The horses are well out of the barn and the fences around the pasture are Swiss cheese.
Fix the fences. Never allow them paperwork that shows them as thoroughbreds when the only reason they’re here is because of crappy fences.
Don’t kill the horses. Let the horses eat, as long as they’re willing to work.
Do not give them citizenship in any guise. When they bellow that they are being treated like second-class citizens, remind them that they are not citizens at all, much less second-class citizens.
My opinion. In the light of reality…obviously they are not going to sent home. Residency rights for life, but non-citizens for life, not allowed to apply for citizenship.
Looks to me like circular thinking with the end result being that we have an endlessly renewable deferment – in other words, they are here to stay and that was always the idea, contrary to the statement in the other post that it was never intended to be a path to citizenship.
Maybe it wasn’t that to person who wrote that statement. I would be it was intended to be just that to those who carefully put it together.
Oh, well.
Like I said during the campaign, I wanted to hear from a candidate talking about implementing a scorched-earth policy with re to all policy and regulatory agencies, which of course, was never going to happen.
It appears that Mr. Trump is decided he can’t do some of the things he said he would do. Doesn’t change my mind about him being the best POTUS we could possible have found for this time. It does provide me with information I did not have before.
One interpretation could be, ‘I’m trying to get on a plane, we’re working on stuff. Ask me something new that hasn’t been answered already. Anyone? No? Ok. Bye now.”

The loopholes will have to be plugged, because DACA members have already received green cards, and about 1,000 have attained citizenship.

I really didn’t know that some already had citizenship. Beyond frustrating.
The only solution I see is if this “deferral” had never, ever gone on the books, and of course, it has.
Deferral was a permanent decision. It was not a deferral.
