    The dog in today’s picture died seven years ago. Darby was a really wonderful and exceptional dog, and we all still miss her very much. My contribution today is an excerpt from Diana Gabaldon’s book that is still in the writing stage, called “Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone.” It is exactly the way I feel:

    “I was wondering if it’s proper to pray for the soul of a dog,” I explained. “Rollo, you know…”

    “If ever I met a dog with a better chance at heaven, I canna recall it.” Jamie shook his head. “He was a good dog.”

    “Yes, he was,” Roger agreed. “But I was just telling Claire the views of a priest I knew. He said that dogs are pure love and thus when they die, they’re instantly in the presence of God. So theoretically, they wouldn’t need praying for.”

    Dogs help toddler break out of her room by opening her door. Then she leaves and gives them treats. LOL Go to youtube.com and watch this and read the story about it.
