Those are Zauberformel recipe sweets, the bacon’s been blended into a smooth coalition of components designed to work together without any of the individual ingredients sticking out.
Hey, been waiting mobths to use this, figured this was my best shot so ya gets what ya gets.

You remember those chocolate-covered marshmallow treats called “Mohrenköpfe” (Moor`s heads) (and were called something else before that I can`t repeat here)? They are now jokingly referred to as “süsses Konfekt mit Migrationshintergrund” (sweet confection with an immigration background). Snort. Giggle. http://www.esskultur.net/lm/negerkuss.html

No, don’t specifically remember them but the locals in the Pfalz had more than a few cute names for confections. We used to haunt the Chridtkindlesmart in Nuremberg and they had some some interesting sobriquets too.
Do miss the Christmas festivities there, especially drinking my way through the marts…mulled wine mixed with some brandy followed by killer headaches. Really miss the smell of coal fires in the cold early mornings out in the village we lived in. We’d be up before dawn, standing in line at the milk station with tin milk cans in hand waiting to get ’em filled.

Impeach, that’s my front yard, right this minute! Except the moose isn’t just on the mug, he’s standing in my yard. It’s just starting to get light, looks like we got a fresh 2″ last night.

We have had 18 1/2 inches of snow so far this year, apparently 9 inches more than the average. With the freezing temps our side roads are an icy slush. More snow on Christmas. And yes 80% of Wisconsinites are winning about how we will survive the winter.
The rest of the folks are ice fishing, snowmobiling, skiing, ice skating and not acting like it is a shock to have snow in WI in December.

It doesn’t look like it’s going to be a white Christmas for us this year, they’re calling for 60’s and thunderstorms Christmas day. I’m sure if it happens some will be claiming it’s unheard of and blaming climate change. Although I can remember warm Christmas days in my lifetime and my Mom could remember more than once tornadoes on Christmas day.
That’s Oklahoma weather for you.

They are giving different forecasts for Christmas here, anything from rain to snow. I hope it isn’t either as I have to drive for a couple of hours.

I would love a white Christmas, but we rarely get one around here.
I just laugh at the people who act like it’s always cold on Christmas. They obviously live in their own reality.

Cute and sweet video, but potentially dangerous. People tend to think moose are cuddley Bullwinkles that you can pet and kiss like a puppy. In fact they are huge wild animals that have no fondness for you and can be quite dangerous. The moose bull in this video is in captivity and likely has been there for years; thus has attitudes towards people that are not representative of his species. Do NOT try this in the wild, folks!

Unfortunately, his situation is a bit more complicated. They are installing some kind of stent that had to be custom made in Australia, and, after an earlier surgery, his colon stopped functioning, which was another complicated issue. But, we are all hoping for the best. So we are going to have a wonderful lunch.

Odessa? I remember your mentioning Baba Yar, that’s what led me to think Kiev, though your family might have moved back, but Kiev was looking at becoming a free trade area. Then you said South Beach and that means water (or a healthy LGBT population) and Odessa was also vying for free trade area status.

Odessa had been a free trade zone initially, and up to 1918, and certainly does not want to belong to Ukraine. Yes, South Beach is both water AND LGBT population. No, the Odessa part of the family had been in Odessa way before the revolution and returned to Odessa after the war. It’s the Kiev part of the family that was killed.

I’m reading ‘Enhanced Interrogation’ by James E. Mitchell. If you want an idea of what kind of ‘person’ Sen Feinstein is and what kind of breed of lawyers we’re growing, read just the preface if nothing else.
Mr Mitchell also gives you a direct insight into the minds of the top tier of Islamic terrorists wevhave locked away, an insight he gained from interrogating them. It takes a lot of the gray areas from one’s mind about what we’re up against and and what their motivations and plans are.
Getbit from your library, read it from cover to cover and thank God morning and night that the Clintons didn’t win the election.

It’s made with muddled orange, Jägermeister, a dash of O.J. and Bitters, Crown Royal Maple whiskey and garnished with Jalapeño Bacon! The taste is like “pancakes in a glass.” And with the bacon garnish, you’ve practically got a full breakfast in a glass!
Recipe:
1 1/2 fl ounces – Crown Royal Maple
1/2 fl oz – Jagermeister
2 dashes – Bitters
1 fl oz orange juice
1 slice orange
1 slice jalapeno bacon skewer
Directions:
1. In a rocks glass muddle orange slice with bitters and orange juice.
2. Fill glass with ice and add Crown Royal Maple and Jagermeister.
3. Shake well. Garnish with jalapeno bacon skewer.

Now, how does Country make it up into the cheese country?

I was a country music fan back in high school in Chicago but living in Texas is when I really expanded my country roots. Kenny is great, one of my favorite Chesney songs is “Anything but Mine”
As to sleep it really doesn’t matter how much I get I rarely ever take a nap 😊.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Wow. now talk about Kenney’s beach looking like home, that place could be Santa Cruz with the Boardwalk park there. had to look really close to not be so.
Were you seaside in Texas? Love me some Zac Brown too, he’s got a lot of good ones as well.
Me. A rocker. Skynyrd. Best ever, so I do like the Southern variety. Love the 60’s music. Actually love the BeeGees, (born on the Isle of Man) go figure.
Heard country all my life, just not my cup of tea, two of my best friends in high school only listened to it. Then, my son went to school down in San Diego, and decided to become a cowboy. One Christmas break, he grabbed my iPod and loaded it up with his music.
That’s when I became a fan of Kenney. Speaks my lingo.

