PB has become a rent-seeking, unusable behemoth.
I made the image with Imgflip in less than ten minutes after downloading both the Reservoir Dogs pic and the CNN logo pic to my PC. I tried to link it from Photobucket for 20 minutes and finally called it quits, and decided to take some Stellar advice about Imgur, made an account and linked the pic I made in about three minutes.
I take solace in the fact that Photobucket is probably staffed with a lot of multicolored hair, multiple facial piercings, and several bizarre sexual deviants. Because that’s what matters to a tech company. Over and above making a product that works.

I dumped PB about a year or more ago it became a total disaster. You are not the only one having problems with it tonight. It is a wreck of a place. I really like Imgur and have had no problems with it. You have to learn to expect certain glitches bit it works really, really well and the glitches are easy to work around with three clicks.
Good night Wooly

Nighto for me too. Had to drive deep into the heart of downtown NOLA today, into an area I drove for years but haven’t in years. Despite the trepidation of going back in, never mind the dislike, it was automatic,
I got home, turned on the TV just in time for the local news and there was mayor Morial giving his State of the City address. Usual politician BS about being one city composed of many diffrin’ peoples, one out of many, respecting the opinions and beliefs of others (how ’bout dem memorial statues Mitch?), blah blah blah from an empty quiver.
He goes on to say that the murder rate’s down, and though high it’s still not as bad as it was during NOLA’s heyday in the 90s. He ignores the fact that shootings are up and, as pointed out by experts (not politicians), the main reason murders are down is the three ‘level one’ trauma ERs we have up and running. Other crimes are up, and probably would be even worse without some fact juggling but don’t lok over there, look at the nice and shiny piece of BS I’m dangling on this string.
After a few minutes I got tired and switched over to a cable channel and watched back-to-back episodes of ’48 Hour’ featuring multiple NOLA murder cases being investigated.

I understand. I sure do.

Even the hyper-watchfulness is automatic, 110% of attention focused on surroundings and peripheral vision in full use. Even though there’s a spike in interstate shootings they’re nothing new so about the time you get off the twinspan bridge on the I-10 and hit New Orleans East and start taking notice of who’s around you and how they’re acting.
It also seems the hotel concierges may not be as proactive in warning tourists about the dangers of the city – tourists are walking the blocks from the hotels to the Quarter at night rather than taking a cab.

When I say I understand, I mean that in the context of my own line of work.
I didn’t want to walk into my old restaurant yesterday and fix a problem, but it was automatic. Just can’t stop myself. I can’t walk into a restaurant kitchen and not look around, crack my knuckles, grab an apron, and say “LET’S DO THIS!”
I know line cooks that feel the same urge. We’re like those Alaskan sled-dogs that jump up and down and yell “RUN! RUN!”

Chicago police express frustration after more than 100 shot in violent Fourth of July weekend

Yet Rahm and his buddy Barry “wreck the United States and state race wars and a war on the police” Obama are telling President Trump a successful billionaire how to run the country.

They are innocent children before God.
People like Mike Brown started out as innocent and pure as any other baby, the environment of drugs, crime, sex as a tool or body function void of any spiritual element, booze, their egg donors and lack of fathers turns them into who they became.
I’d like to see infants born in the den of evilness rescued and raised in homes where they are valued for their very being rather than tolerated for the $$ increase in welfare benefits their birth brings.

I should add I’m not absolving adults or teens or Mike Brown of their actions. I just am adamantly against killing innocent babies in the womb as a pre-emptive strike against who they may become.
People escape the ghetto. More and more people are waking up to the lie and fighting against their presupposed destiny.

I read a book a long time ago by a social worker who discussed the almost impossible task of reversing what was wrought by LBJ’s “Great Society”. The cycle of government dependency and babies for cash is ingrained in generations now. The young women are also a product of their environment.

