A memo that shows alleged government surveillance abuse has been released to the public and includes testimony from a high-ranking government official who says the FBI and DOJ would not have sought surveillance warrants to spy on at least one member of the Trump team without the infamous Trump dossier.
The House Intelligence Committee released the memo on Friday afternoon about alleged abuses involving FISA, or the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, during the 2016 election.
The dossier, authored by former British spy Christopher Steele and commissioned by Fusion GPS, was paid by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign through law firm Perkins Coie in an effort to conduct opposition research.
The memo says the committee’s findings “raise concerns with the legitimacy and legality of certain DOJ and FBI interactions” with the FISA court and “represent a troubling breakdown of legal processes established to protect the American people from abuses related to the FISA process.”

Evidence presented that the information in the Steele dossier being credible was a Yahoo news article that was actually supplied by Christopher Steele himself.

Im sorry so late in the day to ask. If Flynn is vacated, does that mean he can get his job back and or security clearances? Can he work in d.c. for POTUS? What is your view on the status of sessions? A lot next door that he is swamp and or very incompetent. I read a few things throughout the day that were very interesting but I dont understand the amount of time this is going to take since the whole tree has a lot of rotten fruit.

My opinion; Sessions is not dirty, he is working deeply and intimately but legally with the right people. Remember everything President Trump does and says he does with purpose.

I have said from the day Trump revealed Lindsey Grahm’s phone number that Trumps enemies should pay attention to this fact. His presidency is decades in the making, President Trump has more information on all of them than they have on themselves.
So if Sessions was dirty President Trump knew he was dirty and chose him to weed out corruption anyway? This whole rigamarole about how President Trump still rants about Sessions recusing himself from the Russia deal is smoke and mirrors.
Remember Trump knew about Rubio’s money laundering, knew about Cruz’s Goldman Sachs interest free “loan,” knew about Clinton and the Russians, knew it would be Huma and Weiner who kept that door open to Clinton’s emails, knew Ben Carson was lying about the stabbing, knew Comey was the leaker, knew Reince was not on his team and used him as a dull tool, and so on. President Trump knows all of their dirty laundry but it is a decades old game and President Trump doesn’t have a Cat in the Hat Super Clean Upper machine.
This cleanup job has been meticulously planned and is being methodically carried out. There is no other way to do it.

The stress from it all on some of them will cause them to unravel. The potential for intelligence being collected in KSA is interesting since our agencies are compromised. I can see many people being ok with a few years of evidence and revelations as long as the economy and border security and healthcare are improved. Mr. Gil listens to me to a point, but even he thinks unless there are arrests within a few months that its just conspiracy and wishful thinking I read, and nothing will come of it. I read much more that he realizes! I prefer things be done right than sloppy.

So, apparently I am hearing it’s bad enough the FBI was used for political warfare (NOT law ENFORCEMENT) against a candidate for President,but Trump was spied on using this fake dossier to extend the FISA warrant AFTER he was elected President? Does that mean the FBI, DNC, and Hillary – because she paid for it – was trying to depose a lawfully elected President? That can’t be legal. How would that fit into any of the above laws? Are there other laws specifically about this type of activity? I do not know.

Steele is a non- US citizen, and former British SPY – there may be a law against using that info for a FISA warrant. He was a FBI sub-contractor paid for by Hillary campaign, & LIED TO FISA COURT about it – passing it off as real FBI intelligence by FBI agents. 30,000 FBI agents – and they had to get info from him? Our guys can’t get info? FBI, CIA, DOD, NSA – nope this guy!

Watching Fox News at the moment, the Nunes interview and they are played a clip of a democrat who claims the judge was made aware that the dossier was sourced from a biased person who despised Trump and that it was funded by the DNC. This is an impossibility. A judge must always view evidence in a light that is most favorable to the defendant. It is ludicrous to believe that a sitting judge without risking his judgeship would ever sign a warrant under such circumstances.

The Dershowitz article was interesting as his educated opinions always are. Even when I don’t agree with him, he presents his side in a non-histrionic manner.
It’s been eons since I’ve been to THE HILL, though. Just like it was the last time I went over there, overall THE HILL remains the typical publication that confuses good people. The misleading titles to articles, the anonymous sources quoted, the left of center bias all make it a site to use only with a healthy dose of skepticism.

I searched Alan Dershowitz Nunes and this is the article I found. It is an opinion article written by him so the source can only edit it to screw it up but I have a feeling not too many sources would do that with Dershowitz. I don’t read The Hill so I can’t comment on their general articles.
Dershowitz article is very coy. He will never admit it but he is seeing a great light. He already said he never would have voted for Obama had he known he posed for a picture with Louis Farrakhan. Dershowitz is brilliant and I will bet too self -conscious to admit that he has been decided his entire life by the people who he called friend and compatriot. I believe Dershowitz is a classical liberal.
Dershowitz will always carry the title of liberal and most of his beliefs will remain liberal but he will also adhere to the law and I believe he is truly flummoxed by those who he once had faith in as they abandon him over his adherence to the proper yet unpopular in his circle interpretation of the law.

