I used to grow it. My old cat would roll in it, and eat it. My current kitty, Luna, likes it too, although I only have given her the dried kind.

Since you all broached the topic – we have a pile of oregano drying on the kitchen counter. It’s wrapped in a towel and our Russian Blue is curled up asleep on top of it. She’s not too keen on catnip but seems to have found her muse in sausage spice.
BTW, we bough ‘cat grass’ (actually wheat grass) seeds to pleasure the cats – only one who ate it was the dog.

THAT’S an urban/spoiled cat. Ours would just be sitting back waiting for the possum to finish…”Yu, stuffed possum…”.

Well, now I’m wondering if the full grown whatever that I saw crossing a neighboring street this morning was a possum and not a raccoon. My initial assumption was raccoon, since they are a familiar fixture in this agricultural area, semi-rural edge-of-town setting; but the colors were not the obvious, classical raccoon. Possumbilities? Hmmmmmmmmmm…..

We have;
A giant raccoon living in the neighborhood. Huge. Really I think it is a mutant.
A dead possum about 2 blocks away from here.
Lots of very goofy squirrels.
But no skunk so far this year 👍🏽.

I have smelled eau de skunk at night in my neighborhood. Never see them, though (thank heavens).

After our adventure last year with the dead skunk I’ll be happy to not see one this year. I did smell one a few nights back. Gross.

Tell her thank you from me. Not being Catholic, I’m fascinated with the tales of saints of old times. I reckon they have a Saint for just about everything. Seems very comforting. I love the kitties!

From what I’ve seen saints come and go, 1960s were a particular bad time. I can just imsagine being one of the old-line saints and someone tacking an eviction notice to your cloud…I’m not even sure you get unemployment benefits.
