Morning Lucille 🙂 . Every time I see Tweety bird I’m reminded of a 27 year old man who thought he did a tremendous Tweety bird imitations (along with many other imitations 😃). Sadly he was quite mistaken about many of them, it was ok if I was alone with him I would just whistle and say “Hoo, boy! That is cool” and smile and he would be happy.
But when a certain person and I were together with him we simply could not look at each other for fear of laughing out loud at how bad it was.
Sad ending to the story he is now doing 12 years, 5 in prison and 7 supervision.
Do stupid stuff go to jail.

Couple of rough day, I have been poked, CT scanned, MRI and blood has disappeared from my veins. Speaking of veins, new Doctor for esophagus veins, just before she put me to sleep, the ball with the hole in the center goes into your mouth. Well, as she is tightening the straps, so said; “now for the fun part”. And I was out like a light for about 3 hours…….

WaPo has it’s second Death to Trump expose’ book in two weeks out. Yet another ‘Pulitzer Prize’ winning Bezos lap dog/employee gets highly classified, true, secret information from deeply placed CIA employees that they are in fear of retaliation so they must remain anonymous. Hmmmm, both books are sourced by anonymous leakers…wasn’t that called fiction at one time?
Info seems to be largely coming out of the Russia House at the CIA, a section that was central to the Company during the Cold War but whose star dimmed after the Wall fell and attention turned to the Mideast. They’re also the same part of the CIA that’s heavily suspected of doing much of the pre-election dirt creation designed to sink Trump. Looks like they’re still at it.
So Bezos has two WaPo-written anti-Trump books out in the last weeks, books designed to attack/hurt Trump and effect the midterms. So Bezos and the Company who are after Trump for fixing a US election are themselves trying to fix a US election – who’s going to investigate them and when?

My poor niece told her teacher she was related to Zorro, thankfully she was young enough that the kids in her class didn’t know it was a bullying moment.
As to the goofy dad he probably still believes it is true. He also believed that national parks were “free vacations” because tax payers already paid for it and he also once famously said that something he bought didn’t take away from the family budget because he got the money from the ATM machine.
Guess his party affiliation and you win a free bottle of aged scotch.

I enjoyed her 2 posts about Alaska, mostly about my area here on the Kenai Peninsula. Great photos, and it sounds like she had a fun time working on a vegetable farm in the Mat-Su Valley. I’m surprised she didn’t comment about the HUGE size of the vegetables they grow there (like 800 pound pumpkins). I’d have loved to have posted a comment there, but couldn’t find how to do it.

This is good stuff. It was in the pantry of a home we stayed in our last trip to Florida. I cooked a lot with it, made dips, etc. Every one of us loved it, so I have ordered it and used it ever since.

Well DRAT!! I ordered myself a bottle and then got to the shipping rates page (fully expecting it to be as much as the product, which is common for us) only to discover that THEY DON’T SHIP TO ALASKA!! (gnashing of teeth and sputtering) I just don’t get that as a business decision. The US Postal Service comes to Alaska every single day. Would probably cost 3 bucks to put a bottle in the mail to me. What’s the big deal? Even when I have to go with UPS or FedEx, which costs easily twice as much as USPS, I often do it. There’s just a lot of stuff you can’t get here. Don’t suppose you’d send me a bottle, wouldja?

I took my husband, then boyfriend/fiance (don’t remember which month) to see Stonehill & also Margaret Becker in Tulsa in the early 90’s…he’d never been to a Christian Rock concert back then…& now he’s the rocker.

Okay, I’m on one of my kicks, you guys just have to put up with me. I’m seeing some pictures and promos of Outlander, so I’m guessing another season has started, or will soon. So, this one in honor of Scotland!
I don’t think I would change a thing in this recipe, assuming I can find the rutabaga. I love a good beef stew, and I’ve tried so many recipes, and of course, made my own up. Beef stew was my first supper as a wife.
You should just never serve a good, hearty beef stew without some home made bread, preferably fresh from the oven! The two served together are a heavenly combination.

Since I don’t make home made bread and I do love it, I buy the frozen loaves and let it rise in a buttered loaf pan and bake, It’s really close, but I’m sure not as good as yours.

Make beer bread. 3 cups flour, 1 tbs brown sugar, one beer. Guinness if you want a strong and flavorful bread, which goes great with something rich like that stew, or I like a Belgian ale for a less strong taste.
Mix together, put into a greased loaf pan, pour about a tablespoon of melted butter on top of the batter and bake at 375 until a pick comes out clean and the bread is browned, probably about 30-40 minutes, depending on your oven.
No one can mess that up, and it’s just about as good as any bread I make, if served with the right kind of food. It would not be good with pasta, for example, or most seafood unless it’s something like fish and chips. But great with hearty soups, stews, roasts, etc.

I agree. His interviewing style drives me NUTS. A five-minute show-how-smart-i-am question and 30 seconds for the guest to respond. Or if he is not interrupting, he’s saying “uh-huh” throughout their answer. President Trump and Mark Levin are the only two interviewees I have heard him show enough respect to to just shut up and let them talk.

The b&w in/out cat likes to occasionally sleep in with us but gets a bit strung out having to sneak by barking Daisy and hissing orange cat and frequently just chucks it and sleeps in another room. Problem is that b&w is really a people-lap-cat and really really wants to sleep with us.
We each have a large side table/chest of drawers on our respective bedsides that an open space between the top and the drawers where you could put a clock radio, books, empty beer cans awaiting recycling…or the miscellaneous cat. I just happen to keep my sidearm with a flashlight there, easy reach if needed, so last night when I turned in I reached in to make sure my light and pistol were there and, right on top of the Glock, was the b&w cat. Guess he’d just had enough harassment and decided he wasn’t going to take any more; “I’m a cat and I have a gun!”.

My female Tortie would probably join your felonious feline in rousting out others trying to keep the bed to themselves. She and my feral boy go at it frequently as to who gets to sleep by my face and who gets the legs.

I’m hearing now that 5000 urban cats in kitty hats are going to march on Congress decrying gun violence against cats. Cats should be able to find the Congressional building easily as it’s the largest litter box in DC.

Something tripped in my memory and I was thinking gud was beer. IDK why. so I was going to say, trying to get in one of those word game things you guys do–You’re a budding light– hoping I did it right. lol, then I googled it, not a beer, so just disregard this comment lol at myself, I should have known better.

Newsmax is reporting that there’s a crazed survivalisty out there who’s threatening to kill President Trump. Seems he eluded capture for three months and they can’t find him.
May I humbly suggest the Secret Service stake out the Washington Post building because sooner or later they’re bound to offer him a job and a book deal.

Down to the last two books in the Great American Read challenge at my local library:
1) Pilgrim’s Progress
2) 1984
Problem is, I don’t want to read the books, even though I’ve started reading both of them . I just want this challenge to be done.
And it will be done as soon as I finish the books.
This is a vicious cycle.

I think audio books are allowed, but I have 1984 in paperback and Pilgrim Progress I have on Kindle so that I can ideally read it during my lunch break at work.
I think my problem is just I’m really tired of it, even if I am on the home stretch now.
