    Today’s painting is ‘The Summer Sea’ by one of my favorite artists, Margaret Tarrant:

    In certain circles apparently the sky fell right over Helsinki and headless chickens are everywhere! Fully out of their minds crazy. Im kind of glad I was busy with other things but Im a bit behind on all the meat of what happened vs the spin. I had a very low key birthday and it was fine. Kiddo had a big day. He wasnt ready for a party yet but it was a birthday trip I hope he remembers. Turning 5 is big deal!

      Don’t get too worked up over this. I maintained my TS clearance for 5 years after I retired – mine was renewed just a few months before I retired. HAVING a clearance just means that if whomever owns that classified information is willing to give you access to it Just having a TS clearance means nothing, it NEVER automatically allows you access to any classified information.
      I’ve put flag officers on hold until I could verify their clearances, they got a comfy seat in the admin area and a cup of the good coffee. It’s mandatory that a flag officer have a secret clearance at least and just about all flag officers have a top secret clearance. Even given that if Brennan as DCI walked into my SCIF I’d have him wait until the officer who owns my SCIF authorizes his access and the CIA’s SSO sends me a message confirming his clearance and need to use the SCIF. Even then all he’s authorized is access to the equipment, once he gets online the individual owners of whatever site he’s going to have to give him access to the classified information on that site.
      I can have a set of keys to an S-class Mercedes but it doesn’t mean the dealer’s gonna just gimme the car.

      Opps…forgot…security clearances either expire or are taken away, just like a drivers licence, they don’t go away just because vyou move or retire.

    A woman bragged to me that she would happily take her daughter to get an abortion. A couple years ago, this same woman unfriended me for posting a pic of a dead gopher. 🤔

      A few years ago a friend of mine had a stray dog show up and she took it to the vet to get it spayed. When they got in there they discovered she was about 2 weeks pregnant. She felt bad that she had killed the puppies. She posted about it on FB and this one friend of hers was having a fit about how the vet was a murderer and should have checked first, etc. Her page was full of Pro-Choice, Planned Parenthood, It’s my body bs.

      I once had a neighbor who told me one of her friends from church came to her seeking reassurance after procuring an abortion for her 16 year old daughter. The reason was that they had just spent over three hundred dollars on a cheer leading outfit for her that she would have not been able to use. So she killed her grandchild. And wanted to be told it was okay.

    Hm. I have an idea. The dems are always fighting sensible voting laws. How about if, when they complain, we just shrug our shoulders and say, “We have to do this to fight Russian interference.” Think that would work?

    A bit of better-than-mediocre news for your p.m.

    HS Sec Kirsten (sp?) Neilsen was interrogated at Aspen yesterday by NBC’s Chip Reid for an entire hour.
    Reed spent the entire time, including audience questions, trying to make Sec Neilsen condemn or criticize anything, anything at all, just one teeny tiny thing, Pres Trump said or did, at any time, any place, on any subject under the sun.

    We heard the determined (read stubborn), resistance of a Scandinavian. Not once, not one time, did Sec Neilsen capitualate and give the Swamp Dwellers what they need for their addiction. No other cabinet member afaik, so far, has resisted the temptation in Aspen to do that. Only Sec. Neilsen.

    What a lady. And smart? Boy, is this lady sharp. She has detailed, concise, and to-the-point answers on every subject broached. This lady really knows her stuff.
    Should Pres Trump ever consider firing this lady, it may be his first mistake. imo

    Oh, almost forgot – Christopher Wray did condemn the news media during his interrogation at Aspen. That is something, anyway.
    A mind-game for you. Wray said at Aspen he, Wray, intended to visit every FBI office this year, and has been to 60-some FBI offices so far.
    Peter Strzock, formerly FBI Counterterrorism, now of FBI HR, said in his House testimony he, Strzock, has been to 56 FBI offices so far.
    Coincidence?
    Who has not been invited to Aspen?

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
