      🙂 I think that is a Spinone, maybe a Pointer? It’s hard to tell with the head at that angle. It’s something a Spinone would do. They are hilarious, and very smart dogs. They also like to stand on their hind legs, counter surf, and empty your refrigerator ice machine onto the floor to play with. I so hope they do not become a popular breed, and get ruined by greedy and/or idiotic breeders.

      One lucky puss! In Scotland, we had a Tuxedo Tom that would go for long walks with DH and our Border Collie. Around the neighborhood and through the sheep field they would all go. Such a sight to see for all of our neighbors. They all loved Bogey and Suzie!

      I wanna go live by that cat. Sort of in his room. I spose the owner would notice and object on some grounds or other.

      Truly a wonderful cat. Most I’ve known personally (dozens and dozens) were not that engaged with their humans…more of the type willing to love and come for petting and feeding and express appreciation, but not much for just being with – except on the couch…..

      Our farm cats (sixty some years ago now) were great friends with our dog – – sometimes he was a little baffled as to who was in charge. Just because of size he sort of assumed he bore all of this responsibility for things, but the small furry things ran circles around him, under him, and sometimes on him, so that could be a little confusing.

    Sorry, dude. I’ll turn solid ice into warm water for you, though, in your bowl.

    And I’ll give you dry food, because I’m not a moron like that lady who gives you wet food from a can for twelve years in every season, which freezes in ten minutes, whereupon you cannot eat it… and it’s been pretty cold here.

    It’s all my fault. I let him in for a year or so, as an indoor cat. Litterbox, sleepin’ next to my pillow, or on his bed, on the floor. I’d go to work and come back, and he’s waiting on the middle of my floor, yelling at me about “Where’d you go?”

    Landlady intervened.

    Now he’s an outside cat again, like he was for the first 12 years. It’s his place. And, although he still loves me, he yells at me even louder. I can hear him over Joe Bonamassa at high volume on my bicycle-speaker what I ride. Then I hit the OFF button, and he continues yelling at me.

    And now I don’t have to clean Nine Livesâ„¢ vomit, hairballs, or missed litterbox shots, or wake up to very “liquid” sounding sounds on my bed when I’m sleeping.

    He’s been my friend for ten years. He belongs outside, not inside. Even at 14. He’s a badass.

      sorry about your landlady. personally, I favor inside for companion animals and consider them family…but that is just me, and the world goes around enough for a lot of differences of opinion and actions.

      cats are cats…..Bill the Cat cartoon was close to the reality. Purring is not about happiness so much as about getting its own way, and….I am deathly allergic to cat dander…so what do I know.

      He’s kinda old to be relinquished to the outdoors, Wooly. Poor kitty. I know what you mean about cat behavior. I’ve never had one that was perfect. The one I have now sheds long hair, will scratch you if you brush her wrong, yells at me until she’s fed her breakfast, and costs us a fortune every spring when she has to be anesthetized for her haircut. But we love Miss Lacey, and she has us wrapped around her little claw!

        The kitty I have now, Luna, is an almost perfect cat. She is affectionate, clean, and doesn’t scratch up the furniture. She does meow to be fed, and sits outside the bathroom door making a racket until I come out!
