What do you think?

I said I wouldn’t post anything about the “bombs”, but the temptation is too great to resist. I don’t know what to think – yet. How about you?

I have been holding my tongue all day on social media. To be honest, I find it some what strange that all “bomb” went to people who have encouraged violence against Conservatives. I guess it could very well be a Right Wing nut job, but my spidey sense is not liking this.

I think it’s to throw off the attention on the refugee (illegal immigrant) crisis, so maybe we just turn our attention to something else. They are also trying like heck to make Republicans look bad!

    • JTR…Yes that……and I believe Bill Ayers/Bernadine Dorn (married) either did it, or have found a willing stooge (it’s the commie way) young dupe to literally do the making while under their tutelage.

At this point, I have decided I wouldn’t put anything past the Dems. Besides, how many times has someone on the Dems side appeared to have been attacked when it was something they did to themselves?

Here is what I have said and found so far…Looking like its a dozen or so high profile Democrats that got these bombs & not one worked.

    Paul Sperry @paulsperry_
BREAKING: Authorities have determined that some of the bombs were FAKE, not operable, designed as an elaborate stunt

I’m with those above. A liberal-hurled stone to kill two birds: deflect attention from the invading migrant army and elicit sympathy for Dems. A pathetic Hail Mary attempt.

I have a few thoughts about it. Obviously a set up/projection/hoax by the dems by a perp that will have a fresh new footprint online as a rep. Trump supporter, blah, blah. Kinda like that Ford woman. But I wouldn’t be surprised at all if a handful of reps AND Fox news get real bombs. Also blamed on Trump.

    Because we’re not stoopid.

I think it is all a shame. Let’s not make it shameful.

Whether it was intended as a life threat or political hay it must be investigated. The Federal government has the resources to do it today. As a country we cannot allow anyone to threaten our top politicians or former politicians and officials. It really does not make any difference whether half the population wouldn’t vote for them or not.

We don’t want to turn into Mexico where 100 politicians have been murdered this year. We don’t want to turn into Chicago where 2,346 people have been shot. If there was ever a time to use the NSA data, the USPS scanning system data etc. now is the time.

The culprits need to be caught and stopped.

I worked for an organization that periodically received threats, rarely to individuals mostly to the organization. We took every threat seriously. – – Evacuated buildings, called in professionals to investigate etc.

American born/raised employees were casual about evacuations. It is one of those things that you wish you had a nickel for every employee who wanted to go back to their desk to get their purse etc.

We had 2 Vietnam born/raised employees who had served in the South Vietnam military working in our office. They had migrated to the US after the war because it was not safe for them to live in Vietnam. When we gave an evacuation order they grabbed their brief case and evacuated instantly, without question. They had lived in a war torn country until coming to the US. They clearly understood what could be behind a threat.

This is not a game. We need to act like the Vietnamese men and pay attention to threats. We need to find the culprits and lock them up. I don’t care whether their original purpose was threat or political hay.

As I understand it, it is being investigated. Is speculation about the topic categorized as a “game” in your opinion?

        Good morning Stella,

We were gone yesterday on errands. (Background: We don’t do the iPhone thing. We don’t do the text thing. We spent our car time chatting yesterday. The news only comes on the radio station we listen to at the top of the hour and it is only very broad headline news (Christian). However, yesterday the radio was off. As far as communication devices we have flip phones which in today’s world is less than the 3rd world countries have. – – I see lots of iPhones being held by the current 3rd world country invasion force on its way to the border.)

When we got home yesterday I scanned a few headlines then posted by comments above. By that time the bombs were being described as fake. Nancy and Chuck were out “slamming” the President about the bombs being his fault etc. etc. etc.

This morning people with knowledge of bomb making and investigation say that lots of information being released on the fake bombs would normally never be released and would be held as secret. (No photographs of the bombs and their mail containers etc.)

My point is you take every threat seriously. You put it down immediately. You do it for peaceful tranquility. You want the people to feel like those who wanted to go back to their desk to get their purse in last night’s comments.

By the time we got home the headlines were showing the progress of the “investigation”. Based on my recent observations there are investigations and then there are investigations.

