Jeanine Pirro, Brandon Straka – the #WalkAway movement

The #WalkAway movement appears to have momentum; their Facebook group has more than 100,000 members now, and more and more people are coming out to tell their stories about why they are walking away from the Democrat Party. This doesn’t mean that they have crossed over to the Republican Party, but it does mean that they see the hateful and phony nature of the the Democrats.

It is a movement that is young, still small, but growing fast. I want to understand more about it, and will continue to watch it with interest.

Yep. Some of their stories are amazing, too.

  2. I’ve read some very touching stories on Facebook. The main thing that bothers me about the left lately, is how intolerant and judgmental they all are! We can disagree without threats and intimidation.

This young man could be as critical to opening people’s eyes as Kane West. I hope we are seeing the beginnings of a movement that will wake people up, and won’t fizzle and die. We need this.

However, as important as it is to our country, and for civility and human decency, we need to remember that very few of these people who choose to leave the Democrat party will cease to be liberal. Many, perhaps most, will not vote for conservatives. Nevertheless, if they separate from the Democrats it will be a net win.

My default thought is that the leaders of the party will make nice and get these idiots who are being the most militant to back down, the leaders will talk a good game, and those who walked away will quietly go back to voting their favorite social causes. But, I don’t know. Once you truly open your eyes like this young man has, you can’t unsee truth.

I don’t think he will ever stop thinking for himself, looking for the truth. He will probably never agree with me socially and politically, but he won’t be led either. Above all, I respect his rejection of what is happening on the left.

George Washington pleaded/warned about political parties in general in his Farewell Address. Political parties are inherent trouble, representing as they do the defined interests of certain group people.

We have become so accustomed to political parties as “the way” to choose our candidates for public office that I now suspect there is a general assumption that political parties are necessary to the machinery of a Republic. They are not.

    Here’s the farewell address:

The Farewell Address is read aloud in the Senate every year. Too bad nobody’s listening.

The emphasis in both left and right political communication today (including in most online threads) is on reaction and seldom on thoughtful response – all feeling and offense, rather than reasoning.

I’m aware of that as a problem because I see it in myself.

In earlier life, I was an expert in the use of sarcasm in all its forms – until I thought about it for awhile. And the hyper-emotional responses that we often see are just as useless in terms of defending/promoting/developing ideas.

I appreciate Stella’s capacity and willingness to dig under surface ideas and events, developing lines of thought in her writing aimed at persuading and informing.

The #walkaway founder was denied service at a camera shop. The person behind the counter asked him “Aren’t you part of the new Alt-right movement? ” Brandon Straka answered “What?”

The clerk then said “Aren’t you part of the #Walkaway movement”?

    Straka said “Yes.”

Clerk “I can’t sell anything to you.”

hmmm hmmmm hmmmm Lookie lookie here!

#WalkAway founder abused by hate-filled left-wing bigots at a public camera store

Gotta love the emerging #walkaway crowd. Straka said he was frightened when it happened and started shaking out of fear, he will learn to become angry rather than fearful, what a brave man to be as far along the path of escaping his master as he is. Channel that anger Straka and step on their throats.

Heard the first rumblings of this late fall 2015, confirmed by Mar 2016.
The union guys, small biz owners, so many more, being harassed and attacked for being Trump ppl while remaining Democrats. So many expressed a desire to leave the Party.

One Greek guy told me Mar 2016 at Trump Campaign HQ that he was voting Bernie as a protest vote; Sept 2016, came back in and told me he had actually switched to GOP. Brave guy. Thankfully, for him, a really really big guy as well. Some of the stories these guys told me would curl your hair. They knew they were safe telling me, and will remain so.

There were so many that were being attacked, one wondered how much longer these guys could last as Dems.
The downside is, these Dems, especially the union guys, brought their illegal ways to the Trump Campaign. We did the best we could to utilize their info while remaining within the law. Hopefully guys like Mr Straka will influence these guys to a better way.

At any rate, the demise of the Hate-Left cannot come too soon. Hashtag Walkaway seems to be a good idea. For the present, anyway. It is the walking to socialism that is worrisome.
No matter. The youngers wake up fast when Evil GMa demands half their paycheck as their fair share. Works every time.

  11. John Denney says:

Walkaways may not join the Republican party, but we can be united on fundamental principles:
All men created equal, endowed by Creator with certain unalienable Rights, uniting to defend those Rights, prospering individually through Can-Do attitude, diligence, continuous learning, and trustworthiness, rooted in love for our neighbors as the Lord commanded.

No one has disagreed with me on these principles.