I agree with every word lovely said. What you just described has to be truth as well, for so many people. It is a heartbreaking cycle, and we should grieve those lives we lose, both to abortion, and to the thug life of the ghettos.
When I saw the picture of Mike Brown in the street I cried, and I almost never cry unless I’m really mad. It broke my heart to see a young man end up dead in the street at the end of a short and apparently wasted life, and it appears to me that he hasn’t really been mourned by anyone, just used, even in death.
I also believe that these young gang members and criminals and cop killers should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If they block roads the police should tear gas them or arrest them or something. I don’t believe they should be allowed any more leeway to violate laws than I am. I don’t believe in affirmative action programs. I don’t believe in generational welfare handouts.
I don’t have perfect answers to the problem, but murder of innocents isn’t an answer to any problem ever.
LikeLiked by 6 people
the innocents are victims of their lack of parenting or parents. you cannot help a new child become socialized into a lawful and respectful and spiritual culture if that culture does not exist in the childs growth environment. I am very prolife. but merely being born does not fix the social ills of the violent, unGodly, drug using and criminal elements that these children face in their growing up time. Unless the potential egg and sperm donors are neutered…there is NO HOPE for these kids in the urban volume that exists today in a city like Chicago or Baltimore….there is unfortunately NO EXAMPLE of that amount of timely “fix” for this massive sea of social misfits in Western Society….the schools cannot fix it, the local government won’t and cannot fix it, the legal system cannot FIX it…and the racial “reverends” are ANYTHING BUT spiritual leaders and community organizers to fix the neighborhoods….it is NOT poverty….it is NO FAMILY and no mature wisdom to prevail and to mentor and show by EXAMPLE how to live among others in a non violent and productive community.
This is MY opinion only, not an argument.

plse understand, that I despise everything about the Planned Parenthood thing. It was CREATED to prevent growth of the black population….no other purpose…and it was the same mentality as euthenasia…not a Christian social program at all….it was merely animal control as Margaret Sanger saw it and her supporters believed it…..but notice how the blacks today pillary Southerners as anti black, but support Planned Parenthood totally as an ENTITLEMENT for black abortions for girls and women that are inconvenienced by being impregnated by wandering males looking for booty time.

and they CAN grow out of it…One at a Time …when they are ready to learn and motivated to change totally…..but an entire urban cultural group of thousands or more cannot find the light because of law, government money, group counselling and lectures or books…..it is a journey of the individual behavior and character…..and IMO needs a “Higher Power” to help the Individual Get the Message and stay with a personal change of everything about their behavior, attitude, and values. I know this well. I choose to call my own Higher Power by His name…”God”

It’s not uncivilized black thug violence, it’s guuuuuun vioooolence. Black uncivilized thugs aren’t to blame, guns are and the sooner all guns are taken from all hands except those of,,,,oh say…..Obama’s tribe and the Clintons the mo’ soonerer it will be allllll better.
I could buy that gun violence crap were Mormon missionaries and Pentecostals out there shooting each other and innocent Baptists at the same rate black thugs are doing so.
As I’ve said, Rat mayor doesn’t want to mention the FACT that violent crime in NOLA is overwhelmingly black and on those rare instances where the local news alludes to that they seem to retreat from doing so for an extended period. Wonder if someone lights a fire under them?

Of course they don’t state the truth. For LBJ’s Great Society scheme, and that’s exactly what it was, to work, both sides had to do their jobs. Blacks had to sacrifice family, ethics, and a decent meaningful life built around family and work, and whites had to sacrifice their common sense and attention to the hand robbing their pockets eternally, as well as recognition that society was crumbling under their feet.
Looks to me like both sides have mostly done exactly what was expected of them.

Rats also were a big factor in the destruction of the black nuclear family by enacting welfare programs that made it more profitable for moms if the baby daddies weren’t in da’ houssssse.
That was an unintended consequence of the prog welfare programs…..or was it?

One last, for the evening. These guys were formative for me.
Their first 5 or so albums were phenomenal music for the day. And I never heard Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, or any classic rock of not until I graduated H.S. Even now I realize that Petra was equal to them all. Equal at least.

