Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald will hold a news conference to update the press on the the 13-year-old Wisconsin teen, Jayme Closs who was found alive on Thursday. Read more on this story HERE:
Jayme Closs, the 13-year-old Wisconsin girl who had been missing since October, was found Thursday malnourished and dirty after she reportedly fled her captor and flagged down a dog walker in the small forested town of Gordon, Wis.
A suspect was arrested just minutes later. But authorities disclosed no further information about the person arrested.
There is little known about Closs’ physical condition, but her grandfather told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis that she was being treated at a hospital and was expected to soon be reunited with relatives.
Closs vanished Oct. 15 after her parents were fatally shot in their home in Barron County, which is about 80 miles northeast of Minneapolis and 65 miles from where she was found. Closs was inside the home where her parents were shot but vanished, prompting a statewide search that included the FBI.
On Thursday the girl, who appeared skinny and dirty, with matted-down hair, reportedly approached a woman who was out walking her dog. The woman knocked on the door of a nearby house and told the couple inside: “This is Jayme Closs! Call 911!”

Smarmiest looking of all was the Feebie 😑.
That said I think Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald did a good job and wasn’t self congratulatory. He seemed grateful. The only back pat I saw him give was to the LE community and the lay community, (special hat tip to truckers who put her picture on their trucks) for keeping Jayme’s picture in people’s faces so that she was immediately recognized although she did, from the sound of it, immediately identify herself and ask for help from the dog walker.
Anyhow. Prayers for the poor child I can not even begin to imagine what the human filth who killed her parents and kidnapped her put her through. I hope he makes it to the general population quickly. Good thing that the rat is white otherwise our new governor might just take him to the govern’s mansion and put him in charge of prison reform.

What a miracle!!! Jayme Closs has been found!!!! I’m so thrilled to hear the news. What has been such a heart wrenching tragedy finally has some happiness in the story. I’m praying for Jayme and all her family that they can have a joyous reunion and as the rest of the country celebrates alongside this happy occasion we all are mindful to give the family their space and privacy on their road to finding a new sense of normal and moving forward. I have no doubt Jayme and her family will forever appreciate the efforts and prayers of the many thousands of people who contributed and kept them in their thoughts and prayers! I hope we may all continue to support and embrace Jayme as she reclaims her life and comes to terms with the reality of her situation. What a brave, strong, and powerful survivor!!!! No matter what may unfold in her story let’s all try to remember that this young woman has SURVIVED and whatever other details may surface the most important will still remain that she is alive.
