I am very uncertain that any of these politicians and administration folks, including our wonderful president….have a clue about the school systems and issues there in…..the issues in not guns….nor guards….it is cultural, family, social, financial, and lack of investment of the kids and parents in a free school venue.

Yes, Joshua, those things are at the heart of the problem. In the meantime, our children need protection, and what the President says – gun free zones are lethal – is true and practical.
President Trump knows that if we don’t do something to control the outcome of school shootings, then the gun ban people will win. Listen to what Senator Feinstein just said. She wants gun bans.

I think it was President Trump who said that you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun. If you purchase from a FFL dealer, that’s true. I can’t speak for all states, but in my state you can purchase a handgun from a private seller at 18.

Well not at walmart anymore. Have to be 21 for guns or ammo. Where the heck can I shop now?

In my state you can purchase a handgun at 18 from a private seller, NOT a FFL dealer. We can still buy long guns at 18, no registration or licensing required. At least, that’s the law. What a retailer decides to do is another story.

Legal regulations and policies regarding gun possession are not the problem.
It’s not a new saying – at all. Remember hearing it decades ago: Once owning guns is outlawed, only the outlaws will have guns.
President Trump doesn’t care if he is misunderstood. I don’t even try to figure out any more what he’s actually doing or what he means by what he said.
I don’t know why he doesn’t care about the public’s comprehension at this point, but he doesn’t.
Maybe he’s just talking to the stakeholders.

All I know is he has many up in arms tonight breathing banning so called “assault rifles,” and fighting the NRA.
I’ve been busy today and came in tonight with tons of phone calls and messages about what Trump said.
I’ll listen for myself when I get a chance to see if he was misunderstood or misquoted.

I think there is a lot of hyperventilating and yelling going on. My thinking? Wait until we know what kind of legislation will come out of this.
