Trump administration closing PLO mission in Washington

FOX NEWS (Video at link)

The Trump administration announced Monday that it is closing the Palestine Liberation Organization’s mission in Washington, citing Palestinian leaders’ resistance to peace talks and attempts to get an international court to prosecute Israel for alleged war crimes.

The announcement marks the latest blow by the United States against the Palestinians amid a stalled Mideast peace process.

“The United States will always stand with our friend and ally, Israel,” National Security Adviser John Bolton said during a speech to the Federalist Society. “The Trump administration will not keep the office open when the Palestinians refuse to take steps to start direct and meaningful negotiations with Israel.”

He added: “The United States supports a direct and robust peace process, and we will not allow the ICC (International Criminal Court), or any other organization, to constrain Israel’s right to self-defense.”

FTA – “closing the mission adheres to a provision in U.S. law saying the PLO mission must close if the Palestinians try to get the ICC to prosecute Israelis for crimes against Palestinians.”

The law to move our embassy to Jerusalem was also ignored.
We are so used to U.S. Presidents ignoring our laws, and Congress doing absolutely nothing when U.S. Presidents ignore U.S. laws, we are shocked when we finally have a President that does enforce our laws. Lord willing, we will become used to that as well.

Thank you for this good news, Stella. Somehow, finally enforcing our laws is more reassuring than even a great economy.

Geez, imagine that…closing the delegation formed of self-proclaimed terrorists and murderers, a delegation tied to murderous and terroristic attacks, a delegation that does not represent a state or even the UN-created Palestinian State (it represents the PLO).
It receives millions of US dollars a year, money it uses to support the families of Palestinian murderers/suicides who die in attacks on Israeli military and civilians. It also uses it buy buy weapons to illegally murder Israelis and build illegal weapons storehouses and tunnels to attack Israel.
In 1987 Congress passed a law (Reagan in office) forbidding the PLO from establishing a delegation or having a formal office in the US. That changed in the Bush I reign when he allowed it to be established and Clinton Bush II and Obama all agreed to let it continue. The delegation did not have diplomatic immunity as it did not represent a sovereign state…but in 23010 Obama, with Congress’s approval, granted the PLO delegation full diplomatic immunity. Howzat?
I think they should not only close it but forbid the PLO from having any presence in the US, period, as a terrorist organization. If the UN wants to keep the PLO as its only non-state member than let the %^%$#@ UN set up a cot and coffee room for them in the UN building.
Let’s see how the RAt Jewish members of Congress take this – will they offer their support of Israel’s oldest formal terrorist threat, a group formerly funded, trained and supplied by the Russian to kill Jews? Come on Chuck, Nancy and Diane, pony up an opinion you gutless *&^%$#@’s.

The good news keeps on coming.

US Cuts Millions in Funding to Palestinian Refugees

The White House this week announced it would halt millions of dollars in funding for a UN agency that helps educate, feed, and provide healthcare for Palestinian refugees throughout the Arab world.

The move, which eliminates $300 million in annual funds to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), follows an earlier decision to cut $200 million in bilateral aid for Gaza and the West Bank.

The funding cuts are part of a wider US strategy to force talks with Palestinian leaders, who are refusing to engage in negotiations following the Trump Administration’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

US lawmakers and Israeli officials are also concerned about the UNRWA’s participation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Again, these are funds the PLO/Authority uses to fund attacks on Israel. Progs and Rats have prevented conservatives and supporters of Israel (that doesn’t count the usual Jewish Congressional anti-Israel crowd) from defunding the Palestinian Murder Incorporated. It’s long overdue, the blood of many Israelis murdered by the Palestinians are on the hands of Congressrats who refused to stop the funding – as if they care.
