The Luncheon Contretemps

[Shared by a friend on Facebook. Written by Phillip William DeVous]

Out to lunch with a friend. Sitting at a table very close to me are two 20-something lads having a conversation about gun control, but not using their “inside voice” that mothers used to teach their children before everyone was “special.” I note one of the loud lads is wearing a T-shirt with an image of Che Guevara emblazoned on it….while speaking in passionately and loudly about gun control.

Like my German Shepherd is drawn to a squirrel, I couldn’t resist. So…
I lean over to the lad and say, “I couldn’t help but hear your passionate conviction about gun control.”

Him: “Hell yeah, the killing has got to stop. These freaky NRA types are enabling genocide in America.”

Me: “I see you’re a Juan Valdez fan?” (Pointing to his T-shirt)

Him: “Dude, that’s Che Guevara.”

Me: “Ah yes, what was it he was so famous for?”

Him: “He was a fighter for Justice.”

Me: “How many people did he kill in the Cuban revolution as the head of Cuba’s Communist armed forces?”

Him: “I don’t know. I just knew he was a fighter.”

Me: “How many people did he kill in Bolivia as head of his communist guerrilla group? How many people did he aid in killing by writing his manual on guerrilla warfare that he put into the armed hands of communist militias that he fomented across the globe?”

Him: “I don’t think he did all that you’re saying.”

Me: “What biographies of Che have you read? Have you read Jon Lee Anderson’s Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life? Maybe Andersen just made all 600+ pages up?”

Him: “Well, I just know he’s a symbol for justice.”

Me: “Unless you happened to be murdered by him or his militia. That strikes me as unjust. However, one final question-as the head of Cuba’s armed forces and a militia maker across the globe and a man who executed many opponents personally, do you really think Che Guevara shares your passion for gun control?”

Him: “You’re some gun nut aren’t you?”

Me: “That’s not an answer to my question. However, I do own guns, yes, but I don’t think owning a gun makes me a nut. However, let me show you a picture of a mass murdering nut who owned thousand of guns and raped hundreds of women:

Ladies and gentlemen, Che Guevara: (Photo of him executing two political opponents).

Horrified by ISIS Murder Videos?–Fidel Castro and Che Guevara were filming their murders half a century before ISIS (WARNING GRAPHIC!)

most 20 somethings have not even learned GOOD bowel control…much less understand anything about weapon control…..they drive like their vehicles are weaponized, and they talk like their vocal cords have great importance for world peace.

Schools are not teaching anymore-they are just brain washing American youth.
Real story that I have told before….Subbing in an American History class. I pass out the worksheets. A student raises her hand and says “Mrs. ….. these are not our worksheets. This is an American History class. These worksheets are for the United States of America”class” I just remained silent as the few who knew told the girl of her error, or was I just in too much shock that an 11th grader could be that …….(fill in the blank) Yes this is true, I swear.

I wish I could say I was surprised, but people don’t learn history anymore.

You get a lot of toads just like the two mentioned above who are doing and saying things gor other reasons than actually supporting the things thry’re doing or saying. Just like old 60s joke about how two campus revolutionaries were talking about their reasons for being such. “Well”, says one, “I do it ’cause it’s a great way to meet chicks!”. Other one looks around and says “Yeah, but they all have hairy legs!”.
All revolutions make use of the disaffected youth who are on the loser fringe, youth who have little idea of who they are, where they are going or what they’ll do. Some smart cookie gives them a cause, a persona and warm hugs and they’re owned. Remember the Weatherunderground (the political group, not the website)? They recruited disaffected college youth who were over their heads in reality as tools. They weren’t real members, just tools. Ditto the American Indian Movement, young Democrats, you name it and they recruited those polly-sci and other soft science students who realized that the ride was almost over and their chances of being hired $50 an hour for a 20-hour week were almost nil.
Almost invariably when the true prog revolutionary cadre take over one of the first groups up against the wall is those useful idiots who carried their water. The cadre’s agenda doesn’t include continuing to stroke their fan club and the sycophant hangers-on need to be taken care of so the core can write its own narrative. Look at the purges after the 1917 revolution.
Life’s too short to waste time with idiots who don’t realize they’re little more than moving targets.

They love to kill their own. One only has to read about the lives of communist revolutionaries Nikolai Bukharin, Genrikh Yagoda, Nikolai Yezhov, Lavrentiy Beria and Leon Trotsky to know that communists have no loyalties to even their fellow communists and Russian revolutionaries. Stalin killed off all his rivals in addition to millions of people in the USSR.

    Start off with: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolai_Bukharin

And speaking of the Soviets, did you see this: From Russia with love? Soviet-era buoy washes up on Florida beach after likely floating 350 miles from Cuba thanks to Hurricane Irma…

The good news is, kids like the ones in the story would not survive here on the North Coast outside of the KSU campus (Oberlin is south of the Ohio Mason-Dixon line; the southern hoopies take care of them). Doubtful they will survive outside the Left Coasts.

Does anyone ever speak of all the goings on that occurred here before the Kent State “shootings”? No. I doubt even you all know the truth. Neither do the kiddies ever learn of the atrocities committed by the likes of Che Whatsits, the Castros, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, or so many others over time. Cannot scare or traumatize the kiddies, ya know. Kids here know the truth.

No matter. These wonderland swillered snowbunnies will go out into the Real World and have to deal with Wicked Son, friends, and progeny. What fun awaits.

p.s. these “kids” are not snowflakes. snowflakes are unique creations that continue on to nourish the earth with moisture and nutrients. these kids are currently neither unique nor useful, and must be (figuratively) destroyed by teaching of truth. (some gun safety would also help.) there is always hope through faith. but, whaddo i know? imo
    Have a Blessed Sunday.
