Impeach!!! New pot of coffee dripping as I type. More snow overnight into tomorrow morning. 3-6, 4-8, who knows. Just finished filling the wood box, another small bag of coal. Bags of salt for the steps and tractor under the warming lights.

Stella, the weather (pregnant, not by me) girl has most of the snow coming across the lake. Three snow belts in WPa, above I-80, I-76 to I-80 and below I-76. I’m in the second snow belt. That’s just for snow storms from the northwest. West and Southwest are different. Late afternoon, predicting high of 39* and the humidity is still 100%.

When I worked as a foot messenger in Boston for about 7 or so years, on and off, they had Big band Jazz on the plaza at City Hall, starting when everyone got off work, right about 6:00 PM. All summer, one Thursday a week. It was neat. Garbagemen, lawyers, couriers, architects, accountants, policemen, kitchen workers. All hanging out in Our City. Bus stations. Subway stations. Familiar faces in a town of millions, because our paths are routine and crossing regularly. We used to smoke doobies behind the Fleet Bank building at 75 State Street, every single day, with people from twenty different walks of life.
Boston was a lot like Stella’s Place.

Neo-swing came again in the late 80s, early 90s. Brian Setzer Orchestra from Stray Cats, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, etc. It was an intentional response in the Seattle area to all the angry, angsty Grunge music at the time. Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Alanis Morissette, etc.
Happy as it sounds, musically, it’s really dark stuff. Super-talented, and yet. And yet…
I’m guessing they’ve played at Besta Pizza and Comet Ping Pong.

The dank, dark, cold, empty third floor of the building I live in used to be a dance hall almost the size of a football field. Unbelievable wood floor.
I want to bring my piano and audio up there. The acoustics would be phenomenal. 14-foot ceilings.
Trouble is, my audio is my computer, which I would rather have right here, and not in a refrigerated 3rd floor.

I read about it a day earlier in the local business journal. Howard Schultz sent out a company-wide letter, of which I can only find snippets of. This should not be a huge surprise since he was a Clinton supporter.
…
“We are living in an unprecedented time, one in which we are witness to the conscience of our country, and the promise of the American Dream, being called into question,”
…
“These uncertain times call for different measures and communication tools than we have used in the past. Kevin and I are going to accelerate our commitment to communicating with you more frequently, including leveraging new technology platforms moving forward. I am hearing the alarm you all are sounding that the civility and human rights we have all taken for granted for so long are under attack, and want to use a faster, more immediate form of communication to engage with you on matters that concern us all as partners.”
…
“We have a long history of hiring young people looking for opportunities and a pathway to a new life around the world. This is why we are doubling down on this commitment by working with our equity market employees as well as joint venture and licensed market partners in a concerted effort to welcome and seek opportunities for those fleeing war, violence, persecution and discrimination,”
…
“There are more than 65 million citizens of the world recognized as refugees by the United Nations, and we are developing plans to hire 10,000 of them over five years in the 75 countries around the world where Starbucks does business. And we will start this effort here in the U.S. by making the initial focus of our hiring efforts on those individuals who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel in the various countries where our military has asked for such support.”
…
“We have been open for business in Mexico since 2002, and have since opened 600 stores in 60 cities across the country, which together employ over 7,000 Mexican partners who proudly wear the green apron. We have sourced coffee from Mexico’s producers and their families for three decades and last fall, we also announced the creation of a farmer support center in Chiapas to help accelerate our collective ability to grow and export some of the world’s finest coffees from this important growing region, while donating more than $2 million to support the livelihood, food security and water quality of coffee producing communities in Oaxaca,”
…
“With the support of thousands of Starbucks partners and millions of customers, we have also donated half a million coffee trees to support 70,000 families, and we will be expanding the initiative this year to generate another 4 million tree donations. Coffee is what unites our common heritage, and as I told Alberto Torrado, the leader of our partnership with Alsea in Mexico, we stand ready to help and support our Mexican customers, partners and their families as they navigate what impact proposed trade sanctions, immigration restrictions and taxes might have on their business and their trust of Americans. But we will continue to invest in this critically important market all the same.”

Well, even if I had any intention of buying their horrible coffee, I wouldn’t now for sure. Why do I want goodness-knows-who making my coffee. Obviously they don’t care who they hire. They might hire that muslim man who ran, or maybe still runs, a restaurant, and kept a filthy glass jar for water for his washing himself in the bathroom, in his kitchen sink.

I moved to Seattle in 1980 and immediately became a devoted fan of Starbuck’s. They had opened on my birthday in 1971, and at that point 9 years later had only a half dozen or so stores in the Seattle area only. No one outside of Seattle had ever heard of them. They were a small operation and their product was excellent. A decade passed they mushroomed, went national and then international and became a HUGE operation. The quality of their product went down the toilet. Now every cup they brew tastes burnt. I haven’t been a customer since the mid 90s, unless I’m stuck in an airport with no other option. I hated seeing what happened to them, because they used to be good. And then liberalism took over and ruined everything, as it always does.

