Some background and thoughts on the Paris Accord, and why/why not decide to withdraw.
White House:
Point of view by Richard A. Epstein (Hoover Institute) – audio.
The Libertarian: Forget Paris?
From the Daily Signal (Nicolas Loris):
4 Reasons Trump Was Right to Pull Out of the Paris Agreement
1. The Paris Agreement was costly and ineffective.
2. The agreement wasted taxpayer money.
3. Withdrawal is a demonstration of leadership.
4. Withdrawal is good for American energy competitiveness.
The Paris Agreement was the open door for future U.S. administrations to regulate and spend hundreds of millions of dollars on international climate programs, just as the Obama administration did without any input from Congress.
Now, that door has thankfully been shut.

Michael Crichton Is Right!
But was Crichton right? In an extensive analysis of State of Fear presented below, the president of The Heartland Institute, Joseph Bast, catalogues all of Crichton’s scientific claims, checks them against peer-reviewed literature, and finds Crichton’s science was as strong as his narrative skills. Crichton was right, and thanks to his popularity as a novelist, millions of people around the world now know that global warming is not a crisis.

The #2 reason above in the opening article, about wasting taxpayer money, is truer than many know. Of the companies who were offered or received Obama’s redistribution of wealth were failed or faltered even as of 2012. A billion dollars, without Congressional approval (meaning no oversight) is an outrageous amount for these skittle-pooping unicorns:
The complete list of faltering or bankrupt green-energy companies (As of 2012, mind you):
Evergreen Solar ($25 million)*
SpectraWatt ($500,000)*
Solyndra ($535 million)*
Beacon Power ($43 million)*
Nevada Geothermal ($98.5 million)
SunPower ($1.2 billion)
First Solar ($1.46 billion)
Babcock and Brown ($178 million)
EnerDel’s subsidiary Ener1 ($118.5 million)*
Amonix ($5.9 million)
Fisker Automotive ($529 million)
Abound Solar ($400 million)*
A123 Systems ($279 million)*
Willard and Kelsey Solar Group ($700,981)*
Johnson Controls ($299 million)
Schneider Electric ($86 million)
Brightsource ($1.6 billion)
ECOtality ($126.2 million)
Raser Technologies ($33 million)*
Energy Conversion Devices ($13.3 million)*
Mountain Plaza, Inc. ($2 million)*
Olsen’s Crop Service and Olsen’s Mills Acquisition Company ($10 million)*
Range Fuels ($80 million)*
Thompson River Power ($6.5 million)*
Stirling Energy Systems ($7 million)*
Azure Dynamics ($5.4 million)*
GreenVolts ($500,000)
Vestas ($50 million)
LG Chem’s subsidiary Compact Power ($151 million)
Nordic Windpower ($16 million)*
Navistar ($39 million)
Satcon ($3 million)*

The Amazing Arrogance of the Paris Climate Agreement
https://fee.org/articles/the-amazing-arrogance-of-the-paris-climate-agreement/?utm_source=sumome&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=sumome_share
And what are the specifics of that agenda? The Paris Agreement is a “voluntary” agreement because its architects knew it would never pass the US Senate as a treaty. Why? Because the idea of the agreement is that the US government’s regulatory agencies would impose extreme mandates on its energy sector: how it should work, what kinds of emissions it should produce, the best ways to power our lives (read: not fossil fuels), and hand over to developing world regimes billions and even trillions of dollars in aid, a direct and ongoing forcible transfer of wealth from American taxpayers to regimes all over the world, at the expense of American freedom and prosperity.
And you wonder why many people have doubts about it.

This is Tucker Carlson’s show from last night. Listen to the first 10-12 minutes, where he interviews the mayor of Miami Beach about the Paris Accord. That man should go and crawl under a rock, because he is a complete idiot.

When the liberals cite Elon Musk’s resignation as was a moral decision on Musk’s part made because of his concern for the earth.
Laugh in their faces.

Top global polluters. China is #1 (29% of global pollution), yet had pledged ZERO DOLLARS to the Paris Accord, nor promised any reduction in their carbon output. ADD: Apparently China has promised some reduction (I don’t know how much) by 2030 – 13 years from now.

By the way, the climate zombies will tell you that per capita the United States is way worse than China or India. I have two things to say about that (at least):
1. Do we really want more of our citizens to live like the Chinese or Indians? No electricity, sewage running down the middle of the street, polluted water?
2. The Chinese economy is poised, right now, to surpass that of the United States. Let them pay and clean up their country if that is what is expected of us.

This was not a treaty between the US and other nations. It was, through executive order, an agreement by Obama, pimping Americans to other nations.

Stella, two positive indicators happened when Trump said “No”. The first one was the reaction from the stock market. Secondly Wilber Ross said; “when people take money out of your pockets, then you tell them to put it back, they don’t like it.”
That all anybody with common sense should need.
