I see that Durbin is determined to make an ass of himself yet again. Perhaps he is too stupid to know what the rest of us see clearly.

Apparently to our Dem Senators, feelings and sympathy for the “lesser among us” are more important than the law. I wonder how they would judge feelings and sympathy if the “lesser among us” was an unborn child?

The Senator wouldn’t care if those 5-4 decisions were decided the way HE wants them to be, and as they have been in the past.

I like that Gorsuch just keeps looking at them in a bewildered way and saying it is not my job to change the law, that is your job senator.

My take is that a judge really is limited by the law as written, and by precedent. Hon. Gorsuch has said over and over that he will not go rogue. He is so elequent.

Interesting…. I remember we used to go to the faculty dining room at this odd old house, it was open to the public,,,(at Columbia). Even at Dh’s hospital I think you can get a decent lunch from the cafeteria for about $5.

Are they still on their break? I fed the cat, and made a pan of beet greens (good stuff) for dinner. I’m baking a potato and will pan fry a salmon filet (wild sockeye).

Dh ordered the salmon for dinner. The food service lady said it was really good. They brought him a tuna salad sandwich. Fortunately, I left him a fried chicken leg as a back up. Hopefully he will be home tomorrow.
