This was an interesting article. I hope no one here needs to use it first-hand, but it’s worth passing on:
What dying children say gives their life the most meaning

“Take home message: Be kind. Read more books. Spend time with your family. Crack jokes. Go to the beach. Hug your dog. Tell that special person you love them. These are the things these kids wished they could’ve done more. The rest is details. Oh… and eat ice-cream.”
This is what I do with mine. Kids dont get enough of that? How tragic.

“Yet in the final chapter of their lives, most of the children valued kindness ”
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)
For years I volunteered in a hospital pediatric ward and with the Starlight Foundation, and I agree “…the doctor recognized: “The palliative field chose me, not the other way round,” while also saying how it was a privilege to work with these small patients and their families” It was a privilege for me to be with these small patients – no BS with them. Even though most people did not understand me volunteering for this when it made me exhausted, at times sick and in tears, there comes a time when all the veneer of life is washed away, and most parents do their best to help their children with love in their journey to God. In the end there is only Love = Heaven for these little ones.

Well. With re to George Peppard and 6 degrees of separation, I have a true story.
My husband and I moved from Minnesota to California in the fall of 1964 and rented an apartment in North Hollywood – a standard apartment, that just happened to be situated in an enclave of wealthy homes of that area. Bob Hope’s home address was less than a mile away – this older apartment building had somehow escaped development, so there it was, in a lush and lovely neighborhood. Our oldest son was born while we lived there.
About 15 apartments in the building, I suppose. The landlords were very nice, probably in their mid-30’s or so. Once we got acquainted with them we learned that his full time job was chauffeur for George Peppard.
Then in the 1990s, my car served was extra in some kind of car ad which was filmed in the high desert with giant fans blowing dirt all over everybody…. younger son who was at the wheel had his entry into show biz, being the first car on the right at the intersection where the fancy-schmancy new car came flying through at top speed, while they all huddled in place, being very dirty. The cars were actually sprayed with some kind of sticky, dirty, muddy mix before filming, and then the dust being blown around was added to it. I think he got $25 for his trouble that day.
Show biz.

Bob Hope certainly did not live IN North Hollywood. We were about two blocks from the street where the fancy-pants name came into play.

I wrote a short story once entitled “The Girl Who Loved Tyrone Power.” It was about a young teenager who first discovered Power in “The Eddie Duchin Story” when it was shown on a local TV station. As she grew older, so her obsession grew.
A couple of lines…”His spirit permeated her life and Mary Lou drifted off into a world of screen images and unreality. She became his co-stars. She drank with him, ate meals with him, danced with him, uttered responses to his words of love. He was everything to her, and she wanted to follow him everywhere.”
The final sentence…”The last time anyone saw her, she was looking rapturously at that wondrous, luminous face on the big theater screen; and at the final dissolve, she was gone.”

We are not watching it either! Went food shopping last night at most popular food store in area. In prior years they had all Patriots balloons, decorations, signs, employees wore all their Pats jerseys and hats. Yesterday – NO balloons, NO decorations, NO jerseys or hats, and only ONE black and white block printed ‘go pats’ sign! 😉
I had commented a while back how in college in a public speaking class in the mid seventies we had to make a speech on a controversial subject, and mine was against the rise of organized sports replacing religion as the opium of the masses – and I had the most angry push back of the approximately 20 speeches given! So it proved my point! 🙂
This article is EXCELLENT, and I urge everyone to read it, and especially listen to the video.
http://www.dcclothesline.com/2018/02/04/dystopian-warnings-of-how-sports-are-used-to-control-the-masses/#more-80870
Dystopian Warnings of How Sports are Used to Control the Masses – Author and researcher Alan Watt explains the significance of turning the people’s attention onto sport and away from the events and circumstances which directly and deeply affect their lives. Therefore they’d have a tribal team they identified with, they could achieve the model as if they’re winning, and in their own personal lives they’re getting no further, they’re getting disenfranchised, in a sense, as experts took over decision-making for them in all kids of fields.”
The following video features clips of Watt and Cooper talking about the role of football and male sports culture plays in controlling the masses and capturing our natural drive for conquest and competition so that we have no energy available to revolt against the tyranny of authoritarianism.
Have a great day everyone! Off to work now! 🙂

The ‘Constitutional Crisis’ the Fourth Estate Birthed
http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/02/the_constitutional_crisis_the_fourth_estate_birthed.html
How serious was the misuse of the FISA procedure? So serious, to my mind, that Congress must interrogate the judges involved and find out how the Court allowed itself to be so misled. Perhaps the law needs to be revised.
Streetwise Professor compares the actions of the DOJ and FBI officials to Russian Siloviki (security forces who came to power in Russia).
There is a constitutional crisis, he argues — though it’s not, as Leon Panetta and other Democrats claimed, caused by the memo having been made public.
Lots of good stuff here.
LikeLiked by 4 people
I would like to hear from the judges for a variety of reasons. If congress does it, I doubt anything will come of it and I doubt it will be in an open session, which I think it should be. If not congress though, IDK who could? I say that because IDK who is over the judges, other than the supreme court. I just don’t think anyone trusts anyone up there at this point.

I continue to believe that judges have egos too big to have been actively involved in such judicial malpractice. It’s embarrassing.
Judge Conteras already walked away from it. An Obama appointee, probably the smartest one of the group to get out first, I wonder if he got a deal.
The elites got complacent and never imagined a world where Hillary was not president.
And here we are today with their entire world unraveling 🙂 !

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
