    Another perspective:

Diplomacy, Distrust, and the Paris Climate Accord

    https://lawfareblog.com/diplomacy-distrust-and-paris-climate-accord

I can think of at least one litigation-minded argument against remaining a party to the Paris Accord.

If the United States remains a party to the Paris Accord, then it will ultimately fall to federal judges to decide whether the accord has any relevance to federal domestic regulatory reforms. What would animate those judges? Well, throughout President Obama’s tenure, we often heard complaints that federal judges—especially on the important D.C. Circuit—were inappropriately “activist” in striking down the Administration’s regulatory actions, such as the SEC’s “proxy access rule,” or the IRS’s health insurance subsidies. Harvard’s Cass Sunstein and Adrian Vermeule criticized the D.C. Circuit’s conservative judges for pursuing a willfully “libertarian” version of judicial activism in matters of administrative law. Or, as the Washington Post’s Steven Pearlstein asserted, “[m]any of the D.C. Circuit judges have long since stopped pretending to defer to the factual determinations and policy judgments of duly appointed regulators, as the law requires. Deference has now given way to skepticism, hostility and contempt[.]”

We now see similar concerns being raised about the judicial response to Trump’s policies. In declaring President Trump’s executive orders on refugees, the Ninth Circuit’s reasoning and rhetoric raised eyebrows across the political spectrum. As Ben Wittes observed here, the Ninth Circuit’s hasty analysis “[r]emarkably” breezed past one of the most important statutes at issue in the dispute. Even Jeffrey Toobin, hardly a staunch Trumpist, agreed that the Ninth Circuit simply glossed over significant legal issues. …

    • I’m glad President Trump dumped the Paris agreement. It was another wealth redistribution scheme that would only hurt America in the end.

It’s nice to have a president who won’t let the rest of the world spit in our faces just because we’re Americans. Not that they all do it, but it sure feels that way sometimes, and I’m glad President Trump won’t let the rest of the world do it anymore.

BloomFirm Attorney at Law Press Release

Comedian Kathy Griffin and Attorney Lisa Bloom to Hold Press Conference

Kathy Griffin has hired high-powered attorney Lisa Bloom and will hold a press conference Friday to address the firestorm surrounding the viral image of herself holding the bloody, decapitated head of President Donald Trump and the “bullying” she claims she has endured at the hands of the Trump family as a result.
Griffin was fired from CNN this week, where she has hosted New Year’s Eve Live with network anchor Anderson Cooper since 2007

Kathy Griffin is holding a press conference on Friday to complain about the “bullying from the Trump family that she has endured” following the release of a photo spread showing the comedian holding up a bloodied head of President Trump.

Lisa Bloom, the daughter of famed feminist litigator Gloria Allred and Griffin’s newly hired lawyer, made the shocking announcement on Twitter.

Bloom says that she and Griffin will “announce the true motivation” behind the photo shoot.

Bloom posted the press release to her Twitter account, saying, “Proud to announce that I represent Kathy Griffin. We will be holding a press conference tomorrow morning. Here’s the details.”

Bloom, said “I lover her too” in response to a commenter on Twitter who said, “I happen to love kathygriffin. Witch hunts are exhausting. Brava, LisaBloom.”

Stella, your assessment is absolutely spot on. She’s blaming Trump for the supposed death threats she is getting. I wish that multiple people would put out pictures of her severed head. I know you don’t agree with that, but she DOES NOT get IT that it is hurtful to Pres. Trump and his family.

Ah, the SS is after her. Good. I did like that guy at the end with the picture of Lisa Blooms head saying the woman who gave him that shouldn’t be bullied.

“Pile of crap” certainly sums it up.

The story is that Kathy held up a fake head of President Trump because candidate Trump said something about Megyn Kelly and blood? And one of the folks present at the photo shoot said “…it was almost poignant that she was feeling sad for the country.

Kathy played the tears card, the gay card, the misogyny card, the vet card, the “I’m just a skinny little old lady card” she even mentioned or maybe it was Lisa our old pal Vladimir Putin 🙄 and then said ”A sitting president, his grown children and the first lady are trying to ruin my life forever! “

No Kathy you are reaping the consequences of your own actions. Take your $20 million dollars and go enjoy your life.

This would have been hilarious if had been on Monty Python but the fact that it is supposed to be taken as serious makes it pathetic.

Lisa called Kathy a “Shero” which is apparently better than being a hero.

