Kansas.
What a great story with them. They converted to Christ after Carry on Wayward Sun, and The Wall. The lyrics are so true in Dust in the Wind, if there’s no Christ. The author knew that when he wrote it. This is new by them. They split up in the late 80s, when I was in my late teens, and decided to become a Christian band called A.D.
Kansas is back.

I love a capella choirs. Not easy. Though remaining on pitch wasn’t difficult for me, I always liked the comfortable backup of accompaniment. LOL!
Just a side inquiry: wonder why the lead singer isn’t wearing a tie like the others.

I have a good ear for pitch, which is sometimes a hindrance. I don’t know about the tie. I didn’t even notice.

When I was in a child choir, my director said that I had perfect pitch. I don’t know if that’s true, but she was a music major, and studied opera. She was also our organist, and very talented.

Someone (hint: an audiologist I’m married to) once told me I must have had pitch poured into my ears. As bad as my tone discrimination is I coulda been a Moslem.

Pine….because of my owning some, I don’t have to spend to buy it. On that note, heat’s picking up so soon we’ll have that hot pine scent for real.

Here is more about the soloist. The others singing are with the BYU Chorus. Soloist is James Stevens:
…former Vocal Point director James Stevens (who is also the soloist in Vocal Point’s most popular video “Nearer, My God, to Thee”). Stevens put together the Greek musical introduction to the song, in reference to the origin of the movie in which the song appears.

ack in tnhe late 60s/early 70s my anthropoly department got to go on the early digs at the Nancy Paterson site with BYU. Only BYU could make a desert dig even drier for the participants…but that’s BYU.
