    A Joyous Christmas to everyone! 🙂
    For the Christmas Day thread I posted L’Innocence by Bouguereau. For this thread I found perhaps a more realistic and yet a most loving painting by an un-named artist.

    I also wanted to post my favorite Christmas cake with just the baby Jesus, and also the lambs representing the sacrificial nature of His coming to Earth. It is simply made with a few tips found in the most basic decorating kit, and table sugar for the star.

    I wish all the best for all my Stellar friends. May God keep all of us in the palm of His hand, and may the Holy Spirit always guide us closer to God.

    Remember my lovely vintage dress, remember I told my family it’s going to be a fancy Christmas this year?

    Well…. best laid plans…. and all, I have an ugly slimy cold, my eyes are lovey pink (not pinkeye just blood shot) inside my head sounds like the little drummer boy is stuck on pum pum pum…

    So I am wearing flannel pj pants and a toasty sweater.

    Feetival of the Bonfires ended last night with lighting of bonfires to guide Papa Noel along the river to the homes of the Cajun locals, up river in Lutcher, Grammercy, etc. We attended several times years ago. The highlight of last night we saw on TV was a giant pelican, but I cannot find a pic of it. This is a pic of the traditional pyramids individuals and groups build

    Dear Diary, day 222: I am considering setting up a ‘go-find me’ account. Kitchen utensils still missing. I guarantee that there will be lumps in the turkey gravy, egads. Today I gifted away the family sandbakkel tins but not the family recipe, nope, it’s packed….with the kitchen utensils. My kingdom for a whisk.

    This morning it is 20 degrees, a cold front is moving down from Canada and there is no snow forecast for the immediate future. My furnace is working, my slippers are warm, the tree is lit and Squeaks is curled up on the kitchen counter. It looks to be another beautiful day.

    We’re doing our Christmas here for our GGS on Thursday as he’s having today with his family today. Remember that bag of anthracite coal I bought a few weeks back? Well he’s geeing a lump in his stocking just so he can tell his grandkids that actually does happen.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    As I’m sitting here at my computer reading all the comments, my phone rang. The name popping up on the register was unfamiliar. But I answered it anyway knowing somehow that it was for the family who previously had my phone number (since I’ve received dozens of calls for them since April, 2016) and likely was a call with Christmas greetings. Sure enough, that was the case and I could hear music and “family” noises in the background. He called back two more times, not believing my protestations apparently.

    It’s just downright sad that folks don’t let family or friends know when they’ve either moved residence or went to cell-phone-only communication. This particular family just may NOT want to be found.

    Earlier this year, when I was ill in bed, I received a call from the local police department wanting to speak to a female in that family. I told the desk sergeant that the number was mine now and he’d have to find a new number. Well, he called back, making me get out of bed again. Once again I explained the situation. He called a third time, perhaps thinking I really was the female he sought and was lying about it. Sorry to say that I yelled at him, telling him if he ever called my number again I don’t know what I’d do…LOL! He apologized profusely, but several days later the police department called again anyway. LIFE!
