We have a toad that’s homesteaded a spot under one of our bedroom windows. Problem is it barks like a small dog and its call is LOUD.

Every single film is amazing. Every frame. I’m almost sad that Disney acquired the rights, because they are, by and large, SJW and corporate cowards, but what they did with Howl’s Moving Castle using Western voice actors was perfect. Usually I prefer to hear the original language and read subtitles.
The film Grave of the Fireflies is the saddest, most poignant animation I’ve ever seen, and produced in 1988.

Japanese have been painting and making music and poetry and art for a very long time. Walt Disney, Hannah-Barbera, Warner Bros.? Not so much, I think. More into the money than the art.
Ghibli films are virtuoso deep, sometimes whimsical, comedic, unbelievably detailed, and they make Disney’s collected works look like Disney makes Rocky and Bullwinkle look.

That reminds me of a scene out of the play, Sylvia. The woman who played the dog, Sylvia, was really great. It is one of the funniest plays I have ever seen.

but not before all local schools were placed on total lockdown, bomb sniffing dogs were sent to the animal shelters to search for explosive cat collars with attention to faux bells and ribbons, the swat team was deployed to cat friendly neighborhoods, and all dog owners were told to immediately keep their dogs in the house and in a secure location with fresh water and a new chew bone.
