      problem with our lab/pitbull cross, other than its propensity to break legs, is that it will chase a stick when you throw it but will chew it to pieces before it brings it back.
      I heard that the reason there are no Jewish-breed dogs is that they found early in their development that they couldn’t be trained to fetch a schtick.

    Went out into the garage just before sundown and one of the cats had left yet another 1-pound fat field rat by the door for our joint dining pleasure (“Tastes just like rabbIt, trust me!”). Went out there a few minutes ago and it was gone…so far no cat or dog’s fessing up but everyone who’s not bipedal sleeps in the living room tonite.
