro regime from the source of its revenues. We think consistent with our recognition of Juana Guaido as the constitutional interim president of Venezuela that those revenues should go to the legitimate government, it’s very complicated, we’re looking at a lot of different things we have to do, but that’s in the process. We’re speaking with governments in this hemisphere which have overwhelmingly recognize the new constitutional government. We’re talking to our colleagues in Europe and elsewhere to demonstrate widespread political support for the interim presidency, and we’re moving to do everything we can to strengthen this new legitimate representative government”

Has the President spoken to opposition leader?

“The vice president spoke to him the evening before the recognition statement made by the president and others are speaking with him as well, through our embassy in Caracas, our personnel, we’re still there, they’ve been invited to stay by the legitimate government, consistent with their safety, that’s our intention, but we’re working really around the clock here to do what we can to strengthen the new government”

Since the beginning of the administration, Maduro and his government have been the focus of sanction while other authoritarian leaders have gotten congratulatory calls, why is Maduro worse than all the other dictators, say in China, in Turkey, in the Philippines, in Russia, etc?

“Well your question is full of fallacies that I won’t go into intricate answers on though I would be in a drier environment be happy to do that, the fact is Venezuela is in our hemisphere, I think we have a special responsibility here, and I think the president feels very strongly about it.”

‘All options are on the table’ is meant to tell all concerned that the military option is viable, it’s a thinly veiled threat. Lets the other side know what’s a working option and baits other with a stake, e.g. China, Russia and Cuba to react.

That last question is proof of the utter stupidity of our presstitutes. Perhaps Fake News have not noticed that people are starving and dying in Venezuela, and have been for well over a year. Afaik, those in the other countries mentioned are not starving and dying.

Oh, that’s right, there have been no reports of presstitute abuse in Venezuela. Our presstitutes therefore do not care.

VP Pence has spent much time in these Latin American countries the past two years, and speaking specifically about Venezuela. One suspects VP Pence was given a free hand in Latin America, and VP Pence has delivered.
If so, well done Pres Trump for giving this task to the correct guy, and well done to VP Pence for a great outcome.

Here is a short (1:21) clip of Bolton’s answers to press questions, should anyone be interested. Apologies there is not more; this is all that could be found on youtube.
