I saw a lady walking two beautiful dogs (unfortunately I didn’t take a picture) any how as I was getting closer I thought they were some combination of Greyhound, Afghan and Weimaraner.

One had the the classic Weimaraner face but a slender body and legs, one had a narrow Weimaraner face but long hair it was really neat looking.

The lady told me that they were sisters so I asked what type of dogs they were. She said Weimaraner. I asked if they were mixed with anything and she told me that their mom was a wire-haired Weimaraner.

Neat I had never heard of a wire-haired Weimaraner. So I looked up wire haired Weimaraner and long haired Weimaraner and still couldn’t find it but I found these beauties.

And in the doggie transportation theme….

As an aside my brother had an Indian Motorcycle like that in the 80’s – a true “barn find” he bought for about $1,000. He washed it, fixed to the point of running, but did not restore it at all. He drove it for the summer & then sold it for about $20,000.

Here is Daisy, our oldest dog a theme about 11 years. She was svelt & prissy when she came to us on Easter, 2008, but has put on some heft & slowed a bit since then. Also become rather grey in the muzzle. But who hasn’t?

  10. She looks a lot like the Border Collie we had in Scotland. Her name was Suzy. Such a character!