Zac Brown “Sweet Annie” gets played very loudly in my car 🙂
Every time I hear this song it brings back a world of memories. One of my best friends who actually lived with us for a while looked a lot like the bride and her name was Annie. Definitely captures her spirit.
I like a lot of different music, speaking of music, all those nub heads refusing to play at Trump’s inauguration make me laugh. The Hollywood PTB intimidating people into not performing pisses me off.
Get Charlie Daniels up on the stage and call it a day. I wonder what bands have the nuggets to play and not bow to the PC crowd.

Saw one of the guys from ZZ Top backed him, sound was off, but think they may play.
Good song,
Zac’s “Hwy 21 Ride” gets me. I was driving out to Texas back in 2009, work had crashed here in CA so I took some tools and went and did a garage remodel by Ft. Worth. Marriage was going downhill, could see the end coming, and this song kept coming on the radio.
Many tears shed on that trip, not only for what I knew was coming and for my children, but for my own childhood as well. Swore an oath and battled fiercely for 29 years to not put my kids through what I had. Oh well.
Brighter note! First heard Taylor Swift during that time too. Say what you want, girl has a way with words. Her “State of Grace” blows my doors, every time I hear it still. Took my youngest down to Sac 3 years ago to see her, her opening song. Oh my.

I often tell people that music is cheaper than therapy and often more useful. I told a therapist this once in front of her patient 😜 I was there as an advocate for the patient. The therapist threw a fit worthy of a tantrum throwing two year old. It was quite an experience.
The therapist was forced by her boss to write with me and the patient a formal apology 😎

Let’s see: shopping, lunch out, tennis, baking bread. Should be a full day. I hemmed and hawed about the bread, but it is a tradition, annnnnd, I only did one batch of cookies. There is nothing (in my world) that is nicer than the smell of bread baking. Christmas morning I have home made bread, toasted, with Jarlsberg cheese, just like every other Christmas for the last 50 years. 🙂 Sometimes I just go hog wild and melt some butter on the toast. Insane!

Anyhow, it has become one of our Christmas traditions, along with either my husband’s grandmother’s roll recipe or my own sourdough bread. Think I’m going to make more cookies today too. I only eat this kind once a year. I gave most of them away, so I need some more.

LOVE IT! Whiny-pants Bill Clinton, obviously pissed at losing his slot at the trough, one off, gets all stompy footed with a reporter: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/dec/19/bill-clinton-donald-trump-knows-how-to-get-angry-w/
Well, Hillary knows how to get angry entitlement Rats of all ethnicities to vote for her as their official shepherd, just not in the quantities needed to elevate her to Thief-in-Chief.
I like Bill’s dismissive “Trump don’t know nuffon’ jibe. Hey Bill, he knows how to EARN money, a skill you obviously lack. Were it not for your ability to panhandle at an international level you’d be out there trying to learn what an honest job is.
I might suggest that you use some of those Clinton Billions to buy some security. Now that you and your equally slimy half have no influence to offer some of those benefactors that held their Islamic activist pals at bay just might decide there’s no gain in doing so any further. Those guys have long memories and might not be so willing to forgive and forget those pokes you took at them during your reigns.

“I watched her work for two years, I watched her battle through that bogus email deal,” Clinton said after casting his electoral vote for Hillary Clinton in New York.
“She fought through that, she fought through everything,” he said. “She prevailed against it all but in the end we had the Russians and the FBI deal and she couldn’t prevail against that.”
Bill Clinton continues to try and groom his victims with his “Aw shucks she just couldn’t beat this last deal.”

The Foolish Reason The Federal Government Is Storing A Literal Mountain Of Cheese
http://opportunitylives.com/the-foolish-reason-the-federal-government-is-storing-a-literal-mountain-of-cheese/
For the past few decades, the feds have been keeping a literal mountain of cheese lying around for no ascertainable purpose. As of March 31, about 1.2 billion pounds of excess cheese had been accumulated in commercial cold-storage freezers across the United States — the largest such stockpile in history, according to the Washington Post. That’s 39 pounds of cheese for every man, woman and child in the country — so much cheese, in fact, that the government has been encouraging fast food chains to create new cheesy-centric products just to get rid of some of it.

I totally agree. WITH butter substitutes instead of the real thing, etc. Flour, sugar, lard, egg and milk substitutes and make these lazy bastiges learn how to cook.
A day or two of picking cotton by hand wouldn’t hurt ’em, either.

No wonder my wife’s complaining about the price of cheese. Apparently we’ve bought nearly 120 pounds of it with our taxes, but it’s being stored where we can’t get it, so we have to buy more from a diminished supply with after tax dollars.

I suppose paying a farmer to produce nothing is kind of like keeping a lawyer on retainer; it keeps him handy if you need him.
Buying a farmers produce and not using it is an extension of that same idea, but also maintains the farmers’ production skills and knowledge.

Not necessarily. Godzilla owns farm property (she’s a millionaire, fyi) and bitches about the amount she’s paid to NOT produce.