Many of the LEO murderers are captured almost immediately. So I would say the local LEO’s know how to conduct an investigation. Investigations into Russia, Las Vegas, bombs threatening top politicians and top officials not so much.

It is easy and dishonest to use fake bombs to create attention during an election cycle. But every time something like that is done we become desensitized to the importance of the situation. So I did use the word game but I used it the sense of fake bomb. Not something playful. I used it in the old 60’s or 70’s term not honest.

After posting my comments about the bombs last night I watched President Trump’s rally in Mosinee. He started it by talking about everybody needing to calm down and take a step back. I agree with him. I also believe we need to have an actual investigation and not a faux investigation that 24 hour news can talk about.

As my sign in name suggests I would way rather have a world where you can talk about your sweet grandbabies and I can talk about mine. I would rather have a world of quite Sunday mornings and Sunday afternoon family dinners. We are not going to regain that world until people like the person/people who mailed these bombs are locked up for a very long time. We as a people need to make sure there is no reward in that behavior.

I totally agree that a real investigation needs to be done, and I believe that is happening. If the person(s) who mailed these bombs or “bombs” are discovered, I imagine they will be punished. I agree that they should be.

In the meantime, I see no harm being done by discussing current events, including our opinions. The facts will eventually be known – at least I hope they will.

            Hi Stella,

“I see no harm being done by discussing current events, including our opinions.”

I 100% agree. It is good for the people to be aware and discuss issues that are common to us all. I am one of those ‘the truth will set you free” kind of girls.

Having said that “investigations” that go against normal protocols makes it feel like not a real investigation. Instead it feels like a fake news story to power the 24 hour news cycle.

Reporting details about the fake bombs and mail packages being released to the public will not help them catch the perpetrator. Running news stories with grainy photographs of the bombs being dropped into the US mailbox at the corner of 6th and Main may lead to an identification of the person/s responsible. Offering really big rewards for reports leading to the capture and prosecution of the person responsible etc. may help.

I mean get real. These are former Presidents of the US and the CIA who got these bombs threats. Do you think the US doesn’t have the electronic tools to know who sent the threats? I think it is unrealistic to think it takes this many hours/days to figure it out. Everything says more and more this is a stunt. And it is a stunt at the cost of desensitizing the American people to threats. I don’t know where it is going but I don’t think it is in the country’s best interest.

I think it makes a lot more sense for President Obama to stand in front of a crowd and say “Vote for Jackie Rosen because we all oppose a great economy, jobs, tax cuts, record low unemployment, and NOT leading from behind….We would rather have Obamacare” (Michael Ramirez)

Then have President Trump stand in front of the people and say we have the best ever economy, highest stock market ever, lowest black unemployment ever etc, I get hostages released for free, and what do you think of the 2 new SCOTUS justices?

These types of comparisons between political parties is helpful. Having fake news reports about bombs in not helpful.

That’s all part of the discussion I am trying to promote. I thought you were against said discussion. Apparently not.

                Hi Stella,

“I thought you were against said discussion.”

Nope, just think that threats to life and limb need to be treated seriously like local LEO’s do. Threats to life and limb should not be treated as partisan games, stunts etc. etc. EVER. The subject is too important. (Someday I’ll tell you about my Daniel Pearl feelings about desensitization.)

That’s a summary of my part of the discussion.

I like talking to people I don’t know because I get a fresh point of view. Every once in a while I get a new perspective from people on Sunday morning but mostly we all have similar beliefs. I like reading the opinions from people on this site because they are new to me. You and your commenters are a fresh perspective and I am learning more about the world around me from you.

If this is the Dems trying to whip up pity/leftist enthusiasm by “targeting” themselves–which I find extremely plausible–I am very apprehensive about what their next attempt will be like. Because their stunts ain’t working, so they will escalate their attacks. They never gave up with Kavanaugh, and they won’t give up now.

Wounded narcissists–like wounded animals–are very, very dangerous.

It could be a nut from the left or the right. With everything going on in this country right now, I also have to wonder if a foreign government might be making a play to exasperate things before the election. The countries that hate us would nothing nothing better than for us to erupt in civil war. Combine that with the masses coming to our border? I know who they will support.
