Lived in the South and Southwest, prefer green to brown as a primary color and Southern drawl to Spanglish as a primary language.

I’ll never forget when my husband and I were driving through southern CA for the first time, he was a native Californian and said “It’s so green!” the grass was a pale greenish brown and the trees were pale green also, growing up in the midwest I had no idea what he was talking about 🙂 .

My mother, who grew up in TN and eventually ended up in FL, hated S. Cal. because it was so barren, she said. I am not sure she ever came to appreciate the beauty out there.

About 12 years ago my best friend from Chicago brought her young son up to visit me in WI as they were driving he remarked “It’s so green here, just like Wisconsin.” It took him a while but he finally figured out why she just smiled.

This quote, Mary, is why the Alt-Right is the only viable position to take, if one wishes to preserve their civilization and culture. Conservatives have done nothing to conserve our culture, and they tell the same old lies that Liberals tell, and do nothing when in power to stop any encroachment on our culture or our values or our society.
“Stop Breeding”, in other words, breeding is bad. If you’re white. You should be gay. Or trans. Or asexual. Or sexual without breeding in any of 57 ways, like Heinz A-1™.
Hang your head in shame if you are “Cismale”. You dream of meeting a girl and marrying her? And then breeding, and passing on your culture to your offspring? That’s shameful.
But not for Muslims or blacks or “Chicanos” (thanks Barack for bringing that word back).
No Liberal or Conservative will castigate them for having kids and instilling their culture and values into those kids.
When I say values, imagine a number line, with zero in the middle, negative to the left, positive to the right. That’s how number lines always worked, at least outside of the Far East. (They read in the other direction.)
Islam is all the way to the left of that zero. Christianity, which built civilization, instead of destroying it, is quite a ways to the right of that zero.
If you wish to grow your society, your culture, and your values, why in GOD’S NAME would you allow Islam into it? Why would you even promote it?

Conservatives have done plenty to “protect the culture” and no one knew what the “alt-right” was until Clinton brought it up. As a Conservative, i voted for Donald Trump specifically to protect my American culture. And I do not tell the same lies that Liberals tell.
Here’s the really, really big thing: Liberal and Democrat are for intents and purposes equivalent terms. Conservative and Republican are not equivalent terms.
The only reason this Conservative has an “R” behind her name is because sundance said that we had better all get registered to vote in the Republican primary election if we wanted to help Trump. So I did. Having an “R” behind my name is NOT a point of pride for me and I would appreciate it if you would stop proclaiming that I and those like me just as bad as Mitch McConnell because we’re Conservatives. Republican =/= Conservative.

I’ll offer my opinion.
I think not only republican has been redefined but also conservative has been co-opted and redefined. I consider myself a conservative but also alt-right. I do not identify with the Never-Trumpers a club which is made up of long time conservatives. A group of men and women so blinded by their “aristocratic” image of themselves and their book sales, that they continue to spit on a man who has been saying what they claimed they wanted conservative republicans to say for years.
Clinton is a criminal.
Obama is an anti-American.
America must stop funding the world and start putting itself first.
Equal rights not special rights.
TTP is a disaster.
Illegal immigration is a danger to the State.
Islam is a clear and present danger.
The Paris Accord is a scheme to steal American money.
The government should work for the people not the other way around.
That is just off the top of my head but all Trump did was come in and say unapologetically these very things but at the same time call out the hypocrisy of the republicans and the conservatives for their own corruption and complicity in allowing our great nation to be turned into Soros’ whipping boy. 95% of (democrats, republicans, conservatives) are beholden to interest that go against the very fiber of our nations founding values.
As to alt-right many people knew what it was before Clinton said it. Granted alt-right means different things to different people but the core premise is that conservatives, republicans, democratic, liberals have all become tentacles of the same monster and we need to have an alternative that has not sold out to the highest bidder.
This is not to say that there is no difference between the parties we have Justice Gorsuch because of republicans and conservatives, but more importantly we have Justice Gorsuch because President Trump forced the hand of these people. My belief is that we only have some hope of conservative politicians acting and voting like traditional conservatives because President Trump and the American public will hold their feet to the fire.

I’m watching a series on History Channel, ‘America’s War on Drugs’.It’s great, openly spills the beans on areas someone (can’t remember who) has been posting for years. The episode last night was a fave, it hit a real sore spot, how Clinton pushed thru the NAFTA bill that supercharged Mexican drug lords. The narrator is saying as truth something that had been hinted on a long time in the field – that Bill’s top drug officials had told him how the NAFTA would open the gates on illegal drugs from Mexico but he ordered them to keep their mouths shut as it was feared releasing that information from an official,source would jigger the bill’s passage. They’re sort of hinting Bill ordered them to stay quiet to ensure the creation of jobs in Mexico and the US would go forward and the drug issue could be taken care of later.
Anyone else have another reason Bill would push Congress to flood the country with drugs?

