    Trump Ends Obama’s African Ebola Amnesty

    In a refreshing move, the Trump administration is eliminating one of Barack Obama’s many outrageous amnesty initiatives, this one involving illegal immigrants from African countries affected by the Ebola virus a few years ago. The Ebola amnesty scandal got buried in the hoopla of the administration’s broad executive order protecting millions of illegal alien Mexicans and Central Americans, but it was just as alarming. Launched in 2014, the Ebola reprieve was issued separately—and quietly—via a Temporary Protected Status (TPS), a humanitarian program that’s supposed to be short-term.

    Under the plan, the administration designated Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone for TPS for 18 months. That’s how it always starts—for a short period of time then it grows into years. Before you know it, illegal aliens who benefit from TPS for humanitarian reasons are legal residents enjoying all the generous perks—free education, food stamps, medical care etc.—that Uncle Sam has to offer. This scenario has been repeated over the years under both Republican and Democrat administrations. For instance, “temporary” protection for Hondurans and Nicaraguans has been extended over and over again thanks to a hurricane (Mitch) that hit the Central American countries more than a decade and a half ago.

    This is a great essay. Many examples of how libs/progs want to have it both ways (def: “are absolute hypocrites”).

    Other examples are science, and my favorite, the etymology of words.

    Go ahead and call a liberal woman “hysterical” and they will default to their CGNU (CrzayGoNuts University) learning, and remind you that this word is etymologically related to “hysterectomy”, and that you are saying she’s acting like a p***y.

    Use the word, in a session of congress “niggardly” and SUDDENLY etymology doesn’t matter, because the word sounds like another word that is absolutely not allowed to be spoken, except by the people who would be offended by that word in their every hip-hop recording. Pro-tip to Libs: the word you hate but love to use but hate to hear, except from people who call themselves that, comes from a completely different language group, diverging thousands of years ago, than the word “niggardly”. I hope any libs don’t get all hysterical when they figure this out. It’s just a word, you p***ys.

    And no, regarding the All-Holy Science. Black people don’t have an average IQ of 70-75. That’s racist! But we love science, you Christofacist Godbags.

    They always want it both ways. They’re right, even if today’s “I’m right” completely contradicts yesterday’s “I’m right”. Leftists/progs are absolutely insane.

    So, I was sitting in our screen room, catching up on the news when our neighborhood daddy swan put his head right up against the screen and eyeballed me. He is immense and I was worried about him ripping the screen. I was wearing a white shirt, maybe he thought I was another swan? I slowly walked into the house then out the back to herd him across the road to our fake lake. Strange thing having a giant swan sneak up to less than three feet away. Mommy swan is way on the other side sitting on her nest, poor thing.

        Colonel, I already got the professional advice I was seeking, here.

        Thanks. No fear here. It was stunning, but only for an evening. The restaurant opens again tomorrow (Tue. and Wed. are our days off, until summer, or when we hire enoughs staff), and I will have the strength and power of Christ.

        I don’t believe in ghosts, per se. I do believe they are evil spirits pretending to be the dearly departed, whether haunting or speaking through ouija boards and mediums and such. I don’t have a clue why they are localized, down to within a tiny area within a building (this thing is a block away from me right now, in that restaurant, and not here in my apartment, for instance).

        I’m not going to study it. I’m not going to research it further. But I am not afraid.

    At about this time in 1788, Alexander Hamilton (a.k.a. Publius) was writing Federalist Paper No. 81. His essay would later appear in a bound volume with other Federalist essays (see below).

    This paper honestly might leave you rolling your eyes a bit at the current state of affairs.

    Hamilton is still discussing the judiciary and concerns about the Supreme Court. The Constitution’s opponents were worried that the Court would end up being superior to the legislature. Hamilton dismissed these arguments as “made up altogether of false reasoning upon misconceived fact.”

    “[T]here is not a syllable in the plan under consideration,” Hamilton wrote, “which DIRECTLY empowers the national courts to construe the laws according to the spirit of the Constitution . . . .” Of course, he acknowledges, the “Constitution ought to be the standard of construction for the laws, and that wherever there is an evident opposition, the laws ought to give place to the Constitution.”

    Hmm. You have to wonder what Hamilton would say today. Would he be so blithe about expecting the Court to stay true to the text of the Constitution, steering clear of interpretations made “according to the spirit of the Constitution”? (How, exactly, does the “spirit” of the Constitution differ from the “penumbras” of the Constitution anyway?) …
