Vice President Mike Pence is in Hawaii to receive the remains of up to 55 U.S. soldiers killed in the Korean War.
VP Pence arrived on Oahu Tuesday night, and will receive the remains during an Honorable Carry Ceremony at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Wednesday afternoon. He will be joined by Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Admiral Phil Davidson and several Korean War veterans.
North Korea returned the remains to the United States following a historic agreement in July between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The remains will be taken to the POW/MIA Accounting Agency on base to be identified. However, experts say it’s a process that could take months or even years to complete.
Live video coverage of the ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7:15 pm EDT

Though only seeing the ending portion of the ceremony where the remains were delivered into the hangar, it was still immensely touching. Welcome home, patriots, welcome home!