We never had one, but had a neighbor when our kids were young who did. My kids played on it a few times, nobody ever got hurt, but it did have the springs covered.
It honestly was probably safer than some of the things I did as a kid like jumping off sheds into hay or out of the barn loft onto hay, rolling down hills in tractor tires. I remember when all my cousins would get together we’d take the old cloth tarp my poppa covered his car with and four would get on each corner and one would lay on it and get tossed into the air. It always drove our granny crazy and she’d make us put it back, Poppa would always just say that things like that was what knocked some sense into stupid kids. We did a lot of things that knocked a lot of sense into us, so I guess we were really stupid kids. lol

I don’t what kind of weekend everyone else had but I’ll admit mine was a little rough dealing with the Usual Suspects on Twitter with their weeping and gnashing of teeth over Trump’s “Muslim Ban.”
I antagonized one liberal so badly he went back to my Twitter page and started looking at my Tweets. (Tee hee!)
I don’t always get called a “mere bigot” but when I do, a liberal has just discovered what the Koran actually says, rather then what the media told him it said.

It is amazing how often and ignorantly “xenophobia” is thrown around on Twitter. How many more times must Muslims kill us and tell us that Sharia will dominate the world before their enablers believe them?

It’s happening all right, been setting the groundwork coming on to two decades now. Thing is that most Americans are happy with denial, using the lack of 911-like attacks to convince themselves that their denial is truth. They befriend ‘safe’ Moslems to convince themselves further that all Moslems are like the ones thry know and that their befriended will stand with them were the STHTF.
Jamaat ul-Fuqra changed its name to the less threatening ‘Moslems of America’ to distance itself from its Pakistani terrorist roots and further feed US denial. They have ‘communities’ all across the US and appearbto havevslso formed a relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR. We watched them, the FBI closely watched them, even local and state PD watched them but despite their scary underpinnings no one’s cracked down on them.
I’d mentioned more than once the Moslem training camps along the US Mexican border but the MSM is largely ignoring them. Y’all hear about the ‘suspicious device’ found at the fuel yard for the Nogales power plant in 2014? Had that ‘suspicious device’ have blown up it could have blacked out the entire city. How about, a few years before that, the ‘suspicious device’ found floating in the Mississippi just below NOLA – it looked a lot like an improvised explosive device we’d been told about years earlier used to attack harbor targets. How about that shootout between Mexican military and Islamic bad guys in Juarez where they captured unspecified documents in Urdu and Arabic along with a detailed map of Ft Bliss. That was the 2015 shootout, not the one just about two weeks ago at the US consulate site – same folks.
Gotta realize that THEY have a different concept of time than WE do, and they realize they are a minority and the majority outnumbers and outguns them. Folks here tend to think their campaign will look like some TV pap such as ’24’. They have to lay in an operationsl infrastructure with secure safehouses and supply dumps. They need sufficient supplies to last through the inevitable crackdowns that will follow the onset of attacks. They need secure comms and transport and insiders at all levels of government to provide intel and to help disrupt responses. It takes time to set all of that up and train fighters to operate in a new culture, as well as soften up the target through a propaganda campaign. They have patience and the knowledge that they have one chance and have to do it right the first time. When it comes it won’t be a few jihadis shooting up a nightclub or a church, it will be a coordinated flood designed to shock and awe.

Most people don’t want to know what’s creeping up behind them, denial is better than trying to deal with the cognitive dissonance of what you want reality to be versus what it is. I can imagine caveperson saying go his/herself that “there’s no sabertooth tiger out there, there’s no sabertooth tiger out there” before leaving the cave in the middle of the night to relieve his/herself.

Czar, now that’s the Intell lay down that is needed and should be on everybody’s radar. A small well armed platoon can overwhelm a PD in a matter of minutes. With Larger attacks initially successful local gangs will rise up and join in. Thus PD’s are negated. Even the NG/AR could be overwhelmed within a few days, and the same with the Military. Now the burden falls on the Citizens to step up. That’s my question will the Citizens step up?

Witnesses told how the gunmen burst into the mosque dressed in black waterproof jackets shouting ‘Allahu akbar’ at around 8pm.
One man who tried to stop them was shot in the face, Hamid Nadji told 24hours. One of the gunmen left the building twice to reload his weapon, he added.
Most of those inside the building were men praying on the ground floor while women and children were upstairs.

