Dry & hot here today, plan to wash the bedding & hang it on the line. After we moved to the country, Czar put up a clothesline so I could have fresh smelling sheets. It came from Australia. Never had a clothesline NO b/c the back yard was too shady.

Hanging laundry on the line is one of my favorite things to do when at my parents’ Cottage Up North! It’s the simple pleasures…

LOL I’m a big fan of electric dryers. I grew up in FL and we hung the clothes on the line. They sometimes took forever to dry. And, Heaven forbid, if you made a mistake and left them out overnight, they might be soured or mildewed by morning. And, of course, there were always the surprise rainstorms in the summer. 😦

Ouch…though we prefer gas dryers around here & I think they are a bit more cost-effective too…Our mildew probs are more from various family members forgetting their clean wet laundry in the washing machine & attempting to dry it too late…

In the 1970’s, I had a 1940’s-era wringer washer that you attached to the kitchen sink for filling and emptying, and a mangle for wringing. It wrecked lots of clothes. Broken buttons, stretched clothing …

I think when I was about 12, I visited kin in TN, and was staying with one aunt. She washed clothes and then we took them out and hung them on the line. I was chattering away at how fast the clothes dried down in FL, like maybe 3 or 4 hours, yadda yadda. I was wondering why we didn’t go back to the house. She never said a word or even laughed at me. After 10 or 15 min. she started collecting the clothes back off the line. They were dry. LOL

We start here with a relaxing & calm Sunday sailboat picture…
Then we see the beautiful horses running on the beach…
…and end with a favorite painting from last year that I just had to post again once I found the above horse picture. This is Crane’s painting of Neptune’s Horses 1892:
I wonder if Crane went to Camargue, and was inspired by the horses there.
See you all tomorrow. Have a great day everyone! Beautiful pics of beach, flowers, and lemon scones! 😉

Looks like ole Steph has stepped in it. Comeuppance, anyone? Someone posted at CTH that Steph is Meryl Streep’s cousin. My, my.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t just one person’s decision. Her manager and wait staff also colluded to insult Sarah and all us Deplorables. Too bad we don’t know their names, since they are so proud of what they did they deserve recognition.

Can ICE Deport Me Without Giving Me a Hearing With an Immigration Judge?
https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/when-can-noncitizens-be-removed-without-seeing-immigration-judge.html
Although legal discussions regarding the removal (or deportation) of noncitizens from the U.S. tend to revolve around immigration court proceedings, the majority of noncitizen removals actually takes place outside this system. Such removals are issued directly by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through summary (or expedited) proceedings and are usually not reviewable by an immigration judge. They may, however, under extremely rare circumstances, be challenged in federal court.
There are three common types of removal issued directly by DHS (usually to noncitizens who will remain detained throughout the process):
reinstatements of previous removal orders
expedited removals for certain newly arrived noncitizens, and
administrative removals for certain noncitizen felons.
Other types of removal exist that do not require that the person be offered an appearance before an immigration judge (including so-called “stipulated removals” as well as removals of certain Visa Waiver program participants). However, those are, by comparison, either rare or difficult to track, and will not be discussed in this article…

FTA: For example, if you are caught flying to the U.S. on a fraudulent visa, or if you are caught trying to cross the border illegally from Canada or Mexico, then DHS officers of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency can immediately remove you by issuing a Form I-860, Notice and Order of Expedited Removal.

Time to get busses lined up to immediately take the people back across the border. Hand each one the forms to apply for legal immigration through the appropriate channels (to show the bleeding hearts we don’t discriminate).

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

Posted it next door but got caught up and forgot to post it here. POTUS Trump has created a new branch of the US military, the sixth, something that hasn’t been done in over 200 years: the US Space Force. Whether the name will stick is a question but the branch will.
The branch’s job will be Space Operations (warfare) and instead of each branch pulling on the space rope from different direction the Space Frce will THE word on space operations. As an ex member of Space Copmmand I say it’s about time.
In the beginning the Army, Navy and Air Force were each developing and testing rockets, we had three services independently developing long range systems and NASA trying to tape their efforts together for a spoace program. Y’all remember monkeys and satellites being launched into space on Army rockets? Congress pulled the rug out from under them, specifically giving each a limited missile R&D capacity and putting the big rockets into the AF’s hands with some leakover to NASA. We’re doing the same thing here, putting space operations into a sole office and putting experts from each service into a branch that will be able to focus on the (I hate this term) Big Picture overall.
Trump’s made a mess less messier, we no longer will have five branches trying to push their own space agendas through the eye of a needle, duct taping doctrine into a one-size-fits-nobody result. Now the services will be limited in what they do vis-a-vis space operations and Space Force will be the big dog on the block. At least that’s what’s supposed to happen, the military has a lot of prissy prix up top who all want to be the star so let’s see how they try to mold this new branch. It’s still a great idea though.
BTW, only one person next door didn’t know that we actually have 5 seperate branches of the military.