Petra had three albums that I owned on vinyl in the 80s. Never Say Die, More Power to Ya, and Not of This World.
All three were incredible. They had three before that even, back when JPUSA had Rez Band, and they were also challenging the Church’s mores regarding rock & roll music. Rock & roll in the 70s was considered, rightly so after Woodstock and Altamont, very very bad.
It’s not, though. Solomon ended Psalms with a command to play them instruments skillfully. Praising God doesn’t always have to be Monastic Chant. I turned “In the Secret of His Presence” into a rockin’ song many years ago. Written in the 1850s by Ellen L. Goreh. I’ll meet Ellie some day. 🙂
In the secret of His presence
How my soul delights to hide!
Oh, how precious are the lessons
Which I learn at Jesus’ side!
Earthly cares can never vex me,
Neither trials lay me low;
For when Satan comes to tempt me,
To the secret place I go.
2
When my soul is faint and thirsty,
’Neath the shadow of His wing
There is cool and pleasant shelter,
And a fresh and crystal spring;
And my Savior rests beside me,
As we hold communion sweet;
If I tried, I could not utter
What He says when thus we meet.
3
Only this I know: I tell Him
All my doubts and griefs and fears;
Oh, how patiently He listens!
And my drooping soul He cheers;
Do you think He ne’er reproves me?
What a false friend He would be,
If He never, never told me
Of the sins which He must see.
4
Would you like to know that sweetness
Of the secret of the Lord?
Go and hide beneath His shadow;
This shall then be your reward;
And whene’er you leave the silence
Of that happy meeting-place,
By the Spirit bear the image
Of the Master in your face.
Ask me and I’ll add the chords. I wrote them by hand over the words in ’98. The Melody was ganked by many.
He never lets us go.

If you clap fast, that old hymn, you can (I can, anyway, because I got that funk in me), do it in the styles of James Brown, Doobie Brothers, or WAR. It’s not hard. Just gotta let that soul shine, and speed it up. And clap. And stomp yo’ feets.

I did that in NH, when I was living and working at His Mansion Ministries, as a student, in 1998. I remember one day I was in the main worship hall, beautiful building. I was alone, jamming that Goreh song, and singing my heart out. Jammin it like Funkadelic or the Commodores. Really hitting it hard. No drugs, just soul, believing every word.
I thought I was alone. There was another student named Rachel in the small library behind me the whole time. She was the first person to really hear me sing. When I finished, I was spent, and she came out with her jaw agape and almost weeping.
Nobody heard me sing again for the next 18 years.
When she graduated the program, she asked me to play and sing it again for her family. I did, but nowhere near as well as when I thought nobody was listening but God.
It was the only time, so far, that I’ve played and sang in front of a roomful of people.

Wow. Tell you what. Thanks, Impeach.
Christ used that place and it’s folks to heal me, initially. Then I left his embrace, and went my own way again. Logging, farming, ranching, building barbed-wired fences, commanding oxen, and worshipping God with every single thing you do.
The great thing is, you don’t fall out of God’s hand. No matter how hard you try. And I did. I still get their newsletters, every month, in my email. Since ’98.
This place, you folks, is like another chapter, as He continues to write my life.
I can’t believe you found that. And, yes, I recognize the knotty pine and the window itself.

This is what Fake News looks like: Polish First Lady “passes over” Trump handshake
http://legalinsurrection.com/2017/07/this-is-what-fake-news-looks-like-polish-first-lady-passes-over-trump-handshake/
If Washington Post and other leading media will mislead as to a handshake, why should we trust their “anonymous” sources?
A misleading video clip of Donald Trump supposedly being passed over for a handshake by the First Lady of Poland is sweeping the internet. In fact, there was a handshake a couple of seconds later, but the clip is cut so tightly that it appears that this was a sign of disrespect.
If it were just another misleading internet meme, it would be bad enough. But it is being pushed by the Washington Post on Twitter and on its website, as well as by other major media.
WaPo continues this story line on its website, twice. WaPo’s article contains that same two-second clip as part of a longer clip of prior Trump handshakes.
The text added by WaPo admits that the video clip and story is misleading — so why did WaPo use a misleading headline and video in the first place?
Wapo’s tweet:
What really happened:

Cool! I have to laugh, though, because I used to have some of those vintage patterns and made clothes from them. Hm, does that make me vintage?

I have a big box of old patterns – many from the sixties and seventies. I think I’m officially vintage now too.

I follow some eBay groups online. I don’t know if the online availability has impacted the value of those patterns, but there are people who make a lot of money selling vintage patterns. They love it, easy and low cost to ship, usually not the hassle you get from selling clothes, etc, where you get jerks who wear the clothes for an event then claim they were defective or whatever. You might have some money in those old patterns.
I threw away a ton of them when my mother died and I cleaned out her house.

