Watching Nunes’ live presser – the plot thickens, seems he’s carefully parsing his words and the info msy have been provided by a leaker. Note he said he’s asking the 3-letter Beltway agencies to provide all of these reports which sort of suggests that they didn’t provide, more like hid, these reports and a leaker put the jounds on the trail. His constant references to the parameters used to collects these data suggests to me that he’s hinting to the agencies that if they speedily and honestly supplly ALL of the reports, data and info on who requested them the WH would go after the big dogs and give the agencies a ‘bye’.
Sounds like the folks have found the gorilla in the living room but want to keep it under the couch cushions until the homeowner can get an agreement on just how big it is.
Watch Nunes go on about how there’s no evidence of hardwire wiretapping…remember that this doesn’t necessarily include wireless comms or, if you really want to parse the sentence, interception where there’s an air gap in the hardwire system.

I watched it too.
Nunes is on TV saying that there was definitely surveillance by the government of Trump at Trump Tower and that some of it seems to be suspect and at some level politically motivated. President Trump and his people were caught up as incidental intelligence and that they were included and unmasked in intelligence reports.
Nunes says that the unmasking of names was totally inappropriate and there needs to be an answer as to why they were unmasked and why they were included in an intelligence report. Nunes said we are investigating whether the surveillance was conducted properly.
This stuff is amazing. One reporter asked him if he was saying what he said to give coverage to President Trump 🙄.
Personal opinion Nunes did not want to go the way of Ron Brown and Seth Rich. The genie is out of the bottle.

Roger that, and as I said, it’s a race to get info before it gets thrown into the shredders, note the veiled promises of leniency if the info’s given up without a huge fight. It’s harder to hide or destroy info gathered inhouse than it is any that might have been gathered through a contract source.
The definition of actions, methods and sources have been so twistedly redefined over the years that it’s damnded hard to put something concrete into a subpoena. It sounds like the WH has something by the tail and if they do they are well ahead in the game.

Listening to the Press Briefing, Spicer said they know less than what the press knows at this point, and that Nunes would be briefing the President. Question immediately asked about the “President interfering in the investigation”. As WeeWeed would say, “bastages!”

Yeah, I like that. Nunes is telling the press that despite the MSM’s denials that the Administration would dare surveil Trump or his people they now have a smoking gun. Press’s interests are centering around why Nunes ran straight over to the WH to report to The Dark Lord instead of burying the info until everyone in the known universe agrees it’s genuine. Or until the MSM gets to define it for the masses…whichever.

Sean pointed out that Nunes told the press before visiting the White House (which he has not yet done). Nunes did call President Trump this afternoon after the press conference.

Object of that line of questioning wasn’t to reach any truths, it was to further feed the tide of hate and suspicion directed at Trump.

‘Finding evidence’ also depends upon where you look. Let’s just suppose you’re a mucky-muck in a 3-letter agency and you retire. You get back with your old buds and tell them you can open a business to do dirty work and give them plausible deniability. They want some schmo’s comms surveilled but you don’t want the trail to come back to the agency.
You set up a storefront that supplies coffee room products to businesses, e.g. and may actually do so but at some location you have a room loaded with surveillance gear. Virtually untraceable monies are funneled to you through cutouts whole your info is reported back the same way.
It’s a way business is done and lawyers on both sides play word games back and forth, if you ain’t got a leaker you’re gonna spend the better part of a career trying to dig down through the layers of obfuscation.

Schiff’s already out there trashing Nunes and saying Nunes has poisoned the well and now he believes a viable investigation may eell be out of the question. He also seems to be giving the intel and LEA agencies an ‘out’ for not providing the requested data. As vigorously as he’s trashing Nunes it’s starting to seem like there may be a trail leading back to Big Rats and they’re closing protective ranks.
