Statement from the White House:
This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful and there were no complications. Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the duration of the week. The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.

I wonder if this is why PTrump didn’t go to Israel. I thought he had said he would. They also said she would be in the hospital until about Fri.
Prayers for her complete recovery.

Prayers for Melania, absolutely! This on top of all the hatred sent her way…poor darling. Can it be something so insignificant as is being indicated–“a benign kidney condition” that requires a week in the hospital?

“The likely things that would cause someone her age to have the need to have something embolized is likely a benign condition called an angiomyolipoma — that’s a benign tumor, it’s not a cancer, of the kidney,” said Mark Schoenberg, a urologist at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. “You wouldn’t do this procedure to someone who has cancer.”
Schoenberg added that the lengthy hospital stay seemed normal. “Probably what they’re trying to do is make sure — anytime you monkey around with kidney, bleeding [can] become significant quickly,” he said. “They’re being appropriately cautious.”

Reading Daily Mail article about this procedure, it includes this sentence:
…former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s treatment for pancreatic cancer at Johns Hopkins University on Monday.
