President Trump Participates in a Media Availability

Just a few hours ago …

My opinion? I think that President Trump is the first foreign leader to treat Kim Jong Un (or his predecessors) as a human being who is capable of meeting as an equal with the other countries of the world. That is the key here.  Our President swept away the past, and started with a clean slate.

Dennis Rodman on CNN with Cuomo:

Another comment I saw on FB. I do not know the person who wrote it, it was shared.

      Rodman? Reality? Recognition?

When they say, “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” Dennis Rodman is exactly who they were talking about. Rodman’s life has been full of intense hardship, driving him to what many of us consider bizarre behavior.

Would it not be fascinating if he played a key role in disassembling one of the most threatening scenarios to both the United States and the free Asian countries, a matter that former presidents have spent billions of dollars and countless hours of government staff time on to no avail?

There is something refreshing about looking at the person who is constantly discounted as a human being, given almost no value, and then discover that the individual has perhaps done the world around them a magnificent favor.

Take no one for granted. The moment you begin assigning value to individual persons is the moment that you have condemned yourself to intellectual slavery.

I can only say I don’t know what to think about this. I have never had a positive opinion of Rodman, and I’m not declaring him a hero. But I will say that all of us should have a voice, and be listened to, and sometimes those we least agree with may have something of value to add to the conversation.

I felt the same way about Kanye West. I don’t listen to his “music”, so I had no idea what kind of person he is. I listened to Candace Owens in an interview the other day, and that is what she said – that most of us don’t know or understand Kanye.

Stells, your comment is very insightful. I think that is a big part of what happened. Also, aside from the fact that the politicos simply wanted to maintain their status quo, not do anything for us and the world. President Trump thinks outside the box.

In a world where people mostly think the same thoughts, he has original ones. In a world where we accept that the limitations today are valid because they were yesterday, he, as you said, starts with a clean slate. I think that is possible for him primarily because most of us are afraid of failure and he is not. I think he is repulsed by not trying. Not trying for great things.

Quote from Greta’s VOA interview. Same thought:

Trump: “Look, he’s doing what he’s seen done, if you look at it. But, I really have to go by today and by yesterday and by a couple of weeks ago because that’s really when this whole thing started.”

This is a comment from a friend of mine, a young man who is a Veteran, and very active politically. I don’t agree with him sometimes, but I do like this comment.

What a time to be alive. This whole thing is special and you get to see it unfold in real time. It’s just unbelievable.

Imagine, an entire country of subjugated people, cut off from the entire world, here there is a real chance for them. I mean, there was the collapse of the USSR, but I can’t remember if their lives were as confined and oppressed.

Hope it goes well for all parties involved and the case for peace, without force is made.

The Braves are in contention, potential peace on the Korean Peninsula and the Warriors won ending the NBA season. Summer 2018 is looking 🔥.

Goes along with that video I posted earlier that the White House (supposedly) made. It shows what North Korea can be. That peace will bring prosperity to the North Korean people.