Many months after PTrump was elected Dershowitz said he would still vote for Hillery. I lost a lot of respect for him. He has to be aware of some, if not all, the shenanigans going on around her. I bet now he is rethinking some things.

Dershowitz is a classical liberal. He can not admit that Hillary is a corrupt dirtbag without letting a piece of his soul go. He is defined by his ideology. It is very difficult for people to admit that they have been conned and that they have been wrong their entire life. He’d sooner be convinced that the sun rises in the west. It is not in his plane of vision to see Hillary as she is, I’m pleased that he is speaking the truth about the matter of law when it comes to President Trump. I personally think it is amazing that Dershowitz said that if the Nunes memo is a factual representation of the FISA Warrant prices that it is indeed a legal mess.

People need to learn to think. We have spent decades watching the Clintons, Obamas, Kennedys, et al get away with murder, rape, race baiting, thieving, money laundering, election stealing and so on. Now President Trump comes along and actually states boldly that he is going to clean up the corruption in DC and he acts on it, Comey was fired, McCabe was forced out, Reince was forced out, many are not pursuing re-election, Gorsuch is a Supreme Court Justice, Travel ban is in effect, illegals are being deported, and on and on.
Yet so many people are certain all is lost because President Trump has not swung his lasso and dragged all the crooks off to the OK Corral.
Justice just doesn’t work that way. It is a time consuming, meticulous process. She is a lazy mistress.
President Trump is running as fast as he can given the perimeters of the game.

Remind Mr. Gill that President is first and foremost a builder, he built a real estate empire, he erected buildings and built golf courses, he built a successful presidential campaign and he beat the odds. What were they 98- 2 ?

I just read a brief article on the Grassley memo as I wasn’t even aware that there was a Grassley memo. It is a criminal referral, it will very likely be released. Grassley claims that Steele broke the law and lied to congress and other US entities. Steele is in breach of the law. Code 18 U.S.C 1001 is what Grassley specially cites. Sound spot on to me.

The release of the cover page is really sufficient to understand what is contained in the memorandum. What is more important is that justice chugs along. The people who can do something about what is contained in the memo already have the information. Anxious Americans will just have to wait if it isn’t released, I am a bit “meh” on all the pushing for this stuff to be released and made public other than to benefit President Trump in the midterm elections.
I am feeling rather comfortable that if something can be done, it will be done, and if someone can do it, President Trump will do it. We are off the cliff, President Trump gives us a wing and a prayer after decades of corruption. Are we too far off the cliff, it is possible, but just the fact that President Trump has survived this long gives me great hope.

Personally I have no idea and neither does anyone else who is not privy to the information. I tend to believe since it took the applicants 3 swings to get the warrant that Conteras although an Obama appointee was following the law (more than 99% of FISA warrants are granted because the standard is so high applicants don’t even try unless they are certain of their case). I believe Conteras was lied to by the applicants. He recused himself from the Flynn case because he knows it is going to unravel. I’ve said many times that the last person you should ever piss off is a judge. A judge can take everything from you. If Conteras was snookered he is going to be out for blood.
It could be Conteras was certain Hillary was going to win and none of this would come to light but if that is the case I do not think he would have recused himself, I think he is probably pissed beyond speaking.
Remember Sydney Blumenthal stuck subpoenaed documents down his pants and got away with it, everybody and anybody connected to Hillary or Obama are living a new reality that they haven’t adjusted to as of yet, they are no longer protected in the same way that they once were but they don’t know how to live any other way. So they continue to behave criminally.

My all inclusive answer is no if you are expecting either of those reports to open the eyes of the submissive class of people who hate President Trump and love Hillary Clinton.

I do believe information will come out that will sway the fence sitters and I do believe there are still a significant amount of them, they cannot process so much information, they watch CNN, MSNBC or other productions like those and those productions are still trying to tear President Trump down. But. I believe President Trump generates enough interest that fence sitters are at least curious as to what is going on outside of their normal “news” sources.
My best advice. Stay away from histrionic people who 1) think they know more than President Trump and just wish that he would listen to them 2) are in perpetual crisis mode 3) are screaming that the sky is falling.

Now I read next door about the fisc judges’ involvement with Comey memos, and you are right so far about their being manipulated.
I am not in large social circles where the utter histrionics of people are apparent. I drop tidbits of info when I find people receptive. In CA, I suppose that is better than nothing at all.
