Glock has now gone to a fifth generation pistol, redesigned largely for Federal requirements. It’s interesting as the Feds can’t seem to agree on a service pistol, they’ve been regularly swapping out for some twenty years. Funniest swap was when FBI decided to switch to the S&W 10mm only to find too many agents couldn’t handle it. They swapped out for a smaller round and for years the civilian market was riddled with ‘hardly ever used’ S&W pistols with government markings.
My Glocks are Gen 2 except for a Gen 3 .45 and I have no difficulty hitting what I aim at… then again I’m using my own money and not the taxpayer’s. Geez, the 1911A1 Colt .45 is well over a hubdred years old, don’t the military and Fed/civilian LEA know they need a new pistol to accurately hit targets?
If I were going into a nasty, dirty situation far removed from civilization (Syria, Columbia, South L.A.) I’d carry an AK, preferably one in the 5.45×39 ammo. They are built to work in adverse conditions with minimal care, unlike that cranky M-16.

Akshully the M-79/M-203 series has multiple different types of rounds including a shotgun round. In a pinch you can use the grenade round to reset the scenario.

I love driving long lonely back highways, I drive the same road at least 50 times a year 50 miles each way. I love to see the change of seasons, the change of the landscape, the American flags,the crops coming to fruition, the same old local places, “Hawg Heaven” and on and on 🙂.
Sometimes when I’m alone I play my music loud sometimes I just enjoy the silence.
So much great travel music out there.

Appealing voice. Not having heard of him before, checked him out. According to Wiki, he’s a Brit, born in 1983, has worked with some well known people, but he hasn’t recorded anything for two years. His website isn’t updated…shows his last tour date was in April 2016. Wonder what he’s doing.
There are so many young men and women like Holden who come and go in the music and film worlds. I think back on the young series leads and supporting casts I worked with in the film industry, most of whom had a short success and then faded back into the real world–some by choice, most not. Others had quite a bit of fame that didn’t last but they continued hanging on; a couple who made it very big.
A harsh business. It’s no wonder that they play the political game and whatever conservative moral, political, economic thoughts they might have are suppressed. What gets lost in the process isn’t given a great deal of thought when it comes to a chance to be famous. Bucking the lefties means no more work, no chance at fame, no nothing. Convictions…expendable.

I don’t know if not being politically correct was a hindrance for Holden, although he is a straight man, one of his most commercially successful songs is “Kissing boys in the streets”. I’d like to think that he made the same decision as Andrew Ridgeley of Wham! fame, take the money and run, enjoy life and being anonymous. Don’t bow to the pressures of the Label.
I would say that most of the big stars in Hollywood and in the music industry are vapid narcissists who never really grow the logical reasoning side of their brains, they are minions, like the popular kids at school terrified of making a misstep and being on the outs with in crowd. So I guess in general I don’t think they really give up their convictions for fame and fortune but they never really grow centered convictions to start with, especially those who start out while they are young in the industry. I don’t think many of them are beyond the age of 3 or 4 emotionally.

Lovely, I’ve met, been acquainted with, worked with/for, and on occasion been personal friends with many big and small names…from actors to producers to writers to directors to craftspeople, stagehands, etc. I’ve met only a few really dumb ones, though I’ve read about quite a number who seem a few bricks less than a wall.
Most actors formed their need to display their talents at a young age and didn’t think they had time to develop interests beyond what would get them ahead in the industry. There are many wonderful people in the film industry, though. I’ve met fine Christians who are knowledgeable and very versed in Scripture. Those I’ve known of other faiths are informed about history, art, music, literature. We hear only about the mess-ups, the lefties, the ignorant…because that’s what the media covering the business is selling. The old newspaper saying of “If it bleeds, it leads” applies. But also remember the saying, “Money talks!”
It’s only been in the last, perhaps, twenty years that lefties have almost completely taken over the music, stage, TV and feature film industries. Before that, you might get some gentle ribbing about being a conservative or a Republican (being a leftie myself until after Clinton’s Presidency, I did my share of this), but it wasn’t a deal breaker when it came to hiring. And, of course, many huge stars were vocal Republicans in the past…Gable, Wayne, Cooper, Stewart, Ginger Rogers, Claudette Colbert, to name a few.
Lefties in the entertainment field can still be beat back somewhat if everyone who understands how destructive the socialist philosophy is bands together and supports films, actors, writers, etc. who want to keep politics out of the business. A lot of work, of course, in keeping informed of who/what/when/where. However, if we couple this with never again patronizing those who make it their life’s goal to force everyone to kneel to leftism, it will go a long way toward bringing the business back to sanity.

