    Good morrow, all!

I’ve been praying and mulling something over in my head for a long while now, and I think I’ve finally been given an answer, and like most answers from prayer, it seems fairly obvious and anti-climactic, and you wonder why you didn’t understand it all along in the first place. Maybe some of you do. Regardless, I want to bounce this off of you fine folk, and see if you have any insights. I need some help crafting a meaningful message that can be shared from what follows.

My question is this: Why does/did God make stupid people? There are a great many stupid people in the world. My grandfather used to say, “God must truly love the common man, for he made so many of them.” Whether an individual is just ignorant, or truly is low-IQ, how can there exist such wildly disparate and unequal intelligences and understanding? How or why can people be expected to figure things out and know and love God when clearly so many of them are basically handicapped in their ability to know God?

This question has been of concern to me, especially since there appears to be a large portion of IQ potential that is coded for in DNA, bringing up all kinds of eugenics, racism, and other issues if not handled well.

I now have the answer, and like most things with God, it all goes back to Love.

Intelligence is a gift from God. It is a talent, and like all talents, is bequeathed in unequal measure amongst the living. This is self-evident. Many of our individual talents are coded for in our genes, and it is how each of us use our talents for the glory of His name, and the promulgation of His will here that we shall be called to account upon our judgement day.
Like all talents, intelligence is a tool. It is obviously of great benefit to those that have it, just as all talents are of great benefit to those who possess them. However, it seems clear to me that intelligence is rarely used by those who possess its power to afford greater blessings upon their neighbors. Most use their intelligence in pursuit of mammon, to selfishly benefit themselves, to oppress their neighbors, or to justify their evils. A very great many of the worst evils that have occurred on this poor planet have been done so out of the raw exercise of intelligence in the service of ego, selfishness, narcissism, and pride.

God did not send His Son to call the intelligent. He came to call sinners. He did not come to bring people to higher IQs. He came to bring them his Love, his Mercy, and His Forgiveness.
While all created persons may not be able to fathom all mysteries with their intelligence, all can experience and share love in their lives. The most meagerly gifted in intelligence in this world are often those most filled with love, and willing to share that love unconditionally with anyone at all, simply because they happened to meet them. The font of Love in each person is of a limitless amount, and it is to share that divine Love with each other that we are called, and which the very Son of the Most High came to model for us.

Love is the entire point. It is the premise of my First Principles posts. Love is our calling. Love is our duty. Christianity is meant to espouse Love to the world, through Jesus. Love gives the respect for life; love grants the stamina to persevere in adversity; love inflames courage to stand in the face of doubt and terror. Love is the source of salvation, and the foundation of civilization. Love is the defender of the minority, the downtrodden, the forgotten, and the ignorant.

The foundation of equality under the law is rooted in the precepts of Christianity, specifically that of each individual of inestimable worth to the Almighty, has been granted free will, and is capable of loving and being loved. No two people are equal in ability, talent, upbringing, background, or station in life. No two people are equal in understanding of anything. But all individuals are equal in their ability to choose love, to share love, and to experience love. We are each called to love our neighbors as ourselves, and God with all our will.

Come Holy Spirit, and enkindle in our hearts the fire of your divine Love!

I hang it on God’s double-edged gift of ‘free will’. We have the free will to choose any path, any course of action; we’re given instructions on how to act but that choice is up to us.
Maybe some/a lot/most of those stupid, physically/emotionally/mentally or otherwise life-damaged people are put here to test our decision processes when dealing with them. I know that for some 25 years my wife dealt on a daily, sometimes more often, basis with people I couldn’t be in the same room with for 5 minutes while I dealt with people on the street that she didn’t even want to know existed. I had to believe I was there, as were those I came in contact with, for a reason and my interaction would have some degree of repercussion. Then again, I’ll bet a lot of them thought I was stupid too.

… “My question is this: Why does/did God make stupid people? …”

It’s very difficult due to todays society (as depicted on television) to determine the truly stupid people vs. just followers of stupid. The followers of stupid have been educated to act and think just like the truly stupid, and unless some life changing event happens, AND they realize their own action or inaction directly effects their daily lives, they will continue drifting through life, stupidly.

This had been inflicted upon Western society for over 200 years as the next level of human evolution. We have done this to ourselves.

I was just explaining these to my 15 yr old daughter, who experienced first twinges of heartache, in an attempt to console her. It is amazing our ‘bounce back’ abilities as well, she is happy go lucky once again.
God did a good job setting this all up.

My thoughts. Why did God create stupid people?

      1) Creation is an ongoing process and it builds on itself, when we are getting to the nth generation that hasn’t exercised its mind the cerebral connections tend to die off. Thus genetically atrophied brains become part of the family norm.

      2) The family is a mini trinity. Many families are missing the father head. Many children who have no father figure cannot relate to a benevolent onimpotent God. Uncles, grandfathers, community members used to step in and fill that void for widows with children now fatherless children are the norm.

      3) Like worldly goods and money the ability to use ones intelligence and freewill is passed down from families from generation to generation.

      4) This is self-evident. Many of our individual talents are coded for in our genes, and it is how each of us use our talents for the glory of His name, and the promulgation of His will here that we shall be called to account upon our judgement day.

