    Hi there all you Stellars! Its been raining all week. When it rains it pours…and here at home the pouring hasnt been to our benefit the past couple months. Its really…pouring. A lot of the reason I am MIA.

    Kiddo is still on a roller coaster but the track is toward improvement even though he has rotten days still. He will see private OT this month and the public school just contacted me for an eval. He was invited to a birthday party and a playdate and got an exception to participate in a school craft club so he has that social interaction.
    Keeping my eyes on the prize.

    I hope everyone has a fantastic friday! (Especially since that letter to nancy from POTUS was such a zinger😂).

    NATIONAL WINNIE THE POOH DAY

    National Winnie the Pooh Day is observed annually on January 18th.  Author A.A. Milne brought the adorable, honey-loving bear to life in his stories which also featured his son, Christopher Robin.  National Winnie the Pooh Day commemorates Milne’s January 18, 1882, birthday.

    Milne’s lovable Pooh Bear, as he was fondly called, is a fictional bear inspired by a black bear named Winnie who lived at the London Zoo during World War I. The author’s son, Christopher Robin, would visit the bear often and named his own teddy bear after her and a swan named Pooh.

    This friendship inspired a collection of books starting with Winnie-the-Pooh in 1926. The books were illustrated by E.H. Shepard.

    In the 1960s, Disney bought the rights to the Winnie-the-Pooh characters dropping the hyphen from Pooh’s name. The illustrations were a bit different, too.

    Milne’s stories have been translated into over 50 languages and are considered classic children’s stories today.

      That opal geode is so beautiful. I have several geodes – one is next to me on a stand, and it is filled with amethyst crystals. I believe it is from Brazil.

        Awesome . I have a very small one with amethyst crystals that a friend gave to me, I’m not sure where it is from. I think the opal geode is stunning.

        I have a neat geode I found in Egypt, it’s sorta dog bone shaped and the top 3rd was sheared off lengthwise by what could only be a bomb. The inside is a mass of small crystals all neatly arranged.

        We were stationed at an Egyptian air base the Israeli AF had smacked in the ’73 war. We were in the desert and the assortment of rocks we had was amazing, many folks filled up the empty shipping containers we brought back with rocks and petrified plants. In my case I was out by an aircraft bunker the Egyptians had faced with layers of rock cemented into place. One side had taken a direct hit and as the Egyptians never really cleaned thing up the sides that had been blown out were still scattered about. The sun caught the geode as I walked by and the glint was startling. I spent some down time cleaning concrete off of it and was so captivated by it that what’s spent untold eons in the desert now resides in deep southern Mississippi – and is a damn site better off for it.

        You think SAND when you think desert but the Egyptian desert has seas of rocks. While we were digging around the campsite, about 6 feet down, we found a huge bed of stones, all polished round and flat and just a bit smaller than a hockey puck, that could only have been shaped by water action over a long period. I brought back a bunch that looked like flat donuts with another rock stuck into the ‘hole’. Ahhhhh, to go back to the desert with a shovel.

      The truth of President Trump’s cancellation of Nancy’s trip, and it’s real purpose, is to expose the trip to the American public. If it had gone ahead, most people would not know that Nancy was going away for a week while thousands of Federal workers are furloughed, meaning that the partial shut down would continue for at least another week while she and her buddies had a vacation in Brussels and Egypt (yes, they were visiting Afghanistan too, but that was just to make the trip look better.) President Trump also, very wisely, cancelled his own delegation to the World Economic Summit in Davos.

        I’ve read about the truth about these vacations on the tax payers dime. Sickening people.

        And the military doesn’t like being used or inconvenienced to accommodate a horde of self congratulatory politicians.

        President Trump is shinning a light on so many shenanigans.

        Let’s see if some of the Pork gets trimmed now that the 30 day mark in the government shutdown has been reached.

        Amazing President. Imagine how much goes on in his mind and how much he knows, how much he leverages and how much he must enjoy seeing their faces once the trap is revealed with the rats in it?

        Master negotiator and master persuader, so much fin to watch.

    Good evening Stella and Imaginary Friends.
    Your collected comments every day are such gold. You’ve no idea how many take joy from reading here.

    Said goodbye to Wicked Son today. He leaves tomorrow early a.m., just in time for the first major snowstorm to hit, 8-10 inches expected. A U-Haul, plus two cars. He will be back occasionally until June, as DIL is staying here till June to finish her degree.

    So it is just me now. No family left.
    Except…
    Obstreperous GDaughter, my clone, has moved in with her BF, 4 streets up from me. What a cruel joke. lol
    WS will stay in a gated complex until a house is found, On the lake, with all amenities -3 BRs, 2 bath, sun room, plus pool, exercise room, the full gambit, even an Amazon hub. The rent is more than my monthly income. ! He now makes much more than his last boss. CIO. Not much better than that, except going to a larger school perhaps. NCAT (North Carolina Ag & Tech) is not so little, though. Right outside Research Triangle, in Greensboro.

    And yet… Reminded him not to forget he has a mom. Some here are acquainted with the emotions right now. Loss, and yet pride, excitement, etc., for him. And the best – no snow!

      My youngest moved down to Chicago just 3 weeks ago. she is house sitting for her sister who is in Asia for four months. I expect her to stay down there once the house sitting gig is over. It is really strange to be a true empty nester.

      I miss her daily but am happy daily that she is starting her independent life.

      Oh and she is going to Bangkok for 2 weeks in February 😑.

    BREAKING: Buzzfeed investigative reporter, who broke the bombshell story of Trump directing Cohen to lie about a Trump Tower deal in Moscow, said on CNN that they haven’t seen any evidence to confirm their story.

    The story was written by Jason Leopold a plagiarist, who has written sourceless articles before (Salon) that proved to be false. Leopold has said of himself that he had engaged in “lying, cheating, and backstabbing” in his life; battled mental illness; and struggled with substance abuse.

    This is the type of person the Left is hanging its hope upon.

    Never mind. Special Counsel Office says Buzzfeed Report Not Accurate.

    Listening to Dan Bongino who says it was a canary trap. That means that President Trump just outed another enemy.

    Extraordinary that Mueller instructed his office to make an official statement on this matter.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    Jay Sekulow is on Fox talking about the information gathered by the FBI and SC being fruit of the poisonous tree. I believe that this is going to come to an end sooner rather than later.

    Bongino said that the BuzzFeed story was a canary trap. If true this was a huge bold move and the hand of President Trump is tipped. If the opponents of America had any doubt of how wily President Trump is, they now know without a doubt that they are dead in the water.

    When did conservatism become it’s alright to murder babies? We have a legislator who is introducing a bill in our state to abolish abortion by making abortions illegal in this state and the screaming by conservatives is crazy. You can’t criminalize abortion, big bad SCOTUS is going to come after us, it’s an assault on women, it’s a violation of the Constitution, on and on and on.
    I even read one stupid woman say if the baby has no heartbeat then it should be allowed and she actually argued with me that a baby didn’t have a heartbeat until 21 weeks, past the legal time to get an abortion. She votes and she votes Republican. smh
