Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley announced the hearing, saying there’s ample information out there for Senators to evaluate the judge without waiting for millions of pages of documents from the National Archives (which was just an attempt to stall the hearing, imo).
Based on prior hearings, he will sit for a couple of days of questioning by the Senate, then a couple more of the Senators, both pro and con, bloviating about the appointment (or any other pet project, if recent history is any indication). After clearing committee, the appointment will go to a vote of the full Senate. His confirmation is likely.

I am unsure if an uncorrupted man would be popular with anybody in the Senate. But I sincerely hope he makes it.

With Kavanaugh the Dems lose all hope.
A desperate animal is cornered. I imagine that Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing will make the Justice Gorsuch hearings look like a picnic.

Millions of pages of…what? Rats know that in most cases a Justice’s previous decisions don’t guarantee his/her ones when on the bench. Smells like a desperate act to delay the votes by throwing mountains of dead trees in the Senate’s path.
HEY! I got an idea! Let’s try and get Ginsberg to carry as many boxes of paper from the Library to the Congressional offices as she can!
