I am listening to Hon. Gorsuch, he is so well spoken, so clear and easy to understand. He must be approved, how could anyone be better?

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse needs to watch a SchoolHouse Rock video about the separation of powers . Poor Judge Gorsuch after many attempts to get Whitehouse to make even a bit of sense finally had to say “Senator that is your job. A legislator legislates.”

This is the first time I’m really sitting down and watching it. I’m very impressed with Judge Gorsuch.
I watched Comey yesterday with all of his waffling and posturing and his double speak, his really unprofessional citing of what Comey imagines to be Putin’s emotions (Putin hates Hillary π€) as an acceptable legal answer in a hearing and I am comparing Comey to Gorsuch. Gorsuch is giving consistent, emotion free, legal answers and I am just stoned like a jellyroll by the difference in the two men.
One is a judge who respects and is bound by the law, one is an immoral weasel.

Sitting down to watch it again and I see poor Gorsuch is explaining the separation of powers to another idiot. Gorsuch seems unflappable. Great temperament for a judge.

Good grief. Kennedy is a real *ss. Giving a judge who is clearly smarter, more well read and well versed than he is a vocabulary test π.

I think Kennedy is smarter than he appears to be. He’s a good old boy, who wants to be underestimated, and I am thoroughly enjoying his questions.

Kennedy had some good questions, I thought, at the beginning of his period. He brought up some other aspects of Gorsuch’s cases that have been criticized by other Senators that put them in a much better light.

He did. I’m just being over critical because he was doing what the last guy I saw doing in conflating the different branches of the government and then when he asked Judge Gorsuch if he knew the meaning of enumerated it just annoyed me.

I like that Gorsuch openly shows contempt and ridicule for jerks like Dick Durbin. And Durbin saying that he was happy to have given Gorsuch an opportunity to clarify the situation reminded me of this;

This is political theatrics, nothing more and nothing less. Only thing that surprises me is that the Rats are soooooo bad at it, as if they’re just phoning it in. Maybe they know he’s in and they’re just going thru the motions, that with two Justices just waiting for the Reaper’s scythe they’re looking at the battles ahead.
