Made it. No one out! They actually don’t allow parking up there on weekends anymore!

Breakfast at Mel’s (American Graffitti), down Lombard crooked street, was able to stop and take pictures while on it! Up to Coit, parked! Walked around a few time snapping pics. Down through the Marina to Fort Point ‘neath the Golden Gate.
One of those absolutely crystal clear, crisp fall mornings! Gorgeous. Breakfast (second) with the kiddos soon, then off to golf Lincoln Park, above Fort Point by the Legion of Honor, one of my most favorite places on earth.
Have been wanting to play this course for 35 years, today is the day!

Well, the Egyptian Islamic animals are back at it again. Every few years they pick this seaon to blow up a Coptic church, complete with worshipers. I do not remember the evening MSM news carrying this to any degree, then again the people who did this aren’t Islam, Islam is limited to only those practitioners who meet a sensitized version of the religion of peace.

Back in the Cold War days we’d watch Russian ‘commercial/trade’ ships coming into port up the Mississippi. The specialists in thst kind of analysis would take inventory of visual antennas on the ship and compare them to known examples to get an idea of what sorts of communications/surveillance equipment thry had on board. There was one anchorage just across the hiway from the Joint Base and, when a Rooskie merchant ship managed to get a slot there we’d get a heads-up to limit comms on unsecured systems.
There were also ‘merchant’ ships equipped with underwater mapping systems that would record the underwater topography of the river and ports…never can tell when it might come in handy.
They aren’t alone, there is a US source we could tap to find all of the underwater features and tidal information we needed, current or historical, to plan missions, can’t but guess where they got that.
I’m betting the sonar unit was probably just a mapping one, not one geared to taking snoopy stuff. Once the Chinese determined it didn’t have any ‘special’ features they received permission to return it. At least the insult remains.
You can bet the Navy wil be going through the returned drone to make sure no post-capture circuits or software have been added. I’m betting some changes to all of the drones’ systems will be made too so as to counter any Chinese abilities to exploit them.

But do you think if Hillary was going to be our next POTUS that China would give it back? My thought is just like when it was Obama the Chinese would enjoy sticking their thumb in the eye of Clinton and America.

My bet was based on how quickly they returned it, had it have been a spooky kinda thang they’d have disassembled it, studied it st leisure and returned it in boxes. Remember how long it took them to return our EP-3 Navy spy plane in 2001? It came back in pieces and they got some gooooood stuff offen it.

Can Progressives Stop Making My Christmas Traditions Political?

My mom went to see George Frideric Handel’s ‘Messiah,’ and the maestro went off on an anti-Trump rant. Is nothing sacred anymore?

    http://thefederalist.com/2016/12/16/can-progressives-stop-making-christmas-traditions-political/

My mom texted me the following day to say that at the beginning of the performance Boyd encouraged the audience to remain seated during the “Hallelujah” chorus. He suggested we might be better off ruled by King George again, who started the tradition of standing during that portion of the work, rather than by President-Elect Donald Trump.

When the Hallelujah chorus began, half of the audience stood and half remained seated. Not surprisingly, I haven’t seen any news reports confirming this, but my parents later discovered another set of friends had attended the performance in the front row. They too heard the rant and were surprised. My parents reported it was “awkward.” I would add reprehensible.

Afternoon Stella!!!! I’m beginning to agree with rush limbo, it’s time to attack, attack, these progressives, economically, destroying their platforms for their self promotion or any means necessary, take them to court, rewrite the social rules, give these people no quarter. Then I wake up and realize this would never happen…..

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

    Matthew 1:20-21 KJV

No SF/F author could have come up with this. And it actually happened.

    That whole history.

Not even Azimov had a vision this big.

I pray that this Christmas shows Americans this truth, and opens this window for them.

And the butchers bill will continue till November 11, 1918 , then into the 1920’s and ’30s. As the returning US Veterans were called the “loss generation”. This is why myself and others studied “the Art of War”. War is terrible, very costly in Human life and I could go on with many reasons not to engage in war.
Preparedness is the key, remember all of the hype about the Iraqi Army before the first gulf war and our national press was saying we would our ass kicked. Well to be honest, very honest, I wasn’t sure about how our equipment could or would function. Then after our first mission, (Scud hunting and spotting for Artillery raids) erase all of my doubts in the performance of soldiers and equipment.
And to make a long story short, it’s all about studying the art of war, so this will not happen again…..
Now as I sit by my fireside, I’m glad that I shovel horse sh t at Ft. Meade for six months before going to RVN………