I don’t have time right now but we all come preprogramed with certain “alleles” these genes have their high end and their low end of possibilities. Our nurture/environment plays a huge role into which end of the spectrum our alleles take us to.

      5) The most meagerly gifted in intelligence in this world are often those most filled with love, and willing to share that love unconditionally with anyone at all, simply because they happened to meet them.

In our culture people are not valued for their spirit of love and kindness and often strangers shy away from people like this. We have lost the value of human dignity in order to remain a society that is willing to slaughter it seems unceasingly the most innocent among us in the most sacred place on earth, the womb.

In short I don’t think it is really a fair question “Why did God create so many stupid people.” God created man with free will and we became who we have become for a million different reasons. The more difficult question and unanswerable question for me is why did God create angels and people at all. The Trinity was complete, pure love and perfectly joyful. Look at all the suffering in the world, the evils on earth, an eternal hell, why not leave well enough alone and not create people or angels of freewill ?

I know the philosophical answer to that is because God loved so much that his love on its own could not help but give birth to life outside itself. That answer, given the consequences of that loves creation, eternal suffering for some of God’s children, a world that will have perpetual pain suffering and hate, is not an answer which gives me comfort.

So I cling to 1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

For me it is all incomprehensible.

    • Matthew 18:3 tells us we have to become like little children before we can go to heaven. It truly does come down to love. Loving your neighbors as ourself. Husbands love your wife as Christ loves the church. As you stated we are given abilities and some very intelligent people are faithful Christians. I’ve been blessed in my life to know many like that. However, some of the most loving Christian people I’ve known are probably not considered the most intellectually gifted. These are the ones who truly “become like children”. To me this means loving others unconditionally and finding joy in the world when others don’t see it. Some of the most loving people and most Christ-like I’ve ever known are people with Down’s syndrome. To me, they are truly special people. The ones I have spent time with love everyone and accept everyone and see the world through eyes that are not jaded by the world. I believe it boils down to innocent hearts and minds and not being corrupted by the world. When money, power, indifference, disappointment, lust, etc. become a part of our lives, it’s impossible to think like a child and be pure of heart. One of the reasons that I’ve spent my life taking care of children and special needs people is because I love that they still believe the world is good and they love life. Every day is exciting to them. I think that many who are super intelligent are so focused on their goals and aren’t truly happy, whereas many who are not as mentally gifted can still see the beauty in the world and those around them and don’t seek enrichment as their means to happiness.

Having said all that, their are people who inherently through no fault of their own lack intelligence. Many actually choose to be stupid. Others haven’t had the opportunity at good education and live in situations where they will never be able to better themselves due poor parenting/lifestyle. To me the truly stupid people are ones who lack good judgement. Going back to the Bible, there is the parable of the talents in Matthew 23. Three men were given talents each according to their ability. The first two were wise and grew their monies and were given even more as a reward for good work. The third man buried his talent in the ground and his master said he was a wicked slothful servant. The moral of it to me is that God gives us all abilities and we ultimately choose our destiny. Even those who are not as mentally gifted can accomplish great things in life. It’s a choice.

For some time I have been reading about the Christians who suffer in the Middle East, and remembering all the recent martyrs. I have spent some time wondering if I could suffer so and stay true as they have done.

Of course the answer is that I could not…unless I gave myself totally into God’s grace. He could give me that strength, should I have the courage to accept it.

Being rather slow and dim in my thinking, it has occurred to me that I’ve been asking myself only half the question. I left off the most important half. Could I die saying “Forgive them Lord…”

Not right now. Finish your work in me, oh Lord. I’m not there yet.

But the most interesting question has to do with what problem both of them were trying to solve with the debate. Clinton tried to look healthy, and as I mentioned, I don’t think she completely succeeded. But Trump needed to solve exactly one problem: Look less scary. Trump needed to counter Clinton’s successful branding of him as having a bad temperament to the point of being dangerous to the country. Trump accomplished exactly that…by…losing the debate.

Trump was defensive, and debated poorly at points, but he did not look crazy. And pundits noticed that he intentionally avoided using his strongest attacks regarding Bill Clinton’s scandals. In other words, he showed control. He stayed in the presidential zone under pressure. And in so doing, he solved for his only remaining problem. He looked safer.

By tomorrow, no one will remember what either of them said during the debate. But we will remember how they made us feel.

Clinton won the debate last night. And while she was doing it, Trump won the election. He had one thing to accomplish – being less scary – and he did it.

The polls have never been closer in battleground states and the momentum for this great conservative movement continues to grow.

Here are a few ways you can help make a difference in this election.

    1. Join the Trump Talk Army. You can make calls to voters right from your own home. Go to http://talk.donaldjtrump.com to start making calls today! All you need to do is use funny accents and yell, “You’re fired!” before hanging up.

    2. Deploy to a battleground state and fight on the front lines. Email us at hq.info.wa@donaldtrump.com and a member of our staff will contact you as soon as possible. You will be drone dropped into gated communities with Trump MRE stakes to use in door to door urban combat!

    3. Attend our local Trump events and help register voters here in our home state. Please see below for a list of local Trump events and call centers. Make sure to smile since the FBI will be taking photos of everyone coming and going to use in the reeducation camping experience shortly after the election.

With your help we can Make Washington and America Great Again!
