St. Bernards seem like great dogs to have. Very loving and loyal.

Slobbery. R-e-a-l slobbery. If you don’t mind that, they’re great dogs. Also yuge eaters and poopers. I never saw a short-haired St. Bernard before. Maybe this one just has a summer shave job.

And house training is a bitch. When they pee on the floor, you need a mop bucket to clean it up.

That is what my neighbor said years ago. She wanted to tie her dog up outside and he barked all night………..under my window. I told her if she didn’t want him peeing in her kitchen, tie him up under her own window.

I love dogs, but we’re allergic to any fur babies. Makes me sad.

So sorry for you S&S. Dogs are one of God’s greatest gifts to us, right up there with fire and bacon.

Thanks S&S…you have been special to me for support
Doing OK….seven chemo infusion sessions….labs really good….mostly no adverse reactions to chemo…getting an appetite back….will have a CT scan Oct 8 to get a peek at the clump of bad boy cells to see what is what.
Prayers help for sure. I intend to whip this mess, or die trying (that is the humor I use that makes everyone crazy….but heck…As long as I see someone looking back at me when I look into a mirror…I figure it will be an UP DAY)
Bless everyone at Stellas.

Sweet. But puppies that young don’t come close to needing collars yet, and it’s actually risky to put one on an infant.

We had a cat who took a ride in a drier full of wet clothes, snuck in while we were filling it. It was in there for a few minutes, the ‘thump, thump’ told us something was wrong and when we opened it – there was the unconscious cat. A quick trip to the vet, a suitcase full of cash and a couple of weeks later it was back.
It was never 100% the pre-washer cat but 90% was there. Most of its issues were about balance but as it was a totally inside cat there were no issues. It remembered us, where the food/litter boxes were, the other cats and the dog continued to accept it and it lived happily to a ripe old age.

Outside of those balance problems relating to balance, and they weren’t that serious, he was OK. He lived with us for about 12 years and he was an adult when he found us and made it from NOLA to up here where he’s buried under an oak tree on our drive that is just for him. We have separate oak trees for all of our casts and dogs. Exception is Lucky who was buried in his favorite maple grove.

My mother once had a cat like that. It was a drop-off in the country acquisition. He took a trip in the dryer once. She gave him to a little girl as a pet, and he was eventually shot by somebody. I don’t know why.
