That is good, but its pricey. In fact unless you get the questionable origin ones they are overpriced here where they grow olives! So many to choose from. I like the first cold pressed virgin olive oils. A good balsamic and olive oil for fresh bread, yummy!

Equal amounts extra virgin olive oil, unsalted butter, lotsa garlic, dried portabella mushrooms and real Italian anchovies. Simmer together and put on bread, pasta, roasted vegetables, old sneakers – it’s all good.

I dont intentionally eat anchovies, but i understand the flavor. Its like bacon. Good for everything!

The real Italian anchovies don’t taste like those over-salted pallid pretenders in the Wally World. Just like real Italian sardines don’t taste like those 10W30 fish things in the next WW isle over. And you’re just using enough to add a slight undertaste. The garlic and dried mushrooms more than cover and compliment the anchovies – how much/little you put in is up to you.

The thing that stands out for me in her statement is when she says “I was afraid he might inadvertently kill me.” Somehow picturing a victim of rape having that go through her mind doesn’t compute. Did she think him an inept rapist who might, in his ineptness, accidentally kill her? As if a non-existent knife could slip? Seriously? If I was being raped I sure wouldn’t be evaluating how good/experienced my rapist was at his job.
Gee. It’s almost like they decided they needed to get the fear of death in there without going the extra step of saying she was outright afraid he would kill her. Just as if they were trying to close right in on the worst thing they can say without going over the top.
This is all some real transparent bullpoop.

I think the ‘…might have inadvertently killed me’ is interesting in itself. If we look at her complaint we have assault, battery and attempted rape – why the minimizing adverb ‘inadvertently’ applied to ‘kill me’?

The Lanterman-Petris-Short Act in California governs mental health and was one of the reasons my father intensely disliked Ronald Reagan. Reagan was, of course, governor of California and he signed this abomination into law. Conservatives love to remember only the good things about Reagan, but “Lanterman” was a horrible thing and the reason why, outside the leftism disease infecting much of the population today, California is an open-air asylum. Ironically, there are institutions in CA named after Lanterman.

Just having had a flashback when seeing this adorable otter, I remember reading “Sammy, the Sea Otter” in what was then called primary school (k-3rd grade). We had to read a certain number of books of choice during the school year and “Sammy” was one that I loved the most.
Tried to find a copy on the Internet–collectible books sales, etc. No luck!