I got Mrs. Nyet a Singer 66 in Cabinet No. 40. I replaced the 1928 wiring. I even found cloth covered cord.

My daughter has my portable Singer from the 1920’s; has a wood arched case. It still works great!

my grandmother made quilts and my childhood pajamas as well as dresses and etc for herself on this kinda machine…which I still have upstairs in the play room…and which still works….and I found her patterns in an old trunk…which I think I will donate to a regional craft museum that wants them….

My old Singer ran on electricity, although it is from the 1920’s. I also have a Singer from the 1960’s and a newer machine from the 2000’s. I also make quilts, and made pajamas, shorts and shirts for my grandsons, as well as costumes for them, myself, and for my daughter when she was little. I used to sew clothing for myself, but don’t do that any more. I do still make things for the house – pillows, tablecloths, pot holders, curtains etc.

It’s probably because I’m the great granddaughter, granddaughter & daughter of a ranching family, that I pay attention to fences. Montana’s 1959 earthquake was horrific, but I have always been drawn to the unintended beauty of this image.

Remember all of the fast food and big-box store employees marching for higher wages as minimum wage jes don’ be makin’ it? Well it seems their complaints have spurred new technology development, thanks whiners.
Amazon will be rolling out a series of bricks-and-mortar stores that will be fully automated. There will be no employees, you will order and pay through machines with no human contact. How long do you think before Walmart will start replacing their min wage cashiers with machines? In my small-town big-box Walmart they number of automated checkout stations is increasing while cashiers seem to be a rare thing.
Ditto McDonalds, they’re looking at replacing cashiers with ordering kiosks. You’ll roll up, punch in your order and the little automaton takes your order, just like now but without that minimum-wage attitude. Next step is automating the prep and serving functions and that is undoubtedly on the way. Fast food stores work on a very thin profit margin and every employee they can dump is profit in the bank and less worry with the human management issue. Stores can stay open longer while reducing costs associated with the human aspect. You can bet that other major fast food chains will pick up on the equipment most riki-tik.
So that messy minwage problem is soon to get even mo’ stickier as the fast food folks and more discrete stores start to automate more and more.

also…guess whatelse…automated checkout and ordering can easily be independent of language requirements…do not need to have employees that have to be understood anymore because they cannot count change or speak English that is understandable.

Or, again, giving attitude because they drooped out of school in 10th grade and are stuck in a dead end min-wage job. Had Hillary have won they’d be getting $100 and hour with a 10 hour week and all the dope they could pick up at the Mena Stop and Snort.

You have probably seen the news wonks report today that President Trump couldn’t find a hotel that would take him in Hamburg.
Here’s an informative article about that, along with the best comment I’ve seen in a long time:
During the 1985 Geneva Summit, Reagan stayed at the Aga Khan’s villa rather than a hotel. Nothing unusual except that the press knows nothing about history or what other presidents have done. Dealing with reporters is like training and retraining a small, retarded dog. No matter how much you work with it it still messes on the rug.

Sooooooo…no one made a ‘reservation’ ahead of time for the POTUS even though they didn’t know who it would be? Sounds more like the previous POtuS’s staff dropped the ball meaning had Hillary been elected she’d have had an issue too.
The POTUS just can’t walk in and get a room at the Motel 6,there have to be security measures in place weeks to months ahead of time, detailed measures. The rooms above, below and to a certain degree to the sides of the POTUS’s suite have to be secured as do access to the Presidential digs by rifle of RPG-shooting types from nearby buildings. Water connections, electrical and phone lines as well as any wiring in place need to be checked and secure comms have to be installed as well as other considerations.
The US has secure housing for foreign dignitaries but many other countries don’t and our POTUS has very strict security requirements that many civilian hotels can’ meet. In NOLA for the RNC in ’87 two adjacent hotels were used and security for the convention started months ahead of time. One hotel was so crammed with comms and other security, we even had two airports for AF One to land at.
MSM is just twisting an event into a Trump-bashing non-event, they seem to believe that if they can throw enough MSM-generated dirt on him he’ll be damaged goods in the 2018 and 2020 elections.

lilbirdee12’s prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.
We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen
