DOJ Slush Fund, 2017 Update

I wrote about this more than a year ago.  https://stellasplace1.com/2015/12/04/dojs-liberal-slush-fund/

It seems that it is still going on.

It’s disgusting. It works likes this, per the WSJ (Dec, 2015):

The Justice Department prosecutes cases against supposed corporate bad actors. Those companies agree to settlements that include financial penalties. Then Justice mandates that at least some of that penalty money be paid in the form of “donations” to nonprofits that they designate.

The department is in the process of funneling more than half-a-billion dollars to liberal activist groups, at least some of which will actively support Democrats in the coming election.

Like La Raza. It’s a way to funnel money to organizations supported by the Executive Branch without any input from Congress.

Hey! Maybe DOJ can now use this tactic to fund conservative causes. How about Right to Life? Center for Immigration Studies? NRA?

Seriously, though, will Congress finally make an attempt to patch the hole in the dike?

Maybe President Trump can tie up the funds with an EO until changes are made.

Yes, and prosecute those who thought up this scheme, “All Funds Collected by The United States Government are deposited in the Treasury General Fund”. I have written a few checks to the Treasury……..
