President Macron visits the Oval Office

Yesterday, President Trump invited President and Mrs. Macron to the Oval Office, showing them the Resolute Desk, a gift from Queen Victoria in 1880, which was built from the timbers of the British Arctic Exploration ship Resolute.

    Well, I learned something. I knew that was called the Resolute desk, but I didn’t know where the name came from. Now I do. 🙂