You have personal experience I don’t and I tend to forget about the good guys like John Wayne , I didn’t know the others that you mentioned were christians or conservatives. But again I’m not involved in any way with them or the industry so I don’t get to see who they are or were before they became the hollywood version of themselves.

We have Scott Baio, James Woods, Ted Nugent, Clint Eastwood and a few others who stand for America and sanity. I still believe that most of today’s “stars” are evil personified. I think they display that evil every chance they get.

……especially if I’m in the middle of Montana or anywhere that is 75 miles from the nearest town and it’s only a two lane and there are no electrical lights to be seen at night but there are a billion stars and an occasional four-legged animal crossing the road (or three or four of them) and it’s not below zero or above 50(F) and I have a cooler in the back with sandwich bread and summer sausage and fig newtons and I’m not expected anywhere for three days and it’s either before cell phones or I’m out of cell phone range or I have turned my cell phone off after notifying those one or two family members who might care about that……like I said – oh, goodness……

It seems the MSM has Melania and President Trump divorcing again. Apparently they had an award handshake at an event.
Perhaps at some point the morons should be a little culturally aware (I really like saying that about the Left 😏 ) . Melanie is European. Old school. She is not going to be overly affectionate in a public forum especially where they are in the official roles of FLOTUS and POTUS. Of course it is awkward to shake your husband’s hand.
I’ll never forget reading the autobiography of Maria Augusta von Trapp, Maria had met a gentleman at a social party that was a very upscale event. Later that week she saw the same man emptying her garbage bin into the back of a garbage truck. Maria quickly turned away and walked speedily toward her door, it was bad form, a sign of an arrogant snob to take notice of the man’s station in life and she didn’t want to embarrass him. Then the man yelled out to her “Maria! Maria!” She turned around smiled at him awkwardly, waved and still rushed into her house.
Somehow they met again at another party or somewhere and they chatted, Maria was shocked that it was not good form in America to pretend that she hadn’t seen that he was a garbage man. The guy had a good laugh and Maria learned that the strict social restrictions of Europe were not part of the American culture.
It is obvious that Melania carries some of that European social properness with her.

Someone was a’ hammerin’ in his safe space and a woman or I should say someone who had a feminine voice and O’Donnell totally disregarding self gender identification assumed was a woman was talking about something he didn’t like in his earpiece. If you didn’t see it you really have to search for it, it was the definition of an epic liberal meltdown.
True to form liberals defended him said that they act like that five times a day some dame said her husband has a bigger meltdown if he can’t open up a package.

The salty language is exactly what salt should be. Adds flavor. As I work in a kitchen, sometimes it brings a certain je ne sais quoi to a conversation. I don’t know what it is about non-gratuitous cussing, but it works well, when well-placed. And Watson uses his salt well.

Cox and Spectrum are investigating who sent out the alert and whether it was done accidentally or on purpose. It was unclear where the audio came from.
“We have confirmed that we were fed an incorrect audio file,” said Dennis Johnson, a spokesman for Spectrum.
It hasn’t been determined if the audio in the alert is related to a prophecy by David Meade, a self-described “specialist in research and investigations” who believes catastrophic events will occur Saturday.
He predicts a constellation – a sign prophesied in the Book of Revelation – will reveal itself in the skies over Jerusalem, signaling the beginning of the end of the world, according to the Washington Post.
I’ll be catering a wedding when the world ends, I guess. Stuffing mushrooms with crab stuffing. Moving tables and chairs. Dicing tomatoes. Calling out “Heard!” to Chef.
I thought the other day, where would I rather be, when the world ends. At work, is what I decided.
I weighed the options. Sitting on a Caribbean beach with an umbrella drink? Well, that’s out. So’s their power. Southern Mexico. in a nice villa somewhere? Nope. I’m good.
Michigan will probably survive. I mean, look at it. It’s a big ‘ol hand, waving at God.
