We’re pretty much into our 5 month summer now, 90-feet of peppers and toms in, one more 45-foot row of mixed peppers, toms and egg plants to go. Okra’s next, followed by squash though we’re gonna cut back to our needs and some to give away. Can’t wait for the cucumbers, fresh cukes with fresh tomatoes with a touch of fresh basilis a treat.

Good morning, Nyet! It’s debatable I’ll be able to eat much of anything that requires the jaw to move. I swear the dentist killed my nerves–literally. So anything that can be consumed with a straw would be preferable…even a thin, not terribly cold milkshake might do. It’ll remind me of the good old days…

      • czarowniczy says:

Yeah, I awakened to a surprise case of tmj a few weeks back so I can sympathize with the jaw stuff. And yes, dentists can wreck nerves as the nerves in a face go they general areas but there’s no guarantee they’ll be excactly in the place they should be. I have a branch of the trigeminal nerve on one side that’s not in the usual position and a new dentist usually needs about a quart of novacain (or whatever) to get my jaw numb. I have a super dentist now, knows my jaw like a roadmap, so there’s far less of a possibility of him tearing it up as he digs around and pumps pints of pain potion into position.
As for the milkshakes, we had a real live 1930s ice cream bar in an old drugstore in town, made shakes, spritzers, banana splits, cones, you name it. A big store that was half pharmacy and half Grand Bazaar of Istanbul rode in and pushed it over the ecge into extinction. There’s one more modern soda fountain around, doesn’t have the generations of feeling the old one did but it meets the need for processed carbs and empty calories with cherries and sprinkles on top.

And the pain travels, czar…runs through my right ear and right eye…half the time feels like gremlins playing the cords with something sharp. Yeeeaachhhh!

In Vancouver, WA we had a real nice 1950s bebop cafe…50s music, of course, and Elvis, The Big Bopper-type decoration, delicious from-scratch burgers and other home-cooked fare. They lost their lease and couldn’t find another reasonable lease. So out of business they went.

Sounds like trigeminal involvement. It’s always bothered me when that dentist starts to poke and drill and slash, your case is one of my nightmares. Let’s pray it goes away on its own.

I got one of those shots a couple of times. The first one numbed my jaw, teeth, through my cheek, and right into my right eye. It was totally scary. But, the worst part was when the feeling came back, the pain was excruciating. I have been scared for them to do that again since that time. The second time they used a different pain med.

This falls under the category of “for what it’s worth”. and…..believing nothing of what you hear/read, and only half of what you see. Just someone’s perspective:

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/04/indictments_are_comeyer_coming.html

It’s been demonstrated, deep and wide, over the past couple of years (just like during the Nixon mess) that what the public feels, how individuals work themselves into a lather, and what the newspapers say about things does not define reality.

Reality is on its own track, regardless of our perceptions and opinions, feelings and knowledge. In order to retain some personal sanity, I really cannot take on responsibility for shaping world events and outcomes.

So yeah, take it for what it’s worth. I am glad that someone with a good communication base (AT) is laying it out there with lists and names for potential indictments. He gives no odds for any of them actually being indicted.

Lawlessness and its consequences are a terrible thing for nations and individuals.

When you’ve worked around rich and powerful folk you szee they live in a different universe as far as law is concerned. You really REALLY have to screw up in order to get arrested, tried and convicted and your rich/powerful pals have to set you adrift.
I’d give my right arm to see that slimy bilge Rat crew sent to the same Fed prison that a mere mortal would for the same crimes. Alas, they’ve got fellow conspirators buried in the system who’ll save their giblets foir self-protection and self-gain and are afloat in enough money to just about guarantee they’ll never drown in their crimes.
Best we can hope for is Billary and POtuS have had a special spot in hell prepared for them – unless they’ve managed to compromise Satgan too.