Anyone who is fighting the good fight about Steve Bannon being added to the National Security Council: Steve Bannon has a master’s degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and was a Naval officer for seven years, serving on the destroyer USS Paul F. Foster as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Pacific Fleet and stateside as a special assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon. Hardly a no-nothing regarding National Security.

Here is additional info; a reply on FB asking me to defend Bannon’s appointment to the NSC (in addition to the education and Naval service of Bannon):
No need to defend Steve Bannon, based upon his education and Naval Service.
Compare him to Rahm Emanuel, who served on the NSC under Barack Obama. Here is his CV, in part:
“He won a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet, but turned it down to attend Sarah Lawrence College, a liberal arts school with a strong dance program. While an undergraduate, Emanuel was elected to the Sarah Lawrence Student Senate. He graduated from Sarah Lawrence in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, and went on to receive a Master of Arts in Speech and Communication from Northwestern University in 1985.”

Fake News, Failed States and “America First”
Very interesting! Article closes with:
Something went sour in American public life a century ago when mainline Protestantism embraced Walter Rauschenberg’s “Social Gospel” and Woodrow Wilson declared that it was America’s responsibility to make the world safe for democracy. Rather than the exceptionalism of the Puritan founders and Abraham Lincoln, who saw Americans as an “almost chosen people” set apart from the Old World, Wilsonian liberalism styled the elite as little gods on earth whose job it was to remake the world in our image. Sadly, a red thread connects Wilson with George W. Bush’s failed Freedom Agenda.
Most Americans have had enough of this. We elected Donald Trump to protect us. His promise to halt Muslim immigration was the turning point in his campaign fortunes, and rightly so. To declare that we will no longer bear the burdens of failed states, though, is to tell the elite that they are not an elite at all–they simply are unemployed. And it tells liberals that their secular path to salvation is shut down for the duration.
“I haven’t had so much fun since the hogs ate my kid brother,” said Dashiell Hammett’s Continental Op. Watching the liberals squeak and gibber is a treat. Enjoy the show, and don’t believe what you read in the papers.

How to adjust the narrative. Noon news is saying that ‘thousands have taken to the streets in New York City to protest Trump’s executive orders’. Not said: “Millions didn’t take to the streets in New York City to protest Trump’s executive orders’.

Watching the noon news coverage of the SAG awards and the parade of ‘stars’ slamming Trump’s orders and snuggling up to the Moslem community. My solution is to send them to Syria and Iraq and let them directly confront the various fundamentalist groups, telling them that their interpretation of Islam is incorrect and that the sybaritic, atheistic, extravagant consumptive and self-indulgent lifestyle they follow allows them a clearer view of Islam. They’ll agree that an interim loss of innocent kafir life is acceptable in the pursuit of inclusiveness, just not their lives.

Catholics Ask Trump to Probe Soros-Obama-Clinton Conspiracy at Vatican
Did billionaire speculator George Soros, President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, and Obama/Clinton adviser John Podesta conspire to overthrow the conservative Pope Benedict XVI and replace him with a radical, Pope Francis? Did they use America’s intelligence agencies, and our nation’s diplomatic machinery, political muscle, and financial power to coerce and blackmail “regime change” in the Roman Catholic Church?
Far from being some wild conspiracy theory, there is sound prima facie evidence to indicate that this is a serious effort to expose a political scandal of the highest order, involving flagrant, criminal abuse of power at the top levels of the U.S. government. A group of respected Catholic lay leaders have sent a letter to President Donald Trump urging him to launch an official investigation into the activities of the above mentioned individuals (and others) who appear to have been involved in this alleged Vatican coup. They cite eight specific questions they seek to have answered concerning suspect events that led to the resignation of Pope Benedict, the first such papal abdication in 700 years.

More information about the National Security Council:
National Security Council.
I will try to explain this once and for all.
President Trump reorganized the Principals Committee, which is a subset of the National Security Council. He added Steve Bannon to the Principals Committee, and withdrew invitations to the Principals Committee from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Director of National Intelligence.
President Trump DID NOT remove these two people from the National Security Council; in fact, since they are there as a matter of statute, he cannot remove them.
On Jan. 30, 2017, at the Whitehouse Press Briefing, the Whitehouse Press Sec. further clarified the previous day’s announcement, stating “the President also signed a memorandum modernizing the structure of the National Security Council.” The two issues at hand are the make up of the NSC and that of the Principals Committee.
In regards to the Principals Committee, the Whitehouse Press Sec. said it is “the NSC minus the president. The idea is that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the DNI being downgraded or removed is utter nonsense. They are at every NSC meeting and are welcome to attend the Principals Meeting as well. If there is a Principals meeting outside of their scope, for example, a homeland, domestic issue that doesn’t pertain to the military, they’re not required, but certainly welcome to be in attendance.”
