    The fall changes are amazing, it’s a transitional period. The white and red oaks still have their leaves, they won’t drop until just before spring, but the sawtooth oaks have dropped theirs overnight.
    The wooded areas around the house that were all dark and sinister at sundown, buried in deep shadows, are now thin and spindly as the brush, vines and some of the trees have thinned their leaves, you can see deeply into what was inky dark before. The fruit trees are thinning quickly, a few light green leaves left but they’re mostly bare. The trees’ systems will start counting the number of hours they experience below 45-degrees and when the right numbers are reached the enzymes that trigger flowering will start the process – all the result of accidental evolution we’re told.
    Rabbits are grabbing the last grass as quickly as they can. Czarina saw them feeding in the dark as she drove up, they usually hear the car crunching in the gravel well before the headlights turn west and spook them. Much of the year they’re long gone but they all know that food’s going to be in short supply so they’d better stock up now. More accidental behavior due to pure evolution.
    Garage toads, anoles and geckos are finding places in potted plants and the garage for winter. Here it comes again…pure evolution but where the $%#@& did they find garages before we built here 10 years ago? Or are they just quick evolvers?

    Personally, I think it looks like a modern version of a log cabin (even squared off logs, modern chinking). No man building in the wilderness would have built this cabin. But it’s pretty!

    Morning Everyone! 🙂
    So I sort of injured my eyes a bit weed whacking from sand/dirt spray, and now have inflammation & blurry vision. My safety glasses slid off as I slipped a bit. Doing eye drops 6 times a day, and will go back to doc a week next Monday. Could not see well enough to post the past couple of days & should not be looking at computer much, so I’ll just post these and take some time off. I know I’ll cheat & check in from time to time, but no posting if I can manage it! 😉

    Today I wore this hat while voting. After waiting for an hour I finally get to the tables and the woman who takes my paperwork says, “You’re going to need to
    take your hat off.” Puzzled, I look behind me at the voting booths wondering if there is some rule that says no hats while voting. I see two men wearing hats and I turn back to her and say, “Why do they get to wear their hats and I can’t wear mine?” She points to mine and says “Well, yours says Make America Great Again. That’s not allowed.” I reply, “I’m sorry ma’am, but my hat has nothing to do with any candidates that are running.” And I politely smile nice and big and watch that angry face of hers look down and avoid eye contact, knowing she couldn’t bully me into submitting to her. Not today Satan! I’m done being quiet and timid about my views and beliefs. Y’all, there is a major spiritual battle going on right now and you don’t need to be bright to see that. Losing a good chunk of my “friends” for being open about my views and beliefs is worth it. I refuse to be shut up by the “loving and accepting” hateful and bitter left. God is going to have His way and we are going to see a red tsunami, along with a second term of our amazing President. Remember who our real enemy is….not all of these liberal pawns of Satan, but the demonic behind their ideologies and behavior. We need to literally LOVE the HELL out of them!       I voted early yesterday because I’m likely going to be out of town on Tuesday.

      I didn’t have anything I was wearing that would indicate the way I might vote.

      I had a very shrill angry lady giving me instructions on how to use the voting machine (different machines since the last election but still very basic). I was just happy to be voting for Team Trump and the shrill lady was just seemed to be getting angrier even though I hadn’t said a word but was just smiling as she gave me instructions. At one point she got very animated about the difference between the “done” prompt and the “next” prompt 😏.

      I couldn’t stifle my laughter any longer and just giggled. She was aghast. “Why are you laughing” she demanded 😡.

      “I’m just happy to be voting for Team Trump, Mam’, just happy that’s all. ”

      She scowled at me and finished up with her instructions and stomped off 😂.

      Now I was not delighted to vote for Scott Walker because I think he is owned and will help Ryan work against President Trump if Ryan runs for president. But I was delighted to be part of the red wave that is going to give fits to the MSM, the democrat oligarchs and the p*ssy hat brigade.

      Anyhow turn out here for early voting is massive. Waukesha County always, always votes Republican.

    I’m making these cookies with the blueberries we picked in June. The dough is a bit too firm to mix well, but the cookies are tasty.
    If I make them again, I’ll use dried blueberries and add lemon zest. Kind of like “scone cookies”.