The New York Times’ Hatchet Job On Devin Nunes Is Riddled With Errors

    http://thefederalist.com/2018/04/29/new-york-times-hatchet-job-devin-nunes-riddled-errors/

The New York Times article is riddled with factual errors that are denied on the record by multiple sources. It fails to include information that was easily found and in the public record. And all for the goal of derailing rigorous oversight of intelligence agencies.

Nunes’ spokesman Jack Langer seemed unsurprised by The New York Times‘ partisan ax-grinding and lack of fact-checking, something he’s grown accustomed to in an era when many journalists no longer bother even pretending to aim toward objectivity or accuracy: “If people assume every sentence they read in The New York Times is either outright false or hopelessly biased, they’ll still be granting the Times too much credit.”

Mollie Hemingway does an excellent job debunking several claims made by hack NYT “journalist”, Jason Zengerle.

OBL knew the US was out to get him, he even had other Moslem terrorist groups that from time-to-time were out to get him. He had the organization set up so that the cells may have taken inspiration and some financing from him but wouldn’t fall apart were he to be taken out of the picture.
If you think of how creative Hollywood accountants can be in determining the ‘profitability’ of a movie you have a view into how the analysts in the various agencies determine AQ’s ‘strength’. Well now, are the analysts looking at AQ as a whole across its entire operational area, are they looking at selected cells or groups of cells, are they looking at their operational successes and how are they measuring success? See where we’re going here?
If the Administration wants to show AQ is weak, strong or moving in one direction or another the analysts can cherry pick facets and glue them into a mural that fits the needs – and not lie in the process. Most people have nothing more than the press-provided information on AQ or any other group so they don’t see whats goes on in the kitchen.
Until the last Moslem fundamentalist-thru-benign terrorist SOB is nestled in the lap of Allah their ‘strength’ is irrelevant, the only metric that matters is there’s at least one at 98.6 or better and still breating.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

We survived, had a good time. Son-in-law made the A-feature every night, not an easy thing to do when drivers you’re competing against have more in just their motor than you have in car, motor and trailer. It was kind of funny, we show up in an old beat up truck pulling an old beat up enclosed trailer and are surrounded by guys with toterhomes and stacker trailers with crew members working on their cars. They have all the fancy lifts and tools, while we have floor jacks and hand tools. 🙂

We saw several pointing at my son-in-law working on his own car.

Last night didn’t turn out all that great, track was in horrible shape, so dusty you couldn’t see anything. He had passed several cars then someone got into him, they couldn’t see any better than we could, pushed him up and caused his tires to de-bead and car rolled. It was pretty scary because we couldn’t see what happened or who it happened to, just red flag then saw him on his top with ambulance and fire truck and workers surrounding his car and he wasn’t climbing out. He was fine though and outside of sheet metal damage, the car was fine.

We couldn’t have been prouder of how well he did.

I ended up catching a bad cold while there though and now have lost my voice and been in bed all day running fever. It’s finally broke tonight and hopefully my voice will return sometime.

Thursday night my throat starting getting sore and my nose started running. I just thought it was because it was windy and a lot of dust, by Friday afternoon I knew it was not just the wind and dust.
By Saturday night the coughing had started, Sunday I felt and looked like death warmed over, by Sunday night my voice was gone.

A very select few of these guys ever had to work on their own car. Some had Dads who payed their dues and the sons benefited from his hard work, some just had parents with deep pockets whose sons were going to have the best of the best, some married money, some lucked out and got sponsors who foot the bill and others are just in debt up to their eyeballs.
A few years ago folks at the local track kept saying he was cheating and complaining to the track, the tech guy told them he had $30 shocks, something he had never seen on a race car, he didn’t think he could afford to cheat. lol
What they don’t know because stock car guys and sprint car guys don’t like each other is that he came from sprint cars and just knows how to drive. He has tons of talent, but it’s still just a hobby for him.
Trust me they don’t like it when a guy who has so little money invested in a car comes out and not only competes with them, but beats them. Now the series on the other hand loves it, because it attracts more fans and more drivers. Everyone likes the underdog and the throwback guy who builds his car out of used parts. 🙂