The only thing I can come up with is that (and leaving pot out of the equation) addicts are either negated as a political force or they are lead and controlled via emotionality – as are most on the left; they are volatile and dependent. Druggies are also going to be against most things that conservatives are in favor of, such as eradicating illicit drug use, paring down the welfare rolls. It makes for an easily controlled populace. They may be a lot of things, but conservative they ain’t. No pushback against liberal agendas.
Just a wild stab in the dark. And I’m not sure I worded it well.
Is the current “war on opioids” making more or fewer Mexican heroin users in this country? Rhetorical question, kindasorta.

I first came face-to-face with government-drug connections in 1967 and it went on from there’s. I still think the Feds started the War on Drugs to get the civilians to fund their eliminating the competition.

The government specializes in msking career paths go running various causes. The Col will know this one: ‘how many decades of military planners beat the Fulda Gap Soviet invasion dead horse? The contingencies were secret but over 45 years how many defense scenarios can you come up with?
Next we have the drug war, billion spent each year while bureaucrats and various Fed agencies build careers and civilian businesses make big bucks selling equipment and supplies to the drug warriors. I ain’t even gonna start on the Global War on Terrorism.

As the bullet heads toward its target, if the earth is rotating away from the shooter the shot can hit high, or towards the shooter low if you don’t compensate. Temperature of the rifle barrel, the ammo’s temp itself, there are many factors involved in a long range shot.
I don’t have that problem any more, area here’s so wooded that my longest shot would be about 300-yards and that’s iron sight range.

On the radio the other day I even heard some woman talking about how Dems had to sell their message and that Ossof should have made the election about local issues rather then make it a referendum on Trump (Her co-hosts were very scornful of that idea.)

I think most of us are aware of the misuse of transparency, but this article lays it out very clearly. And, may I point out that Kamala Harris is an untrustworthy person, besides being a jerk?

Beautiful succinct letter.
To do away with this concept may suggest that I’m not supposed to care about my child any more than I should care about any random person anywhere on earth. Do you believe that? If not, where is the dividing line?
They can no sooner draw this line than they can draw a line as to human/non-human when a baby is in the womb. to draw the line negates their agenda.

I have Outnumbered on right now. I usually avoid it when Marie Harf is on because I can’t stand her. But, I was busy today and didn’t turn it off, but could hear it. I am so glad. They are handing it right back to her today. She makes one of her nonsensical statements that isn’t true and they are calling her on it. Hee Hee. Love it. I have wanted to see that for a long time.

I just read the summary of the Senate health care plan. I’m surprised God did not strike Shumer down with a lightening bolt for lying!!!!! The summary looks pretty darn good to me with the exception of buying across state lines.

Right, because of reconciliation in the Senate. I heard Cruz say, he thought they could, but no go. Also in phase 2, Price can start hacking away on regulations that were put in after Obamcare passed by EO!

Local news had the Federal representative from Louisiana’s 2nd district on the news tonite. Seems he got into a heated reply with another Congressman who referred to NOLA’s crime rate as ‘3rd world’. Rep Richmond, of the Congressional Black Caucus, was about one or two adjective away from calling the other Congressman outside fo’ a good ass whoopin’, even brought the race card in with a ‘white privilege’ reference. Other folks watching the broadcast agreed that it was provocative and decidedly unprofessional but he wasn’t aiming his remarks at our demographic.
I emailed him and reminded him that the crime rate in NOLA’s been in nation’s top five on and off for decades. Also mentioned that if he’s looking for 3rd world behaviors he need look no farther than his seat’s predecessor Federal Rep William ‘Dollar Bill’ Jefferson who, along with members of his immediate family were jailed for bribery while in office’ Sheesh, bribery by a real African 3rd world country no less.
Also asked if all of the Vietnamese who came to NOLA in the 70s and 80s, dominated the honor rolls of NOLA schools and have gone off to prosper were guilty of ‘yellow privilege’.

BTW, relative to my earlier post, just after the piece on the Federal Rep calling out the other Rep for referring to NOLA as a 3rd world city the news ran a piece on a SWEAT rollout to find a black male with an assault rifle who’d ALLEGEDLY fired at police. Can’t make this up folks.

It’s NatGeo, so, I decided to dive in, as well.
At 230 feet, the limit of our dives, the diversity is greatest. We see gorgonian sea fans, shellfish, soft corals, sponges, small fishes—the colors and exuberance are reminiscent of tropical coral reefs. The fixed invertebrates in particular are enormous. Well adapted to a stable environment, these plantlike animals grow slowly but, it appears, without limit—unless something disturbs them. How, we can’t help wondering, will they respond as climate change warms their world?
Aaaaand, there it is. As always, in each and every article. At least the author admitted that it’s a compulsion that he can’t help.

But, I bet at least five NatGeo authors in the last 40 years have praised certain Middle Easterners’ dedication to using the left hand to wipe, AND for “environmental” reasons.

I just watched our President sign the VA Accountability and Whistle Blower Law. I am blubbering like a baby. There was a Vet there who lost an arm and a leg in Afghanistan. He had waited over three years for alterations to his home to make it more usable for him. Our President had it done in 3 weeks! They also have a VA complaint hotline, that I think goes direct to the White House. It is available now in a “soft launch” mode. Official Launch is Aug. 15.