Kathy Griffin who “is all about women” hired the “amazing civil rights attorney” Alan Isaacman? 😏

Their world exceeds the rabbit hole in it’s madness.

During the question answer portion of the presser a gentleman blindsided Lisa and Kathy when he asked how Kathy felt about about Barron’s reaction to the photo. Lisa rolled her eyes and said dismissively “Well allegedly.” Kathy dismissively blamed Melania (without mentioning her by name) for letting Barron watch the news or use a computer unsupervised.

Someone asked ; ”Given the chance what would you say to Melania or Barron”. Kathy Griffin through Lisa said I would have nothing to say to them.

Best line of the entire horse and pony show.

      😢 😢 😢 😢“President Trump broke me.”___Kathy Griffin 😢 😢 😢 😢

Best visual of the show was the same chap who asked about Barron’s response later held up a picture of Kathy Griffin holding Lisa Bloom’s head and asked her if she thought it was funny! 😜

Bottom line. Kathy just put the final nail in her own coffin.

This was the dumbest thing I ever watched, it was sent to me on FB when it was live today and I didn’t make it to questions or Griffin. It was beyond stupid, the first time a President ever went after anyone. For one he tweeted, FL commented, that is not going after anyone, but how conveniently it is forgotten about Obama’s words about police. This wouldn’t happen to a man, again bs, anyone remember the Rodeo clown? Ted Nugent threatened to kill Obama and nothing happened? First, all he said was “you have to cut the head off the snake,” not exactly threatening to kill anyone and guess what he was also visited by the SS.

Two stupid liberal women and that was as far as I could get with the stupid.

    (about the existence of God)

I have had many a debate with folks on this topic and although it may sound a little silly, this is how I explain my belief that there certainly is a very real possibility of a higher intelligence, God, or divine deity that exists. We humans have a tendency to believe that the realm of possibilities is limited to what we can perceive, comprehend, and understand with our human intellect.

To my non-believer friends I ask this simple question. “Do you believe that ants can communicate amongst each other?” They always respond with, “Yes, of course”. Science bears this out. Ants communicate to build nests, care for the queen, etc.

Next I ask this question, “Well since ants obviously have some degree of intelligence and can communicate, do you think ants could perceive of and explain the existence of humans?” Their answer is always a resounding “No, of course not”.

Then I ask, “So in the ant world, does that mean that humans don’t exist?”. Here they say, “Well of course not”. Then I conclude with, “Maybe that’s exactly how it is with us and God”. Just something to think about.

Interesting WashPost piece on how the Southern white population’s seemingly on disability and drugs, sucking the welfare trough dry. Now it doesn’t specifically say ‘white’ but read it and tell me what overall inference it conveys. Let’s not forget that there’s still a very large non-white population in the South and they are also in that ‘obebin six’ figure, but the Post chooses a white hillbilly type of the sort that Hollyork loves to portray as the quintessential redneck layabout to be its focal point.
As any LEA whose ever worked the public housing projects in any major city can tell you, there are many many residents who are on their fourth or greater public dole ride…but generally they are non-white so their treating the welfare system as a cultural teat is acceptable if not laudable. To question their reliance on the tax folks as their primary income and support is…well, racist.

Here is another way Soros works against countries to institute his Socialist ideals in a country that doesn’t want to be part of his New World Orde, in this case, Hungary. It’s worth a quick read, but the quoted section below is virtually a “Where’s Waldo” if you’re looking for Soros’ fingerprints:

“The Venice Commission, an advisory body of the Council of Europe, the continent’s top human rights organization, noted concerns with the new NGO rules, which include fines or even the closure of groups failing to comply.

In a preliminary report released Friday, the commission said that the labeling of civic groups, “placed in the context of a virulent campaign carried out by some Hungarian authorities against foreign-funded NGOs,” could “adversely affect their legitimate activities and may raise a concern of discriminatory treatment.”

The commission called for consultations with NGOs before the law is adopted, questioned why sports and religious groups would be exempt and said the obligation for the groups to mention their status as being foreign funded on all printed and online publications seemed “excessive.”

Parents Shocked by Adult Drag Queen Performance – at Grade School Talent Show
    (Video at link)

What in the name of Ru Paul is wrong with the New York City Board of Education?

Parents are furious after children as young as 5-years-old were exposed to a man’s erotic drag show performance at what was supposed to be a school district talent show.

So, here’s the bottom line. There are several issues that need to be addressed.

First, who signed off on a school program that featured a kindergarten choir and a gyrating, adult drag queen?

Second, why is that person still employed by the school district?
